Thanks girls! I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkk... and I had chicken fajitas minus the tortillas... pretty tasty, yet not too filling... so far so good!... Now I have to do my 14 minutes on the Eliptical.............

Thank you Jan! I guess it went ok, because I lost another .4. I feel very fortunate about that after eating out... 199 even today... so excited!!...

I do have to actually WORK today, so I don't know how much time I will have, hope to check in a few times today and see how everyone is!..

Deb! Hey muffin!!!!! i'm going to do a low cal day today...not looking forward to it, but i loaded for dang near a week! LOL. Anyway, i have meetings this morning, but i'll be around in the afternoon.

Yes, exercising.. holy cow that is hard for me.. but I'm gonna do 30 days straight to make it a habit that I can't stand to break. I know it will do me good. My heart, my lungs, my body, everything is depending on me getting healthy! So thanks for cheering me on!!!!... WE MISSED YOU BAD!!...

Forgive me! I shall never leave for this long ever again!
(kinda don't want to either ~ so hard to catch up! )

I am (this instant) pondering how to approach this week with my foods.
I am leaning more towards low carb. Not really sure yet?
I love soups and I just invested in my very first dutch oven. Man I was soooo happy! Can't wait to start using it to make stews and soups and like Rachel Ray says STOUPS!

So what are you guys doing?

Sounds good!!!.. I do soups once every day. Usually it is for dinner because I am TRYING to eat my lightest meal in the evenings.... note TRYING...

I am doing VLCARB today, like only a cucumber for carbs, oh and CREAM in my coffee.. I just feel so hungry after yesterdays meal out that I want to go clean today on the carbs... then tomorrow.. I don't know yet?...

I am definately in my own mode again, I just can't stay that low in cals for more than one day in a row. My body is pissed at me when I try... so I am staying with my cycling.. I figure this week will most likely be my last TRYING TO LOSE REALLY BAD WEEK... and I will go into maintain mode until after Thanksgiving...

Then another LOSE HARD for a couple of weeks and maintain till after the holidays are finally over... we shall see... you know how fickle I am!!... I just feel good to be where I have been dying to be for years now!... whooo hooooo.....

You know what I found interesting? Even tho' the scale is going down (well I am stalled now and will probably see a gain tomorrow from yesterday ) my stomach is bloated. When I am eating really clean doing low carb, I have a smaller middle...which is what is pushing me to low carbs this week to see what happens.

I am so wishy washy right now it's not even funny!

You sound like ME... oh well, what can ya do? Just try low carb for a few days maybe and see if that bloat leaves ya...

I was going to post this over in the other thread but I feel bad for those not eating...

Think this'll stall me?

Ham Chowder

1 1/2 tb Butter
1 lg White onion, chopped
2 cl Garlic, minced
1 1/2 c Water
2 tb Dry sherry
1/2 c Water
1/2 lb Lean bacon or ham cubes
6 Stalks celery sliced diagonally
3 c Cubed turnips, peeled
1 1/2 c cream or yogurt
1 Tbls. guar gum


In dutch oven, saute bacon in butter until bacon in browned. Add onion, celery, garlic, turnips, 1 1/2 c water and cream or yogurt. Bring to boil and simmer 30 minutes uncovered. Combine sherry, water and guar gum thoroughly (no lumps, using a whisk). Whisk sherry mixture into chowder and simmer until thickened. Add salt and fresh black pepper to taste

OH ALL THAT IS HOLY..... that sounds good!!.... I think if you can keep it to a normal sized bowl it will NOT do any harm... now the swimming pool full of it, might....

I can't think of what might hurt you, it is nice and CREAMY though.. and we know that cream doesn't seem to hurt you much.. so give it a try and if you don't gain, I'm having it too....

I was thinking of it's saltiness

I may just buy ham and have it with eggs and call it a day! I'll plan better for a soup later in the week

WELLLL maybe to be safe yeah... could explode in saltiiness.... I'm trying it though, after this round is done... which is most likely next week... too many temptations coming up and I want to maintain again.. ( of course I will change my mind halfway through, that is what I do..)...
