Kandi, Potaty, I've heard that too: people are afraid to ask you whether you've really been losing weight because what if you haven't? Seriously though I don't get it: commenting that one is looking good is a compliment, even if the reasoning turns out to be faulty. My problem is that I'm normally the clueless one who doesn't notice a thing until I'm hit over the head with it.

I hope you find what works for you. You are doing a great job sticking to the plan. I find that the longer I am on it, the harder it is. In the beginning I had no side effects what so ever and hunger was dealable. Now it isn't so much the hunger it is the mental hunger. I just want to eat something else. I haven't had my chili the last couple nights and I think I am going to make some right now.

Yes! It's the mental hunger, not the physical! I am so ready to eat something else I can hardly stand it! I even have a P3, P4 and Load wishlist going, lol.

So far with my surprise introduction of shrimp, I've actually been doing well with variety! (that jalapeño mustard is a new fave marinade) Mainly it's the boredom of the veggies - I didn't realize until this diet how much I love mixing my greens.

Plus, I'm REALLY missing my Atkins burgers.

So I had my protein around 1:30 this afternoon, then my strawberries just now (7pm). Tomorrow is going to be tough for this grazer - it may only be an experiment but not eating for 12-14 hours is gonna be moider!!

I'm watching Insider and they're talking how the "full-figured trend" is taking over Hollywood, and how body image is changing worldwide. They're featuring, no surprise, Christina Hendricks as the plus-size icon. If I could be "plus size" like the fabulous Ms. Hendricks I'd be THRILLED!

Breakfast this morning:
shrimp and spinach sauted together in jalapeño mustard
apple

My 20oz green tea is chilling in the fridge and will be drunk at first break, water thereafter. No more grazing until dinnertime.

Weight this morning fluctuated but started at a low of 210.8 so I'll claim it. Finally to 210, now to get to 205 by next Friday (my second mini-goal).

My shoulder is screaming bloody murder and I have no idea why, yet here I am at work using it strenuously. Arg, I need to pop some pills asap!

The mustard is a simple store-bought brand but really good as a marinade (if you like mustard sauces). There was a chipotle mustard I wanted but it was 5 calories per serving and listed sugar as an ingredient which was disappointing. I could probably experiment and expand the flavor a bit but for now it's awesome.

I bought spicy deli mustard that has no sugar listed and use that on my salads but I have never seen jalapeno mustard. Maybe because I am not looking.

If I can get close to these goals I'll be happy; surpassing them would be phenomenal!! All up to me keeping to the diet and the vagaries of my body so we'll see.
Sassy, I know you can do this. Continue to do what you are doing; yes it's hard, but we have to get those releases we deserve.

I've been thinking about it and I'm not doing this diet as clean as I can. It isn't that I'm cheating, but I know that the ground beef I've been using has fat in it, more so than chicken or fish, so I'm going to cut it out for my next baking round. I already need to go shopping again (meats and apples especially) - I should probably do it today but I promised the Dude we could do something together today and I have enough for one more day. But for now, no more ground beef - this diet *really* takes low-fat seriously, more so than I've really considered since my pre-Atkins days. So hey, why not try and do it as clean as possible right?

Tonight I'm going to make my chili for the last time, then work on keeping myself limited to chicken and fish. Perhaps I can use ground chicken instead as I'm going to miss burgers.

Sassy, where did you find a chili recipe?

Exotic, the chili recipe is in the Recipe thread on this HCG subforum; I think it's like the third recipe? Great stuff though - no beans but it's a nice way to combine everything together in a different way, instead of having everything individually.

So, 13.5 hours later I had dinner: fish, asparagus and apple slices. Based on some reviews on the month's support list I tried the apple slices with some sea salt but I wasn't all that impressed; maybe I need to get the larger crystals. I was pleasantly surprised by how little hunger I felt - the only reason I didn't do the 16 hour voluntary fast I wanted to is because Dude said I was being a grouch. I agreed only when I realized I wanted to pop him in the mouth for saying that. I had nervous energy there at the end, mainly I think because my body was struggling to balance the energy and the fact that I was tired; I'm seriously contemplating a nap despite how late it is.

Forgot my drops this afternoon so double-dosed before eating; hopefully that won't hurt me much. But my first foray into non-grazing was a success: what it does to my losses, well, that remains to be seen.

Morning Sassy. Weren't you the one asking about less frequent urination? Well, I was skimming P&I and found this:

After the fourth or fifth day of dieting the daily loss of weight begins to decrease to one pound or somewhat less per clay, and there is a smaller urinary output.

I am thinking it is normal..

Woohoo!! 209.2 this morning for an overnight loss of 1.6 lbs, down a total now of 9 lbs from pre-load!! I'm down into the last decade of the 200s!!!!!

