Pooti! The power of the apple bar got you, huh? Lucky they weren't the REAL ones, those things are like crack. You'd have to check yourself into rehab. See how big my ass is? Yep: apple pie bars. Thanks for the flour mix info! How is that carbalose flour? Can it just replace flour? How did your crust turn out? Good taste and mouthfeel?
Martini, the bacon/maple combination is sacred in this house. Downtown Portland has a very famous doughnut shop called Voodoo Doughnuts, and they have a bacon maple bar that is to die for. I would sniff in there so hard the doughnuts would lodge right in my belleh. Look at their menu, you'll get a good laugh! Also, I make the most fantastic bacon pancakes-- all that bacony goodness right in the pancake and smothered with real maple syrup. Once again, see how big my ass is? Yep: bacon pancakes. Weight today: did not weigh
Exercise: AM dog walk 1 hour of 10 Callanetics 10-in-10 dvd PM dog walk Food today: Breakfast: 2 egg omelet w/ bacon, spinach & cheddar; Greek yogurt w/ fresh blueberries Lunch: weird German pepper loaf thingy, provolone, Dijon mustard, leftover sauerkraut, daikon radish, sweet peppers Snack: none Dinner: The Pioneer Woman’s Sandwich (sans bun & w/ mozzarella) Dessert: chocolate cream Supplements taken So I pulled out my old Callanetics DVD this morning. I’ve been feeling all wound up and tense and she always made me feel better. I love her soft soothing voice and how it’s the perfect workout for someone who is lazy and slow and needs to stretch a lot. It’s a very deceptive workout—the hour zips by quickly and you feel nice with all the stretching and melting and relaxing. I couldn’t do it all—I have not been stretching for a long time and I really needed it. I did what I could, and hopefully over the next few times doing it I’ll be able to keep up better. I love how cute they are in their 80’s leotards, pantyhose and perky natural boobs! I have never been an avid exerciser. My bouts in the gym or the pool have never lasted that long---I was probably taking the wrong approach to it all, much like this whole low carb thing. (You know, the whole GUNG HO all or nothing crazy go go go then Kablooie! Blown off the wagon thing.) Now that I feel like the food thing is natural for me (meaning I’m not pining for or scheming to get carbs, sheesh, it only took 148 days!) I’m going to try doing the same thing with activities. Just do an hour each weekday of whatever I want—gym, dvd, Kinect, walking, swimming, whatever. No schedule, no pressure, it just has to be SOMEthing. I can do that now. I feel good after doing the Callanetics, I really needed the stretch! I want to reiterate how much I am LOVING the daikon radish! It’s so easy to pull the radish log out of the fridge and slice off a handful of discs. Some of these things are enormous, I could probably make a sandwich with a coupla slices! I try to find a nice medium sized one. I’ve just been eating them plain (radish loving person, remember) but how amazing would they be with some rich cheesy dip? YEAH! My dinner tonight was FANFREAKINGTASTIC!! The Pioneer Woman Cooks | Ree Drummond oooooosoooooooogoooooood! I highly reccomend making this immediately! I didn't have any sherry, so I subbed red wine, and I only had the mild green tabasco sauce (don't laugh, Texan Pooti!) so so so so delicious. I'm bummed I didn't make enough-- only enough leftovers for my husband to take in his lunch tomorrow! I just piled it on a plate, smothered it with shredded mozzarella and melted it under the broiler for a few minutes. O.M.G.My positive for the day: Callan! I dids me some organized exercise! Success today. On to day 148! |

OMG maple syrup (the B or C grade stuff) and bacon - god I LOVED that combo when i lived in canada. BTW the lower grade syrups are a TON better imo - way more richer darker flavour. WISHHHHHHHHHHHHH I would get that SF one - although I would drink it, standing in front the fridge pooty/martini style.
I heard a lot about that callenetics stuff. Hmm might look into it further. If I do it do I get naturally perky boobs as well? hehe Reading about bacon and your awesome sammich is making me rather aware I haven't eaten yet and it's 1:30pm. Off to heat some cow.

