The girls have went swimming but they said it was really cold. There is no way I am going yet. I had my heater on yesterday. It has been sooo cold for here. It even snowed on the mountain by our house the night before last. I hope my veggie and fruit plants survive.

Smart Tip: Six pack abs aren't about crunches. You CAN NOT spot reduce fat. The best way to get a washboard tummy is by burning the fat off on top of the muscle with a combination of diet, cardio, & over all core based functional training. For example try moves like mountain climbers, jumping jacks with high kicks, lunge with rotation etc. These moves are dynamic (burn lots of cals) & condition abs at the same time.

Unlimited Tip - The psychological, spiritual landscape of forgiveness is a tough one to navigate, but it’s a journey that yields powerful, permanent results. It enables us to stop taking on other people’s issues & allowing their shortcomings to define who we are. In other words, you'll understand that what happened to you wasn’t beca...use of your limitations, but the other person’s. Additionally, by learning to let go we gain complete freedom from the negativity we allow to fester when we hold onto grudges and wounds from the past. The energy we use up being angry, or fighting with people, hating people or otherwise feeling wronged, drains us physically & emotionally. When we open ourselves up & embrace forgiveness, we release ourselves from victimhood. We then can find psychological healing from past wounds & our lives can then take on new, positive meaning. By putting those old hurts in a context that helps us grow, rather than holds us back, we become unstoppable.

Menu for the day...

B~ 2 eggs scrambled with green peppers.. and a slice of cheese on top..

S~ Atkins bar

L~.. huge chef salad.. lettuce.. deli turkey.. a little sprinkle of cheddar cheese.. 1 egg.. tsp of real bacon bits.. mayo dressing that I make.. I am stuffed..
S~.. later.. Atkins shake

D.. Spinach Lasagna

recipe...Linda SueSPINACH LASAGNA
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons onion, chopped
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup spaghetti sauce
8 ounces cream cheese
1 egg
1/8 teaspoon pepper
10 ounces frozen chopped spinach, thawed & drained
4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese (I used the kind in a can)

Brown the hamburger with the onion; drain off the fat. Mix in the garlic powder and spaghetti sauce; season to taste and heat until bubbly. Meanwhile, soften the cream cheese in a medium-size microwaveable bowl for about 40-60 seconds. Stir until creamy; beat in the egg and pepper with a spoon until well mixed. Blend in the spinach. Spread half of the meat mixture evenly in the bottom of a greased, 8 x 8" glass baking pan. Spread the spinach mixture over the meat; top with the mozzarella, then the rest of the meat. It may not completely cover the top, but that's ok. Sprinkle with the parmesan cheese. Bake at 350º about 30 minutes until hot and bubbly. Or, cover with plastic wrap and vent one corner then microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes; then reduce to MEDIUM and cook for another 7-10 minutes until hot and bubbly. Let stand 3 minutes before serving.

Makes 6-9 servings
Can be frozen

Okay Ladies... I need ideas for my Cricut! I almost never use it, and have been disappointed with it since I first got it. But if I used it for fun stuff, I think I'd like it. Just have to get used to it, I guess. Suggestions please?

I was actually thinking of more specific ideas.... like, what items do you cut out? Which is your favorite cartridge?

When the tree hit our house, the sticky pad that you slide in got ruined. The sticky part was covered with sheet rock, pine needles and insulation. I bought a new pad, which is soooo sticky that the paper tears when I try to take the paper off after cutting. Need to figure that out, too.

Gotta run...BBL!
