OMG so funny, the minute you said that I cracked up. Living in Seattle for 12 years it was the same thing. The minute the sun popped out everyone was running around in shorts. You know the winters there can get pretty dreary with no sun for weeks on end but let me tell you, NO ONE knows how to play in the sun better than a Pacific Northwester They appreciate their sun! (seeing as sometimes we would wonder if we were going to ever get it back)

I went and read that womans recipe for bean cake, interestingly enough she said you could use any color beans. Hmmm. I do have dried black beans and could cook some up but I have several cans of red beans. (black beans are precious here) I am really interested in trying this out and then experimenting with it. I am very jealous of your netrition order! Really wish I could afford thier shipping! Ugh! Can I fly you over here with a suitcase of netrition goodies for me? You wont get to bring any clothes if you do but hey, I have a washing machine

Ang- I know all my ideal is now low and I am freaking out, I am going to have to order more! I wanted to say I had ordered the Carlson's amino pills and got the notice too discontinued, darn it!!!!

Well TOM and swimming does make you feel punky, so you get a pass!!! LOL And cleaning and organizing is productive, and sick boys need a nurse, so there, plenty of excuses, LOL I want to go 7 days a week now since i cant do everything like I did, but tonight is hair cut and it jsut gets too late, so might have to skip one night, but i love it, like for me I look forward to it. Man when I can work these arms look out I want ripped shoulders and arms by the wedding, I am going to push like mad this summer.

DO you watch Idol? Did you see Lauren's white and blue dress last night? I want that for my wedding dress!!! Tony likes me in blue, now I am considering like a bridesmaid dress in pale blue or something need to get to a bridal store and try stuff on I guess, maybe next month after my aunt is home I will drag her with me!

Thanks, Ladies!

I didn't see the dress, Amber-- I gave up on this season of Idol a few weeks in. Those guys stink! I don't understand the casting of this show. We all know amazing singers are out there, yet we get stuck with these yahoos year after year? Please. One of my neices is all gaga over Scotty and I have to hear all about how she is trying to marry him in my facebook feed.

I would check out David's Bridal-- lots of good looking bridesmaid stuff going on for good prices. I was pleasantly surprised when I went in there when my girlfriend was getting married.

I am not swimming this morning, I am still cleaning. It seems whatever I clean there is a Tasmanian devil behind me messing it all up just as quickly. Oh, nope, that's just me in the mirror, I'm the tasmanian devil.

Definitely look at David's Bridal. I didn't expect to find what I was looking for but I ended up getting a beautiful dress during their $99 sale. I never saw my mom pull her wallet out so fast in her life! Up til then we had agreed she would chip in toward the dress but not buy the whole thing. You should have seen her, she was like, "How much? I'm buying!" I did have to get alterations that ended up costing about $250, but overall it was a great deal and I loved that dress. It was pretty plain in front but had this awesome embroidery starting on the bottom of the front and all over the train. I have a picture of the back that I love but I can't figure out how to post a picture on here.

Angela, I gave up on Idol too. I've watched it since the first season but I can't take anymore of this group. Scotty is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Ugh!

I may need an intervention, girls. I just made another cake, this time the CHOCOLATE ORANGE variety. Same chocolate cake, I added fresh orange zest and a squeeze of the juice. (Okay, so it was actually a tangelo, but close enough for me.) It's in the oven now.

So, if you start to notice my daily reports start looking like this:

Exercise:
stirring batter
lifting fork repeatedly

B- Cake
L- Cake
S- Cake
D- Cake
D-Cake

Cake report: Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake I am the god of cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake I am the god of cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake

My positive for the day: I am the god of cake. Cake cake cakedy cake cake caaaake cake.

^^^^ if you see this start to happen, someone please drive to my house and slap me upside the head. Thank you.

THE TWELVE STEPS OF CAKAHOLICS ANONYMOUS

1. We admit we are powerless over cake—that our lives have become unmanageable.

2. Come to believe that a Low Carb Diet can restore us to sanity.

3. Make a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of Dr. Atkins as we understand DANDR.

4. Make a searching and fearless low carb inventory of cupboards.

5. Admit to LCF, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our recipes.

6. We are entirely ready to have The Hairy Heiffers help remove all the defects of cake binging.

7. Humbly ask our significent others to remove our sugar.

8. Make a list of all recipes we have harmed, and become willing to make improvements to them all.

9. Make direct amends to people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. Seriously, no maltitol.

10. Continue to take personal inventory and when we are caught in the kitchen pigging out on cake, promptly admit it.

11. Seek through contstant LCF post 'ho-ing to improve our conscious contact with Cake.

12. Have a low carb awakening as the result of these Steps, we try to carry this message to cakaholics, and to practice these principles in all our LCF affairs.

I really don't like her dress! I don't like the stripes or the midriff cutouts or that big jazzy pin in the center. However, I do believe a blue halter style pretty chiffon dress that is similar would be lovely on you. I love a good halter dress! So, I see what you are getting at-- her's is a little too lounge singer at the Ramada near the airport.

Maybe something like this?

Soft Crinkle Chiffon Halter with Draped Cascade - David's Bridal

$99! Comes in blue.

I don't envy you looking for a gown-- so many opinions! Yours is the only one that matters. Whatever you choose, you will loook so so beautiful.
