Weight today: did not weigh

Exercise, day 23 of 67:
Morning dog walk
Walk to and from school—twice!

Supplements taken

Food today:
B: scrambled eggs, bacon
L: leftover cheesy hamburger cauli slop
S: cheddar cheese, mixed nuts
D: chicken paprikash (chicken breast, onions, chicken broth, smoked paprika, cayenne, sour cream)
D: lc chocolate mousse

Pool report: BIG FAT FAIL. Husband home with a cold, grandma actually had an outpatient eye procedure done, so I spent several hours in the hospital waiting room instead. Glad I brought a book! Oh well. Try again tomorrow. I don’t think I have anything going on tomorrow, just gym and more house scrubbing. Sounds like a good day!

I’m out of cream. SO GLAD. If it’s here, I eat it, mousse style. I just can’t help it. Lately it just doesn’t make me feel good to eat it—like my belly is all woogy and bloaty after. It’s gotta be a dairy thing—milk bloated me something awful when milk was around. Anyway, my next grocery trip I WILL BE STRONG and not buy it.

My official weigh in is rapidly approaching—May 11th I will be taking another set of progress pics—my last ones were in February, and I’ll have been (mostly) in the gym for 4 weeks at that time. I sure hope I can see a difference!

My positive for the day: I am sleeping amazingly well—asleep in less than 20 minutes, and asleep the whole night through, waking up just fine. THAT’S AMAZING!

Success today. On to day 240!

Good Morning Angela! Sorry you couldn't do you swimming yesterday but you are such a sweetie taking care of your Grandma! I'm sure you will more than make up for it today.
I made that cream of yours the other day and it was SO good. I put half of it i the freezer and ate it later as ice cream (sorta) I can see how you could become addicted to that! I dont think it affects my belly but right now I am still such a mess physically I cant tell what helps and what hurts. I still wake up every morning with a strange tight pain in my stomach/abdomen area. I have NOT taken my stomach pills since I started this WOE and hope I can keep off them. I don't have the raging burning stomach anymore at least and that's a start!

I am crossing my fingers and hoping for a great weigh in for you. I really dont know how you manage to avoid the scales. I can't do it!

Hey hunny bunny!
No I have to hold the food 2 inches in front of my belly button and shoot the laser through it for 2 minutes. Wonder if it'll make a difference that I have a fake belly button from a major tummy tuck almost 3 years ago. The belly button is weird looking, but I have an anchor scar and other people that have gotten the fleur de lis procedure have the same largish looking button...
God, I love my new belly, scars, funky button and all. Hated that part of my body for 30 years. Oops I'm off topic!

Desperate times take desperate laser measures I guess...

Grammie from the other hcg site, said she left a glass of water out for 24 hours, did the laser on the allergens that collected in the glass, and poof, allergic reactions vanished.
It'll be worth the 8 bucks for the laser to find out...

Ang- The cupcakes will be weddingish with the candy agates on them for unity but you know me I am all about variety!!!!!! I did find a bakery in Las Vegas that makes Sugar Free cakes, but hey its my wedding I want some real sugar!!!!

Izzy- must see the belly and button, I agree that having looked at Plastic surgery pics for over a month now, the belly button is a huge factor. MY doc seems to make nice ones, I saw 2 ladies 2 and 3 weeks post op, that was the first thing I checked out. The tummy tuck scares me was it bad? Did it remove a lot of the stretch marks? I am covered with stretchmarks and I swear since I lost weight they look worse, they are white but not the skin is like loose and deflated, ughghggh I so want to get goal so I can have that done, I am thinking the boobs are a mess, but the thought of removing your whole nipple area is rather gruesome to me. MY doc does the fleur de lis incision for the tummy tucks.

I am going home tonight to a chilled black bean cake, I got out all the stuff and my GF is making it today, how cool is that? Frankly I hope her car is never fixed, its like being married to a woman who does everything, my wash is done, the house is neat she goes grocery shopping, I want a wife!!!!!

Yes, they are posted, makemeheal saved my life for support after the tummy tuck. No one that hasn't gone through it doesn't understand the pain. I couldn't stand upright for a month my belly was so tight...talk about back pain to boot!

Oh! Amber-- one more thing we noticed about the cake-- it was MUCH BETTER at room temperature. I stuck it in the fridge because--duh, always do-- but it wasn't as good as just plain room temp. Is she making frosting, too? I tried to follow Lauren's frosting recipe, but it didn't work so well for me... I'd go with a different one.

