Goal!!!!!

This morning, VLCD20, the scale read (repeatedly) 205.8 lbs.

GOAL!!

Today is my last dosing day and my first apple day. Hopefully I can be down to 203-204 by tomorrow and hold that for the next 3 or so weeks on P3.

My initial goal was 195, but I modified it a bit and MADE IT!!! Can't wait until next round and Onederland!!!!!!

Hey Sass- Great Job!! I am calling today my first no dose day. I am eating an omlete on Tuesday for sure! I definitly want to do another round in the future. I am afraid that if I push myself to do a longer round, I will burn out on it. Kinda like when I was younger and drank a lot of whiskey straight up in one night and got really sick and now I can't stand it. Dawn said that the weight we should try to keep at is the wieght we were at on our last dose day.. for me would be 228.6. So yours would be today's weight.

Oh me too!! Too much of a good thing isn't always a good thing - I can feel myself starting to get burned out and am SO looking forward to larger portions and FATS! Today is my last dose day and depending on when I decide to stop either Tuesday late night or Wednesday morning I will be eating liberally from the fatty tree!

I plan to start my grocery shopping today for P3; one thing I've had in my head is to make some chicken bakes, Cordon Bleu-style, with either mozzerella and spinach stuffing or mozz and ham, rolled in flax meal and Italian herbs and spices. But right now my biggest WANT is a giant burger with bacon, avocado/guacamole and Chipotle Ranch or Caesar (full fat of course!).

Yeah, it's about time for me to end a round. 21 days is about my limit for such a diet as this; I did so well but worry now that my mind is so focussed on the end I'll fall off the wagon and don't want that.

Doesn't help my bottle is almost done too.

Good luck with your P3 transition, I'm going to be right behind you!!

I so LOVE ranch.. but it has sugar. As well as bacon, sausage, mayo... how are you going to handle those things?

I've eaten regular mayo before and have no problems, and today's WF shopping trip gave me no mayo's that didn't contain sugars of some sort. I did however find a few meats that had no sugar listed in the label (mostly pork products), but didn't look at sausage. I'll likely end up just using ground pork and seasonings whenever I want sausage (which I'm not all that into lately) and try to eat as little processed foods (like pre-mixed sausage etc) as I can. Not easy to say the least though...

LOL I'm going from my gut but so far I have the (marinated) mozzerella balls, spinach/ham (still not sure which I'll do), chicken, flax meal and seasonings - now I just have to figure it all out! I'm not a chef by nature, I'll likely be relying heavily on the Dude's culinary skills for this one!

All this is predicated, however, on me not eating all those little mozze balls on P3D1.

LDW - 204.0 and I'm done dosing!

It feels so weird not to be taking those drops.

My final weight for this round (LDW) is 204.0 lbs; the scale bounced between that, 204.4 and 203.6 so I'll take the middle one. SO close to Onederland my teeth hurt!!

So, I have lost now a total (from pre-load) of 14.2 lbs in 3 weeks. Considering I was at a bit of a standstill previously after losing 12 lbs on Atkins (post induction stall I believe, I'd been doing it also for ~3 weeks) there's NO way I'd have lost this weight any other fashion. NO WAY.

Today begins my pre-P3 days and I'm ready to use up the last of my measured meats; doubt they'd last until my next round P3 anyway. It's hard to believe it's over but 14 lbs in 3 weeks. Wow. Guys, I may not have "rockstarred" but, wow, that's incredible.

204. I like that number; I don't have to worry about keeping myself n Onederland, just close enough. Less pressure that way.

Sass, you did AWESOME! Today is my last VLCD.. I am so excited to have an omlete for breakfast tomorrow. I have still continued to lose after my LDW also. I think I am down another pound so I guess that is my cushion. Here's to eatin' some fat girl!

Great job on the inches, Sarah! Your waist is tiny compared to mine, we are apparantly built verrrryyyyy differently....well, you are also 2 inches taller! I am going to do my measurements tomorrow morning to see what I lost.

Okay so this morning I had my very first cheat. The cherry-sized mozzerella balls looked so good so I opened the container and had one. Then I wrapped another in my 4% beef and cooked it on the Foreman...and had a third while waiting for the burger to finish.

I should be so ashamed of myself.

