Good luck with JUDDD. I tried it last year about this time, I absolutely loved it. If I could, I would so still be doing it.. I think you'll really like it! Cannot wait to hear about the journey with it.

After about 3 months I just couldn't get the scale to go down..it kept wanting to creep upwards.. After awhile I just couldn't stick with it. I totally wish I could, I did like how DD's made me feel. I wasn't on it nearly long enough to be able to give you any good advice..but if you've been to the JUDDD forum you know that there are some amazing women there with major major success with the plan would would love to help you! Just goes to prove, we are all unique and require different steps on our journey.

DD a success!

I've just finished up my cals for today and I did a fantastic (IMHO) job!

I've had plenty of fluids(just water). I'll prob have some more H2O later.

I did the best I could with what we had in the house. I cleaned it out recently of non LC induction foods. SO I didn't have a ton of low cal foods. So my menu might look weird and that's why.

I had:

110 calorie bag of Jiffy Time Popcorn
100 calorie veggie burger from Morningstar (love it!)
155 calorie SF shake made with crushed ice and unsweetened coconut milk. YUMM!

I think tomorrow is going to be tough for me, because I have a LOT of high cal LC food and veggies.

Wish me luck! I wish everyday could be as successful as today!

Hey Everyone! I'm on day 2 of JUDDD. This is my Up Day! I've ha 550 calories so far today. =)

This equaled to a can of vienna sausages and a can of Mandarin oranges! This food isn't the most nutritious BUT it's what I have to work with until Friday when I buy food. So plan for some WEIRD food combos for a few days. =)

My day was awesome! I did have a bit of a headache, but I'm not sure if it was caused by my restriction?! I ate over my UD cals by 31 cals! I ate under my DD yesterday, so I'll pretend I ate 31 over on purpose. I can tell you that I accidentally ate 700 cals worth of COOKIES! I wish I was being cheeky and telling you are story... But I'm not! UGH I would've NEVER eaten that many cals of useless non-nutritive food. It was like I was on auto-pilot! My gay bestie (Tyler) and I are tv/food buddies. He bought the cookies the other day and and he cracked them open. Well I just started eating, happy as a clam. I ate 5 before I came to, and realized what I was doing!! UGH! Thank goodness I had all those cals to spare, but I sure did feel like a dummy!

I'm planning to have two "meals" today...

The one I'm REALLY looking forward to is my Slimfast shake!

I make it with the chocolate royale slim fast powder, unsweetened coconut milk, and ice in a blender. Well this time around (for 100 extra cals) I'm adding a tab of all natural peanut butter (no sugar added)! I realize it's a liquid meal, but I love it! This combo will equal 260 calories!

That leaves me with 187 cals..... I might have some tuna, or a piece of frozen fish.. Maybe some random crap in my pantry! hehehehe I dunno!

I've found myself with two journals! I'm going to keep it like that so my readers (who don't adhere to what diet I'm doing) can relate to my weight loss struggles... Not nes. the specific plan! I plan on updating on how I feel and how my body is changing. I won't litter this journal with pages and pages of JUDDD related literature.

You will, however, see my reposting my weightloss as much as possible!

On to another observation!

I haven't slept yet... Since it's my DD and I'm a stay at home wife/mom I can sleep right through my day til my kid gets home from school. I know that as I lose weight. I'll become more active, and this choice won't make sense at all. Right now it works for me.

Today was a WONDERFUL DD! I ate two things today for a total of 425!

I'm down three LBS in three days!

My menu for today:

-One container of Fage yogurt (with the little honey connected to it) BUT I hated the honey so much I ate the yogurt plain! I guess I should adjust for those cals I didn't eat, but I'm not THAT spastic about logging. I'll pretend I ate them!

-I made another slimfast shake(110cals), coconut milk(45cals), and 1 tab of PB (110)... I LOVEEEEEEEE this shake! I think I'm going to shop around for a protein powder to use (for less calories)!

Do any of you have a protein powder suggestion??

I really like consuming my calories (on DD) by way of liquid! It's a no brainer to me.. It's like I can separate myself from food, because the delivery system is different.

I WILL say I made chicken and dumplings for my family tonight, and I was TEMPTED!!! NOt in a serious (uhh ohh I'm going to cheat) way.... I can't wait to eat them tomorrow! WOOT

I'm always fascinated that so many of you are able to follow this JUDDD diet. I know I would feel ravenous and miserable on the DD's. And a little frightened about eating so much on the up days. I think it must require more self-discipline than I could muster. I'm really impressed by your success with it. Really impressed! Keep it up, girl. You are doing so well.

It's UD!!! WOot!

I finally get to have my homemade Chicken and Dumplings! I'm glad I had to wait, because they are better the longer they sit!

So far today I've had an everything bagel with light veggie cream cheese. It wasn't my ultimate choice for my breakfast, but I jumped out of bed forced to do unplanned errands. I was so hungry I was sick, and I had to go to the grocery store! I thought to myself, I could go to a bojangles, or mcdonalds for breakfast. I don't make solid choices there yet. I went to the bagel place right next to the grocery. I'll tally the calories in a bit.