Ang- I told her to skip the frosting and we will dust it with the Ideal confectioners stuff, I prefer no frosting to bad frosting, LOL OK will take out of fridge before eating, I am so anxious to try this, I cant wait.

Izzy what was your name on MMH? DO you have a password on there? Or if you dont want to post youc an go to it and send me a pM with the link, I have an account so I should be able to see it, MMH is what saved me thru this arm surgery that is where I met the nice lady in England who had her arms done before me, we still write everyday!

LOL, Kitty! They won't let me link to it, but you can google Healthy Indulgences Chocolate Cake With A Secret and it will pop right up for you. It's a good cake recipe, but I didn't get along well with the frosting recipe. Such an easy cake to make-- it was the most unfussy thing I've made in a long time.

Amber, I KNOW, RIGHT?? That cake is excellent. I feel like I'm on Candid Camera or something, and someone really switched the cakes out on me, and here I am raving like a lunatic about beans. Thank you, Janet!!

Majella, I am a former insomniac. Sleep is precious to me, and for me to be able to lie down, close my eyes and just fall asleep is a freaking miracle! I love low carb for that alone! So valuable!

Amber, did we seriosuly have the same idea for the sugar agates? Great minds think alike! I think that would be really cool.

Thanks, Kitty, Diane and Laura-- I love her lots and lots, she's a very dear lady. She is actually my Hanai Grandma-- Hanai is a Hawaiian term that kind of means "adopted." It's when you take someone as your own family regardless of blood relation. She has been a family friend since I was a teen, and she is SOOOOOOO my grandma, 100%. Her sister, too-- she was the one who passed away last fall. These are special ladies and I only have the one left! When she needs something, I just drop everything and do it. Their life story is quite amazing (WWII heroes, survivors and immigrants.) My actual Grandma is down in Napa-- I don't see her too often, but we call and send pictures and postcards a lot. She's also a pretty cool lady! I'm blessed with old folk.

Oh yeah, it's totally addictive. I haven't had it frozen, it never makes it that far, but sounds good! Have you tried it with a little Peanut butter in it? yuuuuum!

I don't know how I stay off the scale, either. I think because I've monitored it so obsessively in the past and it didn't get me anywhere. I was just kind of tired of it and didn't care anymore! I still have to do what I have to do, keep chugging along low carb, and sometimes the scale makes it difficult for me. Ignorance is bliss on most scale days!

Weight today: did not weigh

Exercise, day 24 of 67:
Morning dog walk

Supplements taken

Food today:
B: scrambled eggs, bacon
L: leftover chicken paprikash
S: cheddar cheese, apple, mixed gorp, baby carrots, pork rinds
D: Burgerville: Colossal burger sans bun, side salad w/ added bacon, avocado, tomato, homemade cheeseburger dressing

Gym report: ANOTHER BIG FAT FAIL. I decided to just clean my house instead, it was starting to bother me that I canít get it finished. I feel like Iím cleaning and cleaning and cleaning and nothing is clean. Re-organizing makes a big slow mess, thatís for sure. TOM also started this morning, and itís always ugly the first few days and I felt gross. So there. Iím not swimming tomorrow, either. Executive decision! I wonder if Iím burned out, but I donít feel burned outóIím okay going the 5 days a week, Iím just having a weird week is all. I like the pool and the gym. Grandma just needs extra attention, both my guys are full of snot, and my house seems to be a junk mail receptacle. Iíll get it together again soon.

I ate everything in sight today. Seriously, I even ate an entire apple. (It was delicious, by the way.) I had a very high carb dayówell, for me anyway, not an ACTUAL high carb day. Maybe pushing over 50, probably even 70. I could not stop eating the mixed nuts and dried cranberry thing I bought for my husbandís lunches. Thatís terrible! I donít want to think about it. Iíll blame TOM. I can do that, right? I donít pull the TOM card too often, but dammit, consider it PULLED!

I made a Netrition order todayóanother box of chocoperfection, and two bags of each kind of Ideal Sweetener. I can get Steviva and all the flours locally. I am completely out of Ideal! I bought this last batch last November, I think, it lasted me quite a while. Now that I know how to make a damn fine cake, I want to keep making damn fine cakes!

It is a gorgeous glorious blue spring day in Oregon today. Everyone is walking around practically naked. One smidge of sun and Oregonians throw off all their clothes, even though it is still in the 60ís. Funny!

My positive for the day: mmmmm apple. Crispy juicy tart sweet Organic Roma. Perfect texture. Perfect flavor.

Success today. On to day 241!