Last night I goofed up a bit too and accidently had another apple for dinner when I'd already eaten that meal's fruit serving several hours prior. The scale didn't seem to mind though since I was in the 203s so I figured one (or three in the case of the cheese) extravagance wasn't going to kill me.

Today is clean-the-house-even-more-thoroughly-than-before-day as my (spinster, fastidious but VERY beloved) aunt is coming for a visit on Thursday. I literally can't wait!!! But the house needs to be in better shape - where I can cut a few corners with my mom, I have to thoroughly disinfect said corners for my aunt or she'll mention them. Biggest heart in the world however; she's 2 generations worth of nanny, godmother and practically grandmother so this is a treat.

Oh and Potaty, in answer to your earlier questions: I lost 1.8 lbs on my apple day and yes I have a very hourglass shaped body, most of my weight is carried in my hips and butt. I had breast reduction/lipo done so I went from a G/H bra size down to a D which helped my quality of life immensely but, according to a male coworker, was apparently "like giving away gold". I think if/when I get down to 150 I'll look really good, especially if I add muscle mass, but I can't see myself any lower and looking healthy (ie, still having the T&A I enjoy ).

Oy I feel like I fell hard off the wagon today. It started this morning (only day 2 in my P2/P3 transition) when I added some (3) small cherry-sized mozerella balls to my breakfast hamburger (3.5oz, 4% fat). Then I went shopping for a few small things, came home and had my Fage yogurt cup with 3 Splenda and a handful of blueberries (that's 260 calories, 20g fat just for the yogurt), took a nap and just now proceeded to eat nearly all the mozzerella balls (think there's maybe 3-4 left) as well as an Atkins chocolate brownie bar I'd left over in the fridge from my loading days.

I'm feeling fine so far (I've been very careful these last few days to take a probiotic) but am a bit ashamed of myself for not waiting until tomorrow to start in on the fatty foods. If I'm a pound OVER my LDW tomorrow I'll know I deserved it - hopefully that's it!! Lets see: 260 for the yogurt, maybe 130 for the morning burger, 720 for the cheese balls and 170 for the Atkins Endulge bar.

*sigh* Bad Sarah...

So I had the last few mozzerella balls as well as my last LF burger for dinner tonight. I feel like I cheated badly (that's a lot of cheese) but the scale is surprisingly only 1.5lbs up from my LDW and it's still nighttime, so hopefully most of that'll be gone by morning.

Tomorrow officially starts my P3 and I'm going in (today notwithstanding ) with a bang!! Either a nice burger with homemade guacamole (basically avocado and a couple tablespoons salsa) and bacon or a giant omelet!! Believe me though, I'm going to be taking my probiotics with Every meal for the next couple days!!

I'd gotten used to eating Atkins before starting this protocol so it shouldn't be too hard for me; I think I'm most looking forward to the salads again. I don't know how long I'll like cooking (I'm not a big enthusiastic baker) but there are loads of recipes I'm looking forward to trying (first one being those Coconut Chocolate Squares everyone is raving about!).

Hope you guys out there are doing well, whatever stage you're on!!

So this morning I weighed in right at my LDW then about .4lbs below. First day of P3 (officially). Breakfast today (OM NOM!!):

1/3 lb GF burger with Cajun seasonings
1/2 avocado made into guacamole (with 1T mayo and 2T salsa)
~1oz queso fresco

All of this was taken *after* my probiotic/enzyme combo of course!! Lunch will probably be yogurt and some blueberries, we'll see.

Ugh I think I've enjoyed eating too much this morning - seems the one-minute muffin I had put me over the edge. Aside from the burger I've had the last Atkins Endulge chocolate brownie bar, maybe a quarter cup of Greek yogurt with Splenda and that 1MM made with more (sweetened with Splenda) Greek yogurt and probably half a tablespoon too much butter (it came out more like bread pudding, I need to do that again!!). Now my tummy is throwing a tizzy as I ate all this before noon - I'll bet it's the fiber more than anything else.

My dog's been sick the last couple days and this morning had diarrhea that looked suspiciously bloody. I haven't taken her to the vet yet as she's still bright-eyed and bushytailed, it's just her diarrhea has me worried so I've been feeding her bits of Pepto Bismol tabs, a tiny bit of my burger this morning and plain Greek yogurt. I was supposed to entertain my aunt tomorrow and go back to Sacramento to see family before leaving for Canada on Monday so the timing couldn't have been worse. Hopefully it'll clear up on it's own and I don't leave the Dude (who's house/dog-sitting for me) with a big mess on his hands.