Today is the day of the BBQ and you can bet your bottoms after FINALLY losing the weight there is NO way I'm going off protocol!! I'm still debating whether I want to eat 4oz of steak at the BBQ tonight, bring my own or eat beforehand, but I'm definitely going to be downing the water instead of the snackfoods.

Had a bite of chicken this morning so the rest will be lunch, probably alongside the rest of my asparagus. I cut it up and steamed it last night with a light coating of chili powder and it was this great mix of tender and spicy. I actually liked it in bite-sized morsels like that! So that'll be lunch, and I'm saving my strawberries for dinnertime (I'm thinking those on spinach with a mustard or vinegar sauce, maybe add a packet of sweetener to the dressing?). No fruit for lunch today unless I get hungry.

Oops, forgot to dose this morning, gonna go do that now. My shoulder is still paining me (I've never had problems with it before ) so I took a big MSM pill which I'm hoping helps - otherwise Advil or some Aleve like yesterday. Oh, and the party is somewhere where there's a pool, and day before yesterday I found my bathing suit so... I'm going in. It'll be a good way to distract myself from the shacks on the bar in any case.

ETA: So instead of waiting I had chicken and steamed asparagus sauted in that jalapeño mustard and some water. Good stuff, I think that'll hold me until dinner (whatever that's going to be).

So I was as good as can be expected tonight at the BBQ for someone who went in unprepared and sans kitchen scale. This morning I had chicken breast and asparagus at 9am and didn't eat until the steak at the BBQ (~6pm). I cut out a square through the middle of the steak (in the no-visible-fat area, no edges) and gave the rest to the Dude. I honestly don't know what the steak I had weighed; it was smaller than my palm (but I have large palms) and I'm guessing around 5-6 ounces cooked. I had no fruit at all today, no Melba and no veggie for dinner - just the steak and lots of water. New York strip I believe so it had fat.

Folks, I did my best. Today was a very Atkins-y day, but I'm not sure how many calories etc I did, or how my body will react to everything. I'd love a lowering of the scale but will take what I can get. Came home and took an enzyme/probiotic pill as my tummy is feeling funny tonight (not bad, just active) and I'm off to bed.

209.2 this morning for a .6 lb loss overnight. I'll take it!

Dosed this morning at 3:30, hurried and ate at 4, rushed out the door... and forgot my drops. Looks like another round of double dosing when I get home.

Oh man I hope so!! To get there though I'd have to average a pound/day and so far that hasn't been my average at all. I'm going to try intermittant fasts for the next couple of days (12-16 hours between meals) as my first time doing it gave me a decent daily loss.

I hate to admit it, but I'm a slow loser. Very disappointing but there isn't much to be done about how the body reacts.

Considering you were already being a "good girl" on Atkins/meat & eggs before starting, I wonder if that is contributing to the slower loss? KWIM? Keep it up, you are making progress and that is what matters!

Well I feel silly: I didn't look close enough at my stats. 209.2 was the same I weighed in yesterday - so much for any additional loss today, but at least I didn't gain!

I really am starting to miss out on my Atkins foods: Greek yogurt, cheese, full-fat (BIG) burgers, CHEESE, guacamole, mayo, CHEESE.... I also miss being able to mix and match my veggies in salads or stirfry. I'm on day 14 which means I have only a week to go for dosing, but today was when it really hit me that I'm ready to be done with P2.

Oh well, onward and upward I suppose.

So I had my breakfast at 4am and ate again at 3:50pm so not quite 12 hours. Dinner was eggs (1 whole, 3 egg whites) in Franks Red Hot and salt and pepper, scrambled with some steamed spinach and apple slices, along with 32 oz of water. No more food for me until tomorrow morning. I'm really hoping this works for me; my body seems rabid about staying between 211-209 and I just want to get past that. My initial (2nd) mini-goal was 205 by this Friday but unless I start seeing some major changes that probably won't happen in 4 days.

Welcome to my last week of R1P2.

Day 15.

10 lbs down in 2 weeks.

Remember how down in the dumps I was yesterday? Not so much today.

I haven't seen the weight come off this fast since doing induction (which was actually right before starting R1P2)!!

Bikini-bound, woohoo!!!!!

So yesterday was my second IF (intermittant fast) day and just like before I have a loss: only 1 lb overnight this time, but considering my string of .2 lb days (some of which I had to, hm, trick the scale for) I'm perfectly happy with that. I may have myself a system, at least for my workdays: eat breakfast right before work (4am) then again twelve hours later around 4pm. That way I have a full 12-hour slot between my two daily meals and give my digestive system a rest.

Last night I stayed up to watch Bachelor Pad and Dating In The Dark. Both got me a little depressed at the secret lives of "pretty people". So much drama, random hook-ups, uncertainty and jealousy - makes me happy I didn't grow up like that. Still.... it'd be nice to attain that level even if only to see whether it's all it's "cracked-up" to be.