I've always liked the lower grades better, too! I always felt bad about it-- until now! Tiggy says it's okay!
![]() DO NOT get the Walden Farms brand. ![]() ![]() it's garbage. It's just brown wet splenda. ew! That new website I found has a maple kind syrup sweetened with other stuff-- I wonder if it's good? I like the Callanetics-- it's very very old-- they have some new ones out, but so far I like the little old original best. There is a long running thread on the exercise board to check out-- very inspiring! She doesn't promise perky tits, but she does promise your ass will be a high tight peach! I want to have a tight peach! |

Yup AND I am canadian AND I have eaten it on snow and been to many many sugar shacks. Trust me on the maple syrup!
Hmm a tight peach hey. I actually like my arse. I am sure the spongebob squareass is inevitable at some stage, but despite the celulite/fat dimple combo I like my shape. Will go have a read of that thread. Old stuff can be awesome. You know what I would LOVE to find? My old sweating to the oldies series with richard simmons. I love that little gremlin. He cracks me up and it was the one workout tape I didn't HATE with a passion when i was younger. I think I like working out looking at people bigger than me DOING it, then I can't wimp out with the 'its tooo hard" whine. |

Now my but is a droopy sponge bb squarebutt. Maybe it will come back. OH PLEASSSSEEEE!!!

I like the WF Blueberry Syrup and the Asian Dressing and the Bacon Dressing. Now...on the dressings, I only like it as a DD alternative cuz it has no calories so I spice it up with garlic powder and vinegar. But otherwise yeah, I wouldn't eat it and it serious chemicals. But the WF BBSauce is only good as a base to springboard other sauce components off of. LOL.
Big Hair and unitards. Isn't that a song by Duran Duran or maybe the Cure? Mrs Butterworth's mmmmmmmmm. I have the arse Spongebob threw away last year.

Not only do I remember the 20 minute workout, my mom made me do it with her when I was like 12 or something. UG! I think my grandpa used to watch it and perv on them. It scares me when I see the fashions for the past few years here and know the 80's is back. SCARY STUFF!!

Exercise: AM dog walk PM dog walk Food today: Breakfast: 2 egg omelet w/ bacon, spinach & cheddar; Greek yogurt w/ fresh blueberries Lunch: weird German pepper loaf thingy, Dijon mustard, sweet peppers, daikon radish Snack: salami, daikon radish Dinner: big ol’ taco salad- seasoned ground beef, lettuce, cilantro, tomato, sour cream, green onions, avocado, salsa Dessert: chocolate cream Supplements taken Okay, so maybe I DON’T want to be a tight peach--- I feel like I got hit by a truck! Every single muscle is killing me. Darn it Callanetics! You are so deceptive! You were so easy yesterday, why do you hurt me so? I only did my dog walks today—so achy! So, I am interested in this glamorous phenomenon that is called “frying cheese.” It sounds divine—anyone familiar with it? Crispy golden cheesy crusty goodness outside and smooth melted cheesy love inside? MUST. HAVE. LOL, my son is a pork rind junkie. He asked if he could have them in his lunch box tomorrow. When he was a toddler that was my snack during zoo treks—he loved them. I got such dirty looks from the other mothers while he was happily munching a giant pork rind and their kids had some crappy heart healthy whole grain low fat cheerios. It still makes me laugh thinking about it. I’m sure a few of them wanted to call social services on me. ![]() My positive for the day: taking both walks despite being achy all over. Success today. martini!! You're a superstar!! Great work darls!
rofl angela. You want a tight peach, admit it! Funny how those easy exercies can kick you in the tooshie so hard. At least the dog is enjoying it - 2 walks! Lucky puppy! I agree - that fried cheese stuff sounds brilliant. I want! Go have some for me pretty please. Pork rinds rock. To heck with those silly brainwashed mothers - you knew what is best for your boy. Reminds me of when we take O, renatas daughter into civilisation. She has grown up out bush (almost 2 now), and is used to playing with rocks, sticks, and generally not acting girly despite her pink clothes. All the mothers look at us a bit strange with this usually rather dirty child running around in the bushes instead of playing on the grass since she has no idea what a lawn is for. |

Amber, my worst fear about this blizzard was the possibility of losing power. It flickered last night and I saw my hopes of a flannel clad, highly relaxed goof off snow day about going out the window. Thank goodness it came back on! Glad yours came back on pretty quick, especially if your temps are going to drop like ours are supposed to! When power goes out widely in our area, we are without power for a LOOONNNNGGG time. (wrong side of town I guess) One time we were without power for 10 days.

Angela, I was so impressed and inspired by the beginning of your journal!!! I dont have time to read all of it but I love how you list your menus and your weight everyday. I thought it was very interesting to see those freaky weight fluctuations day to day!!!! Thats why I think its not good to weigh everyday if you take each lb as being a real weight gain instead of normal body changes. I was also impressed by you eating fruit!!!!! Gosh those berries and cream made my mouth water!!!!!!! Yummy!!!!!!! You are doing a great job! Keep up the good work!!!! You sure dont look big in your picture!!!!! Take care sweetie!!!!!!!

