Laura! Isn't that one more minute than yesterday? Fantastic! Have you tried reading while you're doing it? Makes the time zip by.

Diane, I just can't do shakes. Not that they aren't delicious and healthful-- but they just don't do it for me. I'm starving after just an hour or so! I get crazy if I'm hungry and I'll just eat and eat and eat some more to make up for the liquid meal. I hope they work for you! Some people are fine slamming down a shake, but I nead BACON! and EGGS!

Exercise, day 5 of 67:
morning dog walk
20 minutes elliptical
40 minutes weight room

Supplements taken (same line up as yesterday)

Food today:
B: scrambled eggs and bacon
L: salad w/ romaine, salmon, avocado, daikon, cucumber, green onion, blue cheese, crispy onions, bacon, homemade creamy garlic dressing
D: ground hamburger w/ onions, cauliflower & cheese sauce, crispy onions

Gym Report: Yep, I went. I went for the WHOLE WEEK, just as I said I would. Ordinarily I would be shouting “I’m a rock star!!” from my front door, but it’s just too soon. Anyone can do this for one week. I need to do it for 67 days! I am pleased to say that the elliptical went much faster today—same 20 minutes, but I was reading a dopey Good Housekeeping mag while I did it. (My favorite article was the one they told me I could have a piece of chocolate cake when I’m stressed out, just be careful not to eat the whole cake! Gee, thanks, a-holes.) I actually managed to break a sweat today! I thought those sweat pores were broken. Anyway, I wore my new clothes and I felt pretty swanky—well, until I caught a flash of a pinheaded potato with legs in the mirror—crap! That was me! I spend the rest of the time just not looking in the mirrors. It would have just brought me down, and I’d dwell on what I just can’t help at this moment in time. Curses to the vain knuckleheads who thought it would be great to fill the workout rooms with mirrors! <shakes fist>

My positive for the day: slept good, woke up feeling good, ate good, I AM GOOD!

Success today. On to day 223!

Congrats on making it the entire week! it's a start and even the longest journeys start with one step right? I overdid the exercise yesterday so I'm taking a break this weekend but I will be back with you Monday!

Ang- I am very proud of you, making it that first week is the toughest, you could have easily said F it, but you did it, you are increasing your stamina, you are a rock star, own it!!!!!! Yummy food,man that steak looks delicious!!!!!! I know what is up with all the mirrors? LOL I hate catching a glimpse of my fat sweaty self, LOL Very disturbing and then there are those girls that purposely watch their perfect asses working out, and make such a spectacle, I would never be like that, LOL OK If I had their bods I would be working out in a thong, LOL

Yay congrats on a whole week girl!!!! You diet food looks positively revolting. How can anyone manage to endure eating that way???!!!! Gorgeous food!!!!

I had to chuckle about the pinhead comment and the mirrors! I mean. Really? Do they think that fitness places are only filled with vain endorphin filled pseudopods? Don't they know they alienate all us normal schmoes? I too am a pinhead (with a big fat hump on my back and a fat neck as evidenced in my scans yesterday...)!

And I'm betting you look seriously glamorous and lovely and not pin-headish at all!!!

Thanks, Ladies!

Diane, I'm taking the weekend off as well, as was my plan-- just monday through friday. I'm still trying to be active, like dog walking, house cleaning, playing with my son and husband-- they like to shoot hoops and ride bikes and such, I'm working my way up to joining them regularly. I am not as achy as I thought I would be right now-- previous experience has me stabbed with pain with every move after starting back at a gym, but I feel alright! I think my super easy no pushing plan has worked. We'll see what happens next week!

Amber, lol working out in a thong! I am lucky that there are no hardbodies at my "gym." It's a rec center, so it's mostly regular people like me-- fat and old-- so really it's not so hard on the sliver of vanity I have left.

You, too, Laura! It's takes a lot of gumption to get your ass on a treadmill regularly, I know. Keep it up! Pretty soon you'll work those minutes up to 20 minutes! 30 minutes!

Thanks, Pooti, I am not a glamourpuss at the gym... Hair is twisted up with a clip and messy, no makeup, no smile. At least my clothes are appropriate! Just matching enough to match, and not matchy matchy like a poser! In a month they will probaly be coffee stained and dingy like the rest of my cothes, but by then I'll have a hardbody and wear a thong like Amber. One month will do it, right? To have a glorious hardbody?

