My "5StarChick" Journey

Right now, I'm a 4StarChick... Yes... I'm missing a "star"... I'm too FAT!

A little about me:
I've been heavier most of my life and always wished I could be slim. I was married many years to an athlete who ATE GOOD - and I ate good right along with him. No, that's no excuse, but it's the truth.

Unfortunately (well, FORTUNATELY), we're getting a divorce. So I've dropped 275lbs (him )... now, I need to drop about another 60lbs. and I'll be happy.

I started this journey back in April and have failed miserably. I started out this time weighing 225 and have managed to get down to 210.8 (my weight today). However, I had many unnecessary "mess-ups" along the way.

This week, I did an AWESOME job if I must say so myself - I've lost about 9lbs. already . Just hoping I can keep banging those pounds out until I reach goal.

I Atkins - it's the only plan that I've seen success with. Not only that, but I also have high energy and just feel better overall. People don't want to admit it, but excessive carbs are really BAD BAD BAD.

I will post my daily weight and food intake here to keep me motivated.

Feel free to post here if you'd like - I need all the support I can get.

Here are my daily weigh in numbers for this week:

My Goal for June is 205 (i BETTER make this! been doing challenges in the Daily Weigher Thread since April and have YET to meet my goal. lol)

Tuesday 6/1 - 219
Wednesday 6/2 - 217.2
Thursday 6/3 - 214.2 - let's hope I can keep this up!
Friday 6/4 - 213.2
Saturday 6/5 - 210.8 I am in SHOCK... stepped on the scale 3 times to make sure it wasn't broken!

Here's my daily food intake since June 1st... after typing this out, it looks like a LOT. But, it's all within my plan so I guess that's why I'm losing. Even though I am down today, I messed up a little last night (weekends are my weakness )

Tuesday 6/1 - coffee w/cream and splenda/2 scrambled eggs; turkey/cheese/lettuce/mayo wrap; 2 tilapia fried in butter/small salad w/ranch; 2 cream cheese muffins; pork rinds and spinach dip; 70ozs. of water.

Wednesday 6/2 - coffee w/cream and splenda/2 scrambled eggs; 2 tilapia fried in butter; bacon cheeseburger (no bun)/small salad; pork rinds and spinach dip; 2 cream cheese muffins; 70ozs of water.

Thursday 6/3 - Advantedge Zero Carb Strawberry shake; turkey/cheese/bacon/lettuce/mayo wrap; Wooshy Pie (ground beef/sausage/jalapenos/cream cheese/rotel scramble) w/pork rinds; 2 cream cheese muffins; 70ozs of water.

Friday 6/4 - Sausage patty/poached egg/piece of cheese; Advantedge Zero Carb Strawberry shake; Wooshy Pie and pork rinds; Steak/Caesar salad/2 rolls/sauteed mushrooms/brownie/ice cream sundae/diet coke; 40ozs of water.

I hate to cook too... that's why my meals are "quick and easy" which is another thing I like about this WOE. Most meals that you can have don't require a lot.
But I'm like you... the MICROWAVE is the preferred method.

We have the same goal, 160, and I bet you get there b4 I do! I've seen it happen!

I made turkey hot sausage and hubby hated it and my son said its ok. Not as good as regular. So, that's ok with me! More for me! LOL So I had a frozen lasagna I threw in for them to eat. Oh well....

Oooooh... was it Stouffer's lasagna? I bet that smelled soooo good! Haven't had one in years.
I don't know, you're a lot closer than I am to that 160... and the way I go up and down... but no, that rollercoaster is over... let's do this!

The title of your journal caught my attention. I agree with you, carbs are so bad for us, so why do I continue my affair with them. THERAPY! LOL Kudos to you for losing 9 pounds.

Speaking of going up and down... here's my status:

I won't even list my food intake for yesterday - it was bad. LOL
I'm up .8.

Will get right back on track today and hopefully break some records this week.

The last time I saw 208lbs., I was in college... which was a LONG LONG time ago!

Tuesday 6/1 - 219

Those carbs are addicting, aren't they? Its hard for me too! Yesterday was actually the 1st day in a while I stayed under 20 grams. Its tough.

As for your weight....just lood at the overall downward trend. You're doing so good! Don't beat yourself up. On the 1st you weighed 219 and today 211! That's 8 lbs gone! Not many ppl can do that! So YAY you!!!!