THANKS LADIES!!! You are the wind beneathe my bat wings as Reva would say!!!
Glam's menus are fabulous!!! One day I will eat cleaner. She is so good. My Julian bread should be here tomorrow. I hope I don't over do it. How often and how many slices would u say u eat glam. Ugh I told my admin my bread was coming and she wants to try a piece...I feel like Elaine on Seinfeld. I don't have a square to spare....LOL But she gave me cheeselast week and peanuts today. So I have to play nice. ![]() So I'm down one today. *11.2. I need to make sure I go back to breakfast because I almost starved today...LOL Kmart has a huge barrel of BBQ pork rinds!!! I couldn't be happier. I had one SF turtle and actually just remembered I bought them. I leave them in the car for portion control. I stopped by KFC and almost got fried and switched it to grilled. I rememnber that I get lax when I'm losing. Just gonna try to stay in the Land of Virgins. Where I belong...LOL!!! ![]() WB DOGGGYYYYY!!! Oh and my sister is doing WW so that should motivate me to keeo chugging. She doesn't have as much to lose as I do. |

lol Martini! Hopefully your friend is "Bread-worthy." Maybe you should hold a few interviews to be sure? I'm out of the bread so currently I'm not eating any. When I did have it around, it was usually two loaves sitting in the freezer and it took about 1.5 months to go through. I didn't place any restrictions on it-- I ate as much as I wanted whenever I liked. It was the only way to controll the butthead sabotuer in me. Turns out, I'd have one slice for breakfast every other day of so-- some days a slice for snack, or two slices smothered in butter/cinnamon/steviva for dessert, or two slices for french toast when my guys were having pancakes. There was no rhyme or reason to it. It did last me a surprisingly long time, i think becasue it is SUPER-FILLING. It does not act like regular bread at all. It really fills you up.
Thanks, Glenda! Glad you're here! lol at trying to read through all this journal-- that's a lot of blahbedyblah! It was so lonely in here at the beginning, I heard crickets chirping every time I came in for a report. I am so thankful and delighted and happy that all these wonderful women have come in to join me! I love fruit so much that I decided it had to be a part of what I was doing, or I just wouldn't make it. It wasn't fruit that made me fat! Ususally it was just some with breakfast, and it was either low carb fruit or a small portion that didn't add up to many carbs anyway. I'm way more loosey goosey with my carbs than everyone else , it seems. My CCLL is actually 75 and I seem to be eating around 35 instead-- I can "afford" some fruit if I like! heheheh about me not looking big in my photo-- I'm a MASTER of photo cropping and face angles! You did see my pics in post #589, right? Yeah, I look big, there was no getting around that there! OOOOhhh DG & Amber! No power! I would DIE! |

REPORT FROM LAST NIGHT
Weight today: did not weigh
Exercise: AM dog walk PM dog walk Food today: Breakfast: 2 egg omelet w/ bacon, spinach & cheddar, cantaloupe Lunch: leftover taco salad- seasoned ground beef, cheese, lettuce, cilantro, tomato, sour cream, avocado, salsa Snack: none Dinner: roasted pork chop, asparagus w/ mayo dip Dessert: peanut butter chocolate cream Supplements taken Is it possible to stop liking peanut butter? I had some last night in my chocolate cream and I couldn’t even finish it. It was so rich and filling it made me a little sick—made me feel as if I had eaten a whole bag of reeses peanut butter cups... I ate about 5 bites before I just couldn't eat any more. I haven’t had hardly any peanut butter with this run of low carb—previously it was a STAPLE and I ate plenty of it. Too much of it. I don’t know why I’m not eating it now… but it was really unappealing last night. (It was the same good organic natural peanut butter I always ate, so it was ME, there was nothing wrong with the PB.) hmmmmmm. Very weird. I concentrated today on getting my two dog walks in. I’ve decided that it is the true first step to doing more exercise. If I gung-ho it, it will just backfire in my face and I’ll end up doing nothing. My Callanetics-aches are almost gone, so I’m feeling better. So, since phase A is under control (“just eat low carb food, moron.”) I am now going to work on phase B (“Just walk your dog twice a day, moron.”) until I get that right as well. Gosh it’s a slow process. My positive for the day: feeling good, sleeping good! Success today. On to day 150! |