D: chicken enchilada slop w/ olives, chiles, sour cream & cheddar

Spent the day cleaning my mom’s house… that counts as exercise, right? My mom is doing fine, by the way, she made her therapy appointment and is actually READING the mood cure. She says she’s been feeling better since taking the Carlson’s I gave her, and her pleasant attitude does reflect that. Being around her lately hasn’t made me want to tear off my arm and club myself with it. Now her house is all clean, and my sister and I will be alternating fridays to sweep through and do all the stuff mom can’t— sweep, mop, vacuum, toilets, etc. And, may I take a moment to praise my amazing sister? She is just a superwoman who handles massive amounts of stress and ****** drama with aplomb. What a terrific person she is! I am so lucky to have such a fine little sister. Anyway, accidently had Jimmy John’s for lunch again today, mom went and got it for us while we cleaned. Perfectly delish, but what they think is “avocado” for an extra 85 cents is not what I think is “avocado” for an extra 85 cents. It was a thin little wipe of guacamole. WTH??? I didn’t even notice it in the wrap, and had to actually unwrap it and peel apart layers to find a trace of it. LAME! I’ll keep my 85 cents next time, thankyouverymuch.

My positive for the day: BLAZERS IN THE PLAYOFFS!! BOOOOOMSHAKALAKA!

Success today. On to day 224!

Ang- that is great about your Mom, and your sister, my sister is completely self absorbed and non helpful on all issues, LOL Cleaning does count as exercise!! And cleaning your Mothers house is double exercise!!! LOL You are a good daughter you will be rewarded ten fold for all you do which is why you are wonder woman and so darn lovable!

SO glad to hear your mom's mood is improving and it;s not such a trial to be with her. I hope this is a sign of continued improvement. Glad to hear you have someone to help support you in this endeavor. It is so much easier when you have someone else to lean on and share the difficulties. Yay for lil sis

I managed to exercise every other day. Then The Poo fairy heard an ugly rumor about me saying she wasn't $^#t and she unleashed a 48 hour hold out, followed by a 12 hour Poo-athon. With her waving her magic wand around me screaming Who's your Daddy!!! I DIDN'T EVEN SAY IT!!!

Neeedless to say If my memory serves me right, I broke outta a decade!!! I think it was *09.2 then I had a phelgm situation got back on the sale (LOL OR COURSE ) *08.8~~~~ So today between the hot teas and potions I crawled on the scale and sure enough *08.6. I am officially no longer consuming food. LMAOOOOOO YeA Right!!!! I sure would love a big ole bowl of that chickie enchilada soupppppppp!!!! It has the perfect amount of sour cream!!!! She sure knows what I like!!!

If I broke a decade surely my Glammy is gonna be in the 230's when she steps on the scale!!! When are u gonna? Do we have to wait 67 days??? AT LEAST MEASURE!!! THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!!!

Okay, I'm posting a screen cap of my exercise check-ins. I know that you all believe me, but I just want to do it anyway... maybe out of pride, or out of FEAR!! I am so afraid that I am going to do all this work, the exercise, the meal limiting, and it won't do a damn bit of good. I have been stuck here for so long I'm afraid I'm going to be stuck here no matter what the hell I do. I was suppose to drop weight like crazy just eating low carb-- well, we all see that didn't happen, despite ABSOLUTELY eating only low carb foods all this time. Golly! What if I do all this hard work and I get the same results as doing no work at all???? AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

Also, I absolutely DID hit the noon lap swim on 4/12-- I don't know why it's not showing. Maybe my card didn't swipe properly and they didn't care and waved me through anyway-- they kind of know me there since my son has been at lessons year round since he was 3. It's a small facility! I was even "customer of the month" in August 2009, with my pic in the lobby and everything. Hilarious but true!

Put up you in a wonder woman costume, dude I was looking at the real costumes, the size 14-16 the waist is 27 inches, now I think that is Bobby's waist size? WTH I will never pork into one of those, and the plus size ones are not authentic! My wonder woman strip roaming in Vegas is getting to be a bust!
