Good morning, Shari! Girl, I tell you what, I don't have a clue what my goal is... I keep changing it depending on how I feel at the moment. I am thinking 140ish would be good for me. I am at 146.8 today.

I am on VLCD7 and have only lost 3.2 since I had to give back .2 on the scale this morning. This will be a short round for me though so I'm holding on to that thought to get me through!

Thanks for the support girls, I truly need it! This round has not been fun. (Like they ever are, right?)

I upped my drops to 15@3Xday to see if that would help with the hunger I've been having. It starts around 3pm and lasts the rest of the day. I changed my dosing schedule to help also. We shall see.

I lost .4 this morning which beats the .2 I gained yesterday. That puts me at 5.4 lost in 11 days. 12 days to go!

Thanks! I felt so much better after the 15 drops yesterday. The evening hunger wasn't bad at all. There was no way I could have stood it like it was before. Yikes. I can't do hunger.

I'm down .4 this morning. That's 5.8 this round. I don't think I want to go below 140. I'm 47 and the skin is starting to get really loose and look bad. I'm afraid if I lose more it will just make me look worse. So I will finish out this round and see what happens. I'm at 144.2 right now and I don't see me losing below 140 in the next week anyway.

I just started reading your journal. I'm only on page 5. What are the P2 chocolate shakes you are referring to? Is it the Walkers Diet low carb shake mix I saw you speak of on another thread? I am mainly asking for my 23 year old ds who is doing this with me. I look forward to reading the rest of your journal. You are a true inspiration.

Hi Brenda, I'm reading as much as I can about HCG protocol & you have done an amazing job. Congratulations.

Can I ask you though how the round length is adjusted as I read in your journal somewhere that you had done a 'long round'. Which phase/s do you add days to?

Thanks

I'm dusting off this journal and am contemplating another round of hhcg. I maintained from May 2011 to Mar 2012 within my 2 pound window. Then when I started an exercise program (Power 90) my weight went out of my window. From all I had heard in the past of exercise, I truly thought my weight would come back down without a CD. It did not. Today I'm at LDW +9.8. I am in the process of scheduling my next p2. I don't know if I will exercise during p2 but I will if I have the strength.

I'm sorry I didn't respond to the posts above. I have neglected this journal for a long time!

I'm down a bit today at LDW +8.6.

I've finished 67 days of Power 90. Only 23 to go. I must say that before P90 I had been a couch potato for at LEAST a decade. At LEAST.

I'm wondering about exercise during a p2. I really don't think I could work out heavily on such a small amount of calories. I don't think exercise during p3 would be a good idea either due to the metabolism reset issues. I want my metabolism to reset at the max number of calories and the minimum amount of exercise. Ha.

I like the way exercise is firming things up (but have soooooo far to go, it isn't even funny. So much loose skin...) but am considering dropping it if I do another p2. Decisions, decisions...

Here's why I believe in the resetting of the metabolism on hcg. I have been on many, many diets in my life. Once the diet ended and I returned to my previous calorie level, the pounds came right back. And brought a few of their friends. After ending the hcg protocol, and resuming a much bigger calorie level, the pounds did NOT come back. I maintained for almost a year. My weight only went up when I started an exercise program and didn't do a CD. (And a weird part of my brain also wonders if the exercise somehow disrupted the metabolism level at which my body had been reset. Probably not, but who knows? Deep thoughts... LOL)

So do you think it is not a good idea to exercise after P2 because it causes wight gain? What about just a walking program? I plan to start a round at the end of this month and would like to walk at least 30 mintues a day lightly. I have heard it can cause stalls. I would hate to not do something daily because I have gotten in a habit of doing it. I would love to hear what you think about it because from the looks of it you have been very successful with the protocol.

Hey Brenda, nice to see you posting again. The protocol is the truth..wonderful news that you've maintained for a year around LDW. If the only disruption has been adding the exercise I guess that's the reason for the gain..but I wonder why Congrats on the loss!

Hi Magie! Thanks for stopping by.

I personally think exercise is wonderful. Dr. S says if you already are exercising to go ahead and continue it. I think if you are already walking then I would for sure keep it up. I just wouldn't start a new program in p2. And for ME, I wouldn't start a new one in p3 either. P3 is for resetting the metabolism. I would think you would reset at whatever food and activity level you did in p3. I wouldn't want to have to keep to that particular exercise level just to be able to maintain in my window. Does that make sense? I would wait until P4 to start a new exercise program.

As for me, I hadn't exercised in years. I had always been told that exercise helps with weight loss. It really doesn't. It helps with toning and shaping and all that wonderful stuff. But it would take hours of exercise to work off an excess of calories. So when I started exercising and I went out of my 2 pound window, I thought the exercise alone would bring my weight down. Of course, it didn't. I should have done a CD immediately! We live and learn, don't we?

I look forward to hearing of your progress!

Hi there, my friend! How are you doing? The protocol surely is the truth! I have NEVER, EVER been able to maintain a weight loss for this long. I love the results but I surely do hate p2.

As for my gain, I usually overindulged on the weekends (out to eat with family and all that stuff!) and did a modified CD on Monday. When I started exercising, I thought the exercise alone would take care of that excess of calories. Umm. NOT! I should have done the CD. Sigh.

I ate light yesterday and had GY with strawberries and nuts for supper. I'm down a couple of pounds today and am at LDW +6.4.

I finished Power 90 day 68 yesterday. I really need to get back to the Callanetics too.

If I do another p2, I'm not sure I will keep exercising. Maybe just Callanetics.