So lunch is dumplings and then for dinner my son and I will have wings (BuffaloWildWings). I hope I make a good decision there! I'll obviously plan before I go!

While at the grocery I picked up some more unsweetened coconut milk and yogurts for my DD. =D It's my fav combo right now.

Ohh! Also I'm down another lb! 4lbs in 4 days..............

Ok Update on food! I went with the boneless chicken wings (I ate 5). They were disappointing. SUPER crusty and crunchy hardly any meat! Bleck! I DID have carrots with ranch! I enjoyed it better than the wings! The UPside to this whole fiasco is the fact it cut the cals I ate Substantially! =)

Today is my 3rd down day! I made myself a slimfast shake with peanut butter(it's the fancy kind with coconut oil mixed in! SOO yummy!) for a late lunch and I'm make another one (with banana) for dinner. I think I'll add my Davinci's Peanut Butter syrup to it.. Finally have a reason to open it! =) It's got sugar in it, but I won't get crazy with the ammount. I ordered it months ago when I was DIE HARD LCing... I thought I bought SF PB... JOKE was on me!

I shopped today and got myself some SOdelicious Coconut Egg nog(I'm obsessed with coconut milk lately!) and SF caramel macchiato creamer! Buying coffee is TOOO rich for my pockets!

Back to JUDDD! I'm super happy I started this woe! I can ALREADY feel my body changing, my fat composition is different! My self esteem is heightened.. I feel in control of food. That is a freeing feeling.. It's something I always try to achieve! I HATE when food wins!

I've found that if I have a DD go to, that's simple and yummy, I'm stress free. When you go into battle with NO game plan, you are set up for failure. Well at least I am in this type of situation!

ALSO getting on the boards and talking(typing) it out. Being honest with the boards and my self help a lot.

Well... I won't be doing a banana in my shake again... It made my tummy hurt and I've had the worst burps! UUUGH!

I also got around to looking at the back of my Slimfast can....UHHHH

Can we say 22 SUGARS?!?!?!?!?! I ran to Walmart and got my self some whey protein powder! It's got 170 cals 2 sugars and 30 grams of protein! I'm working on getting some powdered peanut butter! Any suggestions?

I had a very gluttonous, but still within range of my cals allowed.. HOLY MOLY! I had two sandwiches (bologna, chips, mayo, must, and cheese) I REALLY over did it.... I'm used to eating that much (before the fasting)... I am uncomfortable and I'm so mad at myself! At least I know, for next time, that's too much! You would think a normal person would KNOW that's too much.. Not me. This is a learning experience for me and I'm taking my grade and moving on.

I went to church and had a great time back in choir. I forgot how BEAUTIFUL our new sanctuary looks! We also blessed quilts today to send over seas... They were probably 100 of them.. All colors. They colors were soo beautiful!

I've eaten today like I'm a football player carbloading for the big game. =) It's still within my cals so I'm ok!

Breakfast: Mcdonald's Chicken biscuit with cheese and hash brown. I planned this meal to be heavy! 549 calories

Lunch:2 balogna sandwiches on white bread... Now this is what I didn't plan bingeing on! This was a gut busting 806 calories! Embarrassing!

Dinner: We go out to eat on Sunday's as a family and tonight it chinese! I've done some research on low cal choices on the net and I am definitely going the seafood route(think shrimp, scallops). Either Shrimp with lobster sauce or some seafood with veggies. Planning on around 700 calories! My cal counter said 722!

My daily total is 2197

Is it sad that I'm excited that tomorrow is my dd? There is something SO freeing about the fact that I don't have to worry about food choices or cals.... I'm having my shakes and making my family dinner(which is preplanned). Soo tickled! I also know that (well let me say HOPE that) at the end of my dds I might be a little lighter than I was the day before. =D

My Whey Protein powder I bought is great! It tastes like a Wendy's frosty (with a little chalkiness).. I'm ok with the chalkiness though.. It's a diet supplement for goodness sakes! Not a dessert from a 5 star restaurant! I'm full and I feel satiated!

I'm up a few pounds, but I'm not worried about it.. I had enough salt to kill a horse! hahaha Not too mention the fat and sugar I consumed. =) I'm hoping for a weight loss tomorrow. =D

Well....My DD took a very wrong turn!

I was doing awesome, UNTIL I started watching "Eating American Food". It started out as a mighty entertaining thing to do... Then somewhere, it threw me into a triggered binge. I probably ate 600-700 cals more than my daily allowance. It could've been worse WAY worse! But I curb it as much as I could... It was weird! Like I was put into food auto-pilot. I can't even go into the pretty busy "cheat" thread in JUDDD, because it triggers me so bad. I don't know why I didn't think the videos would trigger me. Hmmmmm today is a new day! I'll be sure next DD will be video free. =D

I'm sorry you had that difficulty yesterday but as you say, today is a new day. I posit it was a valuable learning experience; you just found out that thinking too much about food/cooking can trigger cravings. You now know you should avoid watching things like cooking shows, at least until your current WOE becomes such an ingrained habit that you are no longer influenced by outside forces. I'm thinking of you Rebecca, and hoping you will have a great [and low carb] Tuesday.
