Dinner tonight (for me) was shrimp and celery, and a lovely tomato sliced with sea salt. I've already drunk a gallon of water and basically really, really wanted some salt in my meal tonight. The shrimp and celery were pretty bland as I had no soy sauce (technically the Dude had none since I cooked there) but that tomato and sea salt was divine!!

We made jambalaya with chicken and hot sausage for the Dude - not as low carb as I'd like but he enjoy it (and I couldn't ). He's been sucking down water and cranberry juice all day to fix his kidneys. I'm hoping so too as he needs to get to his classes and a swollen foot makes it hard to drive or ride a motorcycle.

This morning I'm up (I think?) .2lbs due most likely to the salted tomato. I swear I put WAY more salt on those tomato slices last night than I did on my shrimp and celery. The scale was giving me heck again this morning, weighing me in the 202s and even once in the 203s. So yeah, sue me, I took the lowest number.

This morning was chocolate cottage cheese "dip" and my apple slices (for the dipping ), which I was craving last night. Good stuff, that. I've no idea what lunch will be but I'm thinking another spinach omelet might be good since I need to get rid of the spinach in my fridge, plus perhaps adding in some sliced (boiled) radishes to serve as potatoes? I'll admit, I'm seriously missing my cheese and spray oil so things don't stick - even when the pan is "non-stick", well, it still sticks.

Sassy, has he ever tried the cranberry pills for his kidneys? So much easier on you than the juice. You can get them at WallyWorld in the vitamin section. Hope he's feeling better!

Dinner tonight was simple since I wasn't in the mood to cook so I had a pre-cooked burger, steamed asparagus with some cayenne and chili powders, and apple slices. I also drank 108oz of water before 3pm and have been frequently visiting the bathroom so I'm hoping for a good loss by tomorrow.

I've been considering them but for now I really want to figure out how specific we need to get his diet to keep the gout (and kidney problems) under control. There's a lot of conflicting info for gout and kidney health diets, which makes things hard, but at least he's finally willing to consider changing what he eats.

Alright so I just ate a teensy amount of cottage cheese, probably no more than a tablespoon.

You know you're morning is going to be good when your nightly weight is the same as that same morning. Keeping my fingers crossed for a *really* good morning!!

It's official: my first TOM visit of P2-dom. Last night I was kind of spotting on and off (I was visiting the bathroom more often than not) and this morning it was a bit more apparent. It's a bit early but not terribly so; I was expecting him the end of this week or begining of next anyway. What's amazing is that I didn't have horrible cravings (well, come to think of it, some of the infomercials and TV ads were making me want to eat) or bad hunger. Can't complain about them apples though!!!

Breakfast this morning was fish and celery - I completely forgot my apple slices on the counter. Already have 20oz water in so far, I have to be careful at work since I only have select bathroom breaks (unless I want to stop everything). Hope to again get at least 60oz water in me before going home, then drink my 48oz bottle water.

Ooh, I also added half a lemon to my water yesterday which may have helped keep the bloating down (another TOM normality). I'm SO CLOSE to Onederland: my goal is to ignore TOM and drink as much water as my body will take, eat a low sodium diet, and get lots of sleep. Last night I got a FULL 8 hours of sleep, even though I did wake up about 45 minutes before my alarm this morning (I hate that).

In a good mood this morning. Firmly in 200, hoping for the best tomorrow or this weekend. Believe me, I'll be celebrating as much as I'm allowed once the scale reads 1xx. Probably have some foods that are a little higher in sodium (but still on plan) and maybe an extra Splenda on something. My own little splurges!!!

Oh I hope so!!! Really, ALL I'm waiting for is to reach 199!!! The rate of loss after that won't matter NEARLY as much. So far I'm down 3lbs from my preload which isn't quite as much as R1, but I'm happy with what I've managed so far.

Wouldn't it be awesome if I got to my R2 goal in just that 21-day span?! Believe me, I'd be relieved beyond belief!! But somehow I don't see myself losing 15lbs in the next week and a half.

