Exercise, day 7 of 67:
afternoon dog walk (extra long: gorgeous spring day in Oregon!)

Supplements taken (same line up as yesterday, will these things never run out? C’monalready!)

Food today:
B: leftover hamburger cauliflower w/ cheese sauce & crispy onions
L: slice of sharp cheddar, daikon
S: slice of sharp cheddar
D: bbq London broil slices, blue cheese crumbles, asparagus w/ mayo

Yeah, weird breakfast, I know. It was a late one, 11 am, so maybe it was an early lunch instead. Filling and tasty, though! My “lunch” was more like a snack, but it was fine and aaaaalmossst held me until dinner…. I needed a bit more cheese to get me there. I really don’t do well unless I have a full breakfast and a full giant lunch, but sometimes it just can’t be helped. I wonder why I have such an aversion to being hungry? Never in my life have I not had food available, so there is no psychological factor. It could just be my fat—you know, the parasitic organism I live with—that makes me do it. Or, I could just chalk it up to being a spoiled brat who does not want a moment of discomfort, ever.

My positive for the day: Dang, my boobs are swimming in my bra cups! Very very soon I’ll have to break down and buy a few new bras.

Success today. On to day 225!

Laura! No natural disaster is going to keep you down! I'll be walking my son to school, walking the dog, and going to the gym this morning. I feel pretty good about it. I am careful to stretch stretch and stretch some more, especially my calves and feet-- I don't EVER want plantar faciitis again! I am having an epic battle with my dog, though-- I keep a nice hard tennis ball next to my bed so I can roll my feet on it before I get up (warm up those tendons before I put any pressure on them) but my ball keeps disappearing! My dog thinks it's his and always repos it back to his toy basket.

That's fantastic, Janet! You've been following my journal for a while-- YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS FOR ME!!! Of course I understand. You can do it! Just start very slowly and keep going. I'm only on my second week here, still the "danger zone" of crapping out. I am so glad that you and laura and martini are doing something with me! It helps keep me motivated! Thank you!!

Don't worry about it, Diane! Keeping your hip on the healing path is more important. Why don't you do some of those chair exercises Tiggy recommended? Or just do some therapudic stretches? I hope you have a wonderful day full of gorgeous French food and sexy husband snuggles.

You are doing super!! how did your PF go away? I got pregnant and by month 6 it like disappeared and never came back, thank god!!! I suffered with that for probably 12 years cortisone shots, Celebrex which I think they pulled form the market, what a pain that was.

Steak looks gorgeous, your food pics are always extra divine looking!!!

You go girl, lets here it for sagging lifeless boobies, dont trip today!!!!

Okay, I'm back. I was nekkidy a long time trying to figure this damn thing out, LOL! I bought a Taylor Glass Bodyfat Scale that measures weight, bodyfat, body muscle, body water and bone mass. (It was on sale at a local store, so I just did it, depite being wary of another glass scale and the brand-- oh well!)

So, I'm pleased to say that the weight measurement itself was completely consistent no matter where I moved it, as long as the floor was level. I got the same weight, 253.4 over and over about 6 times-- not too shabby considering it's the middle of the day and I'm full of water and coffee and food. I was probably in the 240's this morning and didn't even know it!! I also tested it by holding my 2 5lb dumbells, and yep, weighed me at 263.4 over and over again. Finally I can have a bit of trust on the scale!

Just to contrast, that stupid weight watchers scale said I was 257.8, 256.3, 258.1 and 255.8--- all in the same spot. Jerk!

As for all the other readings, I don't know what to think yet:

Body Fat: 53.6%
Body Water: 34.9
Body Muscle: 33.9
Bone Mass: 3.0

I don't put a lot of faith in the readings because, well, it's a stupid bathroom scale. But gee, it sure is nice to know I'm walking around in a blob that is more than half fat! YAHOO! I also drank two big glasses of water to see if any of the numbers changed-- and nope-- just the weight did-- not any of the other ones. So, we'll see what happens with it over time. I'm just happy it weighed consistently!

Aw, Diane-- if I lived where you do and was cougarliciously married to your honey-- ZOWIE! How could every day not be fabulous? Make it happen, sister!

Amber, I cured my PF with BIRKENSTOCKS. Seriosuly, I wore them for a year, and my feet were able to heal. I did not have the cute minor PF, mine was hobbling and debilitating! It was awful and I suffered for 7 years with no relief. Damn retail job and cheap shoes! I am finally at the point I'm confident to wear shoes other than Birks-- now I wear Keens mostly, and my new sweet gym shoes are K-Swiss. However, ALL my shoes are comfort shoes. I refuse to wear girly Amber-style shoes anymore, I just can't do it., my feet would disown me. Luckily comfort shoes are pretty cute nowadays, especially the Keens!

Also, I live in Oregon. No one gives a flying fig what shoes you wear!

Ang- Glad you got a new scale there is no way you are 53% body fat does it let you input height and stuff? I think they are programmed that way to make you think you are fatter, LOL Well now you have an accurate scale, that is good, I swear mine is broken, LOL Ok maybe the user is, I hit a new low and then everything goes out the window!!!!!

I so want to work out with you!!!!!

Yeah, I don't know about being 53% fat. Maybe I am? LOL. Yes, you can input height and age. My old Tanita said I was 48% last September, and now tells me I'm 46%- and this one says I'm 53%. Heck, if I had it on the "male" setting, my fat percentage is significantly lower-- SAME FREAKING BODY WEIGHING! I think the only way to be sure is to have it done for real somewhere-- the doctor's office? The gym? I dunno. Does it really matter at this point? Yeah, I'm fat. I've got gobs of it. It is slowly shrinking, but whatever. I just have to keep doing what I'm doing and HOPE LIKE CRAZY it works.

Crap. Now I need a hug. DAMN SCALES!

Really the only accurate measure of body fat is the water dunk, so I dont even think about those numbers, now the water is important but how does it really know? LOL

Here's lunch today, salad w/ leftover london broil, green leaf, avocado, daikon, cucumber, green onion, blue cheese, crispy onions-- I doused the homemade balsamic and olive oil dressing on after the photo was taken. Delicious!
