Hi everyone!

I'm really getting to see what my eating habits are, and what are nutritional limitations.

I'm really ignorant about labels, ingredients, and where sugar hides. I used frozen chicken boobs, but now I'm switching to fresh. Hopefully there won't be any saline/sugar solution in the meat.

I'm going to look into local butchers or local farms. Hopefully it won't be too costly and investment!

You're doing great, and I loved getting to read of your progress... what really stuck out to me was when you mentioned making a mistake one night, and afterwards pretty much said that you're human and your mistakes don't define you. That's one of my biggest beliefs, and something I give everyone as advice... your mistakes don't define you unless you let them! That's such a great attitude to have

Wow! I would have guessed it was cauliflower too, just covered in cheese... that sounds even easier, and super tasty! Does it get crispy at all like the cauliflower one can? I might have to try that once I'm back home. My dad is kind of cooking inept and doesn't even have a working oven

I'm feeling awesome this morning! Other than being kicked out of ketosis for some reason *cough*sugarfreecandy*cough*

My diet other than that "mishap", is the same as always.

I think I would love to grill something tonight! I love grilling!!! Maybe I should kebabs or chicken?

I'm a binge eater (by trade) and I'm not going to cure that over night. I seem to binge on (bacon, sf candy, and cheese). I try to make it as LC friendly as possible. I know, as I type this, that it doesn't make sense when I say it. What point of binge(ing) makes sense?

It hasn't gotten me down, or deterred me in the slightest. I love this way of eating! I've said this before, it's a comfort to me to eat like I do.

Here is an interesting observation! When I did part take in the sf candy. I CRAVED SUGAR. So I know this isn't good for me to partake in often.


I'm trying to move on to something else to obsess over. Now it's Splenda Sweetened Iced Tea (decaf) and drinking multiple 100s oz of water!

For the past couple of days I've had very little veggies in my diet.. I just want meat and eggs. Is that going to hurt my ketosis (when I get it back)?? Are the veggies essential?

I hear you on the SF candy! Not good all around. With regard to vegetables, they're essential for keeping you regular and for the nutrients they provide; can you add a side of broccoli to the steaks/chicken/kabobs? Or can you eat a vegetable omelet in the morning?

Grilling sounds like a lovely idea! We're doing as much as we can here before the temps get too hot to make it fun to be outside. Can most certainly relate to the sf candy thing...and it's a work in progress for me too. Could the iced tea be what triggered the extra cravings for the candy? Just a thought..

Veggies definitely aren't necessary for ketosis In fact, when people do a fat fast (pretty much all meat and eggs and stuff like that) they get into ketosis quicker due to the absence in all the extra carbs.

I wouldn't sweat it if you're just not feeling veggies right now! If you take a multivitamin especially, because you won't be missing all that much and I'm sure you'll sneak some in now and again. It seems like with this WOE your taste buds change quite a bit, and pretty rapidly sometimes too. Sometimes I'll feel like eating a MASSIVE salad... other times it's just meat meat meat. And cheese

On the bright side too, since the SF candy knocked you out of it... if you're eating mostly meats and stuff like that with no extra carbs snuck in, you'll be back in ketosis even quicker. Probably a few days, max I'd guess. Possibly quicker

So sorry the SF candy wasn't kind to you though! I know how that is... that stuff is evil! Luckily I'm not big on candy anyway, but ugh do I know what you mean about binge foods. I swear if anyone put a giant plate of white rice in front of me right now I'd probably cry if I could even restrain myself from eating it.

I don't know about where you are, but it's a BEAUTIFUL day here! Get outside and grill if you can... and post some pictures too! I love grilling foods as well. I'll have to get some LC barbecue sauce for this summer!

SO what's going on?? Nothing too fun or interesting! I've been on plan eating the same old same old. I love the routine, but my family's suffering for it. The one thing I DO love about this WOE is the fact that I hardly (if ever) go to fast food places anymore.

I took the tomatoes off and only at half of the onions!


I left the cheese alone.

Hello my loves!!! Sorry it's been a while, but I've had to rethink how to eat. My friend (fitness) analyzed how and what we were eating. She determined everything was tooo much! We were over eating our carbs! I'm an ignorant! She found that the way you prepare/cook things can change it's structure and it's carb count!

I've realized everything I was doing wrong! Here's a list because I know y'all would want to know (if I were you I would!)

1. FIRST and FOREMOST I didn't log my food! How did I know if I was at my carb count if I didn't monitor it?!?! I assumed if I stayed with everything was legal I was ok! WRONG!

2. I monitored my cheese intake, but not my cream!! ACcccKKKkkKKKkkKKK That was ugly! I was having (some days) upwards of 16 carbs a day JUST in cream! WTCrap!

3. Diet soda! We figured out that on can of DS contains the equivalent of 2 packs of splenda. PER CAN! That's like 2 carbs per can! Right?!

4. SUGAR FREE CANDY MAKES ME BINGE AND CRAVE SUGAR! That is all.

So what I've found with this experience is that accountability equals success!

It's me again!


Here is a little picture food log for today!

I don't know if you guys notice this is fajitas (AGAIN) BUT I subbed broccoli and mushrooms for the 55 lbs of onions they put on it! I love fajitas. I'm sure this will get old soon enough.

THIS is my new obsession! It's a SF Iced black (decaf) coffee with sf cinnamon dolce syrup! Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! I went back a few hours later and got myself another one AND bought myself a 10.00 bottle of the syrup!