I've been looking on the LCF exercise boards for what to start up doing once I lose more weight. My mother bought Insanity (a very intense workout) that she hurt herself doing the very first workout (she's fine, just pulled a muscle) so set it aside to gather dust. I also have a gym membership I put on hold but didn't cancel in the hope I can eventually go back, and at that gym I have some prepurchased trainer sessions that are still good.

It stinks we can't work out while in P2 because I'm totally motivated, but I'm more interested in the weightloss than in muscle matters at the moment. Still, it's been on my mind today, that once I get thinner I'd like to try toning to remove more inches.

Lunch was chocolate cottage cheese and apple slices dipped in the cCC. I've very little CC left in that container and am considering tonight finishing it off, but we'll see. I've already drunk about 120 oz water and am trying not to eat or drink anything after 6pm, preferably earlier (I drank all that water by 2pm); I also added juice from half a lemon to the water.

I'd really, REALLY like to see 199 tomorrow morning but understand with TOM visiting that may not happen. Still, I'm SO happy to be this close - the end of the weekend for sure!!!

Oh yeah, breakfast was again chocolate cottage cheese and apple slices (I really need to figure out a veggie to go with that meal ). I think a big steaming bowl of chili made from a giant roma tomato and maybe an onion (and lots of sodium!!!) may be on the menu for tonight.

I also have a teensy confession to make. Breakfast yesterday morning was tuna with mustard and celery, and I had an extra portion of cottage cheese (about 3oz) before going to bed (WAY EARLY). It seems to have worked for me today, although I'm not sure if it'll be an everyday occurance.

But WOOHOO, Onederland!! Finally!!!!!

Honesty is the best policy.. ya never know when you can help someone else who may have given up hope.

For alot of folks this is just too tough... but someone reads that it can be done with a tweak here and there... and it might bump them on to a big loss... YEAH FOR YOU!

It is indeed a very limiting diet and there's a lot of conflicting information out there regarding HCG diets. This board is quite happy with Dr. Simeon's original protocol and I did well with it too, but I'm just wondering if an extra (small) portion of protein here or a different vegetable there, etc, may help too. I'm debating on continuing to eat breakfast and lunch as Protocol dictates, and for "dinner" having a spoonful (or two) of cottage cheese like I did last night. It seems to have worked this time but who knows about other days (unless I try). Everyone's different, the Protocol isn't necessarily one size fits all.

Dinner was, well... So my "celebration" for passing into Onederland didn't really happen - when it came right to it, I felt unmotivated and uncreative to really do much of anything so I boiled up the remaining radishes, ate more cottage cheese and had my apple. All separately, no mixing or matching - I'm actually finishing the apple now.

I was somewhat derailed by taking the Dude to the doctor for his kidneys, a visit that was somewhat fruitless as we found out nothing other than it's not an infection. They're doing some bloodwork to figure it out but he won't know the results until next week and he hurts now. So a very bland diet for a while, here's hoping he actually sticks to it.

Also ended up drinking my water later than usual - I've had a bit less than a gallon today but hope to drink a little more tonight as I'm currently stuffed (ate my dinner only after drinking 50oz water, talk about stuffed!). I'm hoping for another loss but would just love to stay in the 100s. Hopefully an earlier bedtime then off to another day of work. Saturday hours suck but they sure help pay the bills.

Oh yeah, I'm also going to be having my hair done a week from today. It's going to be a big change (hopefully): I'm getting my hair chemically straightened and styled, and I'm looking forward to the experience!! I have really thick, really curly red hair and am doing nothing with it so figured, why not? I realize there'll be a lot of caustic chemicals and probably some oil-based creams/conditioners used so am not expecting that day (or progressive days) to go well weightloss-wise. Still, it'll be something completely new and different, and I so need that right now!

Hi there, I am new to the community and wanted to chime in about your success. Congrats! I am on day VLCD #7. My start weight was 220 and I am down 16 lbs. I have never had this type of success before. I am so glad that I found this diet. People at work are buying HCG now and reporting equal success.
