Lunch: 1 whole egg, 3 whites, melba, strawberries
Dinner: chicken, asparagus, melba
Snack: 4 pickle spears

I took a sneak at the scale tonight and it read the lowest it has been so tomorrow is bound to bring good news! No iced tea today, just water. I didn't drink as much as I wanted but with the busyness of the day, I got in what I could!

Hee, hee, sorry! Had a super busy day and my son is being very needy at bedtime these days.....

VLCD18, weight 201.6, down 1.6! This is my "now I can get excited" weight. This is the lowest I saw on the scale after baby C was born. The weight I just lost was weight I should have never packed on, it was all from stress/mindless eating (well, really, all of my weight is from that so I guess it doesn't matter too much).

Today's menu:
Lunch: P2 chili made with round steak and 1/2 can tomatoes, melba
Snack: Americano with splash of milk
Dinner: chicken chili
Snack: melba

No fruit today, not really feeling it because I have left are grapefruit and this past bag of them was really not very good. I feel like I'm retaining water again so I think I need to completely cut out the iced tea with sweetener. The canned tomatoes may not have been a great idea either but payday is tomorrow so I can replenish with fresh foods. Only 5 more days!!!!

Melody!!!!!!! So good to hear from you! C is still nursing too. Yeah, I know you aren't supposed to do this hcg diet when nursing but I figured there would be no harm since I nursed T all the way through C's pregnancy. Really no difference in my opinion.... My supply doesn't seem to have suffered and she has had no complaints at the taste or belly issues so I figure it's all good! I am Jenny's FB friend so I keep up with her somewhat through there, but I agree, you both need journals!

I am soooo over the VLC menu! I guess I would kind of rather not eat than eat the allowed foods at this point, lol. I may or may not have some melba or grapefruit later...not hungry in the least.

I bought some frozen raw cream from the dairy farmer today, I can't wait to thaw it for my coffee on Wednesday!!!

Question for Sarah and Kandi: So tomorrow is my last dosing day, is that the day I use as my "final" weight for this round, or do I use Monday's weight? Also, if my last dose is at 3pm tomorrow, does that mean I can eat a P3 dinner on Wednesday???

I took it as using your Monday weight as that's the results of your last dosing day. Tomorrow is also technically my last dosing day and I'll be taking my Monday weight as my LDW.

another thing about the weight.. don't you think that we might still lose weight the 2 days of doing VLCD after we stop dosing? Why would we not want to use the lowest weight on one of those days as our set weight to maintain?

VLCD21, weight 199.0, loss of 1.2! Woo Hoo!!!!!!! Today is my last dose day. My last dose will be at 3pm so I am totally going to eat a P3 dinner on Tuesday, I am sooo excited! I am thinking Mon and Tues will be pretty hard without dosing.

I am also trying to figure out if I am going to do a proper "stabilization" or if I am going to go into Atkins to keep the weight coming off. I will decide soon, I would like to do one more round in October so maybe P3 is the way to go (which is basically Atkins but you aren't supposed to lose weight). Hmmmm...decisions, decisions!

SQUEEE!!!!! Congrats on Onederland!!!!!!! Woohoo you made it!!!

Regarding any weight lost between LDW and your last VLCD I'd consider it a buffer against your first (or first several) days of P3. I'm still going to base everything maintenance-wise on my LDW but at least if your a pound or so below your LDW you don't have to worry too awful much about the gain on P3D1.

ETA: I've been trying to decide that very thing myself: maintain my LDW orkeep losing via LC. P3 is essentially a LC diet and it's curious to me how people don't continue losing while on it. Probably the inclusion of fruit and colored veggies? Either way as I see it, as long as I don't go more than 2 lbs *above* my LDW I'm fine with continuing downward but am perfectlycontent to stabilize and try a future round in a few weeks. HTH!!

Sweet Potaty... you did it!! I am gonna follow in your footsteps one day, girly! I think I decided to at least to a full 3 week P3. Maybe there is something to this rebooting your metabolism thing. Dr. S hasn't steered me wrong so far. I haven't decided yet on P4 but I am thinking at least this first time, I will do 3 weeks of it. I think that way today anywho... ask me tomorrow and the answer may be different.

Lunch: 2 whole hardboiled eggs (2 of the eggs got ruined or maybe were bad to begin with so I ate 2 whole instead of 1 whole, 3 whites), grissini

Dinner: chicken, tomato, grissini

Snack: pickles

No fruit today because I was way too lazy to go to the store. I will probably go pick up a container of strawberries tomorrow.

I was tired and low on energy today. I took a couple potassium tablets and they helped a bit.

Great job Katy!!!

You definitely want to do a full P3 and stabilize within your window. You are resetting your hypothalamus to your new weight. If you try to keep losing you will not stabilize correctly. Once you stabilize at your new weight (it takes 21 days) then you can either do P4 or start another round. If you start another round then you are "cycling". The whole purpose of the protocol is reset your hypothalamus and your metabolism. It's really nice once you stabilize - in P3 I can eat 2000 calories and maintain my weight.
