The weekend was great! I stayed on plan for the majority of it save a couple of beers and glasses of wine. I can definitely feel the bloat. So, I probably over did the calories on yummy protein and summer fruit. I am going to try and cut beer and wine out for a few weeks The fam and i unpacked and had a great time watching the fireworks from our favorite spot. It was the first year my youngest wasn't afraid...it was amazing seeing his face as the fireworks lit up the night sky. He was in awe. I am off to check on my friend's journals Keep up the faith!!

I am so ready to get back into exercise. I really got healthy and knew I was on the right track when I did the Couch 2 5k. I don't think I am ready for that but, I am going to start it. No turning back now!
I wrote it down which means I'm going to do it!

Yes!! I've printed out the couch 2 5K workout plan. I've done this before, but was much smaller. Good thing my mind still thinks it's under 200 Gotta love that!

Thanks my friends!!! I weighed in and was a little skeeered....but imagined the co-worker as my doctor to put my mind at rest. At least it is over and I don't have to do it again until 8.26.13....whew...that is a relief.

Whoo-Hooo!! I can feel your fire and determination!! Oh it's on, LOL. I started working out on my treadmill today and ran a bit, wasn't pretty but it did cross my mind to do the couch to 5 k again also. I got up to running non-stop for 20 min which is the longest I've ever been able to run. I did have to repeat a couple of weeks until I felt more comfortable moving on to the next week but it felt awesome!! You can do it!!

Yes, i am definitely on fire!! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had to do a few weeks over and over in the couch to 5k I felt so good while doing that...i may have to do week 1 for a few weeks, but i have to remember not too push to far too fast The point is to complete it and reach the goal. I remember running in the rain and ice when it was winter. i was so determined then and feel determined again

YES, that's when you know exercise has become a part of your life and will do anything to do it daily because you begin to feel awful when it's missed. I want to get there again too. It usually takes a couple of weeks but starting and staying with it the first week can be the hardest.

Today was great! I went on a nice walk for exercise and enjoyed every minute. Sure, it was to get a diet soda...i have to have a reason to walk these days However, i am hoping the good feelings begin to make me want to walk just to walk and feel my body challenged. I did not start the running quit yet. i'm going to ease into it; because i think it may be the reason I didn't get out last night. I need to make sure that I take care of myself when I get home. Since I'm not fond of my job i find it very boring and tedious. As soon as I get home i become a vegetable and want to lay down and not get up. I do not like this and want it to stop. So, today when I get home I will change into workout clothes and go for a walk...doesn't have to be a run yet My kids will love me for it

Thanks, Deb. I have to remember my limitations and definitely do not want to get injured. I feel that i can injure myself very easily these days.

Everyone has to start somewhere. No matter what you are doing or how slow you are, at least you are being active and you're lapping everyone on the couch!

WTG Jen! Exercise does helps a lot, especially when stressed. Wonderful that you're using it for mental health reasons as well.

I went on my walk to grab a diet dr. pepper...my weakness right now. Plus, i need a reason to walk. I love to walk with people so i'm going to take the kiddos on a walk tonight when I get home from work. i'm tempted to stop my HHCG drops since I don't really think they do anything really. Most days i don't dose correctly anyway...however, it's a habit in the morning. Not sure what to do. I don't think it's hurting me, but don't want to keep buying them if I don't take them correctly or receive benefit. I think the IF is what is controlling my raging appetite and exercise will improve the way I feel. Both together will get ahold of goals and bring them on in! I am so sick and tired of being tired and lazy. Again, as I said when I came back; i want to be able to run after my 3 year old son, walk without pain, and really LIVE, not just exist.
It's nearing the end of the day and i'm trying to pump myself up not to lay down when I get home.

I did really well the last three days to take off the holiday beer/wine bloat. I woke up to a 2.8 lbs loss! I was going to be happy with a 1-2 lb loss. Now, I just have to keep it going. Calories were around 750 yesterday and I felt great. For exercise I took the kids to the pool. They wanted to that rather than walk around the neighborhood. I don't blame them; it was a scorcher yesterday. So I held the three year old and ran laps in the pool. I felt rather invigorated after the play time at the pool.

congrats on dropping the bloat so quickly!!! for your walks you should get a pedometer and set a goal for yourself and try and hit that. Maybe find out what your baseline is and then try and increase that by 500-1000.

I have been seriously considering the Nike watch a co-worker has. I will definitely start with a pedometer first. Finances considering...have to limit purchases right now due to the expensive move! Moving is soooo expensive...I cannot believe i used to move every year.