Arg. If it isn't one thing it's always another right?

Ugh, note to self (for future reference as I seem to have forgotten):

Fiber is FILLING!!!!!!

Also? Cheese is divine.

If I've gained more than 2lbs by tomorrow, I won't be surprised. I'm still stuffed by everything I ate before noon, have had a good hunk or two of queso fresco since then and the Dude is taking me out to dinner to celebrate my return to a "normal" diet.

Oh holy night but I am going to be in PAIN tonight (already am actually).

Welcome to P3, Body.

HOLY cow folks: I know for a fact I had over 3000 calories today of extremely high fat, high fiber and low net-carb foods, and yet tonight my scale only says 205.4 just a pound over LDW (which I'll probably lose most of overnight). I can't believe it - is stabilization REALLY this easy?!

Wow... I'm only up .4 this morning.

Today will be a touch more sedate. I doubt today will quite be the extravagance of P3D1 - for one my Dude won't be taking me out to Sizzler this time around - and my tummy still hurts a bit from all that fibre I think. Probably should keep it to a minimum for a while.

Breakfast I think will be an omelet, maybe with bacon, avocado and provolone, but I'm in no hurry. Like I said I'm having tummy fibre/fat issues even after 12 hours from my last meal, so will take care of the (still sick ) puppy and a few chores first before even contemplating food beyond a cursory thought.

Still. Only .4 lbs from 3000+ calories, much of that still in my tummy. I did Atkins for a good long while but for some reason this incongruity boggles the mind.

Note to self: queso fresco is addicting. I'm eating it plain, it's that good.

I'm worried about my pup, mostly because she's not feeling good at all, I leave for vacation and despite the Dude's fervent promises that he'll take care of her she always gets despondent whenever I leave, and I wonder if that'll only exaserbate the problem. I'll be in Canada for almost a week, gone for just over a week from the pooch, so I'm a bit stressed about her health. In some ways she's better but she's having loud tummy squirts today and is uninterested in food and water. Leaving her like this, even under the expert care of my Man, is hard especially since I'll be hard to contact while up north.

Anyway, packing today for the trip (sorry Kandi the scale isn't coming along ) and general picking up around the house. As far as fun vacations go this week has been a failure but I have the rest I know I needed and am looking forward to spending next week with my sis and BIL!!

Anyway, packing today for the trip (sorry Kandi the scale isn't coming along ) and general picking up around the house. As far as fun vacations go this week has been a failure but I have the rest I know I needed and am looking forward to spending next week with my sis and BIL!!

Enjoy your vacation Sarah and the pooch will be fine. Your pooch will have lots of kisses for you when you return.

Have a wonderful trip Sarah! Do you have a good vet just in case your BF needs to take puppers in? Is the dog eating or drinking yet? What kind of dog? He/She didn't swallow anything that caused and impaction did it? That happened to our lab, he swallowed a rock and had to have surgery.

The pup finally seems fine but she had diarrhea and no appetite for food or water the last few days; I think it finally broke, whatever it was she had. Perfect timing too, as I leave for my parents' house today, then Canada on Monday.

My final weight on my home scale: 205.2, which is 1.2lbs over my LDW. I was drinking (water) and had a snack late last night, plus my tummy is upset over something today, so I'm going to have a relatively light omelet for breakfast using my spinach (which I think will go bad while the Dude housesits *sigh*) and the last of the queso fresco. I'm really not hungry at the moment however, so that'll wait a while.

My parents have a scale (a nice one) at their house so I'll keep tabs on it while there; hopefully my sister has one too I can use while up there.

For now I have to pack my clothing into the bike for my trip, making sure I have EVERYTHING I'm going to need. I'm notorious for always forgetting *something* when I pack and I'd prefer that to be, say, a toothbrush rather than something important like a passport or camera. All my clothes will be going into a suitcase of my mother's (I wish I were riding the bike to the Frozen North but alas, the parental units' arguments won out ).

It's going to be exciting but I'm determined not to go too far off plan. Unless there's really good German food (spaetzel!) or Ukranian (borscht!!) in which case I may go a teensy off. *sigh* Otherwise I'll be the epitome of perfection while on this low-carb phase.

Time to get cracking on my packing and organizing, see you on the other side!
