I know exactly what you mean about the burning out thing. I can't even tell you how many times I have joined a gym and went crazy for a month or so...then start making excuses why I couldnt go that day, and the next, till I wasn't going at all any more. The thing is I LOVE to lift weights. Always have so dont understand why I have such a hard time being consistent. I used to hate gym class except when we had the classes for weightlifting and balance and parallel bars. I was a happy camper when those came around.
You have proven to me that even when it's hard and you aren't getting the rewards you want you can still keep going. I am determined to follow your example and I think we both can follow it into the exercise realm too. I have the 10 in 10 episode too. I have only been able to make it 20 minutes in so I dont know what I will think about the whole routine but I used to have the book (WAY back when) and I LOVED it. I felt it really did tone my body and did it quickly without any risk to my back. I think this one might be fairly safe for my hip too. I plan on switching between different things each day to keep it interesting. I love my old Sweating to the Oldies. It silly, Richard Simmons cracks me up and that's not such a bad thing. When I see all those large people dancing away it makes me think that surely I should be able to do this too, right? |

Ang- just make it a routine and you will not burn out, I put the gym on my calendar so I know I have to do it just like anything else it does get to the point where you enjoy it, it took me about a month to get to really liking it! You are doing fabulous!!
And all you girls getting moving, Diane- maybe a ball to do core exercises would be good for you, or some arm weights, strengthening your core will help your hip! That would be low impact but having strong abs and back muscles will help support your hip and you could do it at home? Just a thought! I am a fat blob!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 233 this morning, my carb binge didnt move the scale in the right direction cause here i sit, ughghggh

Ambs. Off the ledge honey. You know that's water and it will disappear in 4 days.
![]() Frenchie, dang I know. Not exercising is the pits. But hurtin cuz of exercising is even worse. I get such terrible pain after exercise or strenuous work, that I just don't do it anymore. ![]() Ang way to go woman. YOu are doin great!!!! Pacing yourself is schmart hon!!! But you know, you had me at shavin' the legs. That alone is considered exercise here at the spa known as Chez Denny Day Spa and Old Farts Home. That's a big day. We circle leg shavin days in red here! Juan and Denny both love the manicured ladies.

Tiggy- wash the bumps with your proactive cleanser put on the toner and dust with baby powder that clears up the bumps!!! And bumps are better than fur, LOL I have a little make up brush I use to brush the powder on after the Brazillian Waxes and I wash with a glycolic cleanser I never get bumps like I did when shaving, the girl that waxes told me the baby powder trick, just keep it on the skin, not the hooch! LOL

I love my muff! I love my muff just as it is, and so I buy bathing suits that don't subject my muff tufts to anyone else-- SKORTS RULE!
I used to wear girly board shorts with a bikini top, as all the Hawaiian chicks do, but the fatter I got the more I migrated to the skort and tankini top. Land's End is a muff tuft loving girl's best friend! |

... and speaking of bathing suits-- I really need a new one! My tankini top was blousing so badly in the water today that it floated up over my boobs. Yikes! I have already altered this sucker smaller in the midriff, so it is time for a new one. This top was tight and stretched to the limits 6 months ago. Yippee!

heh heh heh muff tuft. SHHHHHHHH!
I swung through JCPenney again today, they had fat girl workout clothes on sale 50% off. I've been to the gym twice this week, so for sure I'm 6 sizes smaller, right? Nope, still a 2X... could have done the 1X but I don't like the tight stuff: don't like the butt cling or the camel toe or the accentuated back fat rolls, no thanks. So, I just bought 2Xs-- a few pants and a few shirts so I won't look like such a chump at the gym. |

ROFL, almost spit my coffee at the screen reading this thread!! Its amazing how we get into some topics and come up with awesome names for it.
I've been going mostl Angela style since well.. I live out here and there is no one to worry about. If I shave frequently the skin tends to not be as sensitive. Also, I think it was the lace in my fave thong undies that was irritating it a bit. Did what you said (minus powder since I have none) and it seems a lot better today amber. I am like the least hairy person ever when it comes to body hair. You'd need CSI equipment to see that landing patch. I think all my body hair decided to grow on my head instead since I have enough hair there for 3+ people according to hairdressers. Gotta LOVE sales!! I am with ya on the back fat rolls thing. I HATE THEM SO MUCH!!! Its funny though, they are probably one of the first things that visibly dissapear when I lose weight. Praise the gods for that! (and shapewear body suits are my friend).

Muff tuft and pelts. OMG the horror, LOL!!!!!!
I had to cancel my Brazilian for tomorrow I don't have the arm strength to heave my sagging stomach out of the way while she rips, LOL Ang- new workout duds are cool, makes you feel special going to the gym! Back fat is the worst and bra fat bulging up over a too tight bra, its like ladies buy a bigger bra, that back fat bra from Lane Bryant is pretty good, but they are expensive and lose their umph after a few washings! Back fat sucks! |

^^^ what she said. Martini is as smart as she is gorgeous! Well, I assume she's gorgeous. Does she sound gorgeous, Amber? At least we know she's real, and not some delightful figment of our carb deprived brains. I picture her as some gorgeous sassy Ashley Stewart model dressed to the nines with ****** heels and a matching purse. Now she has perfect hair, too!

Weight today: did not weigh
Exercise, day 4 of 67: morning dog walk 55 minutes lap swim Supplements taken (same line up as yesterday) Food today: B: scrambled eggs and bacon L: leftovers: mahi mahi, shrimp, artichoke w/ mayo S: bacon, daikon, babybel cheese, avocado D: Jimmy John’s Italian Unwich—with the works, extra cheese & meat Pool Report: Yep, I went. I was in the pool at 9:30 and out at 10:25. It was an open swim, not a lap swim, and I actually preferred it. I shared the deep end with a few elderly folk who were doing just what I was—casually wandering back and forth across the width of the pool. I was nonstop nearly the whole 55 minutes, pausing only to stretch every so often. Not a vigorous swimmer, but I’m pleased to say I was indeed faster than the octogenarians today. I had to have a snack today—leftovers were meager from last night, they were more snack sized—BOO! And I had to eat them fast before I had to help my grandma run some errands. I had a snack at 3, and I was still Snacky mcSnackerson, but I wasn’t actually hungry. I was able to stop myself, take an amino pill, make some coffee, and chill the hell out. WIN! Tomorrow I need to be more careful to have a nice big fat lunch that will hold me until dinner. Dinner was fast food after my son’s basketball class—a new Jimmy Johns opened up on the corner down the road from our house. The Unwich was tasty—I ordered it with double meat and cheese and all the freebies including the peppers. Yum! My positive for the day: squee! New clothes! Sure they are workout clothes, but they were desperately needed. I had one outfit that was appropriate, and I just couldn’t wear it for a 3rd time tomorrow! Success today. On to day 222! |

Good Morning Angela! Today I tried out the new shake mix and it wasn't bad, next time I will definitely use ice and not just cold water. Let's see if just a shake at breakfast makes me a snack hound or not...

Ang- almost an hour of swimming is terrific, better to go slow and long like that, you are going to drop a ton of weight in a month just wait and see!! I am so PROUD of you, you are almost through a whole week of your plan and look how great you are doing!!!!!
Frenchie- I find too a little splash of HWC makes the shakes taste much richer as well as ice! |
