Gracie's Going to Get Healthy!

Okay, I'm going to try posting again!

I am starting my journal of my weight loss journey. I am 37 years old and I had my third baby on May 4th of this year. When I left the hospital I weighted 242 nasty pounds. I low carbed down to around 214 and then started HCG about two weeks ago. I am now at 205.6 pounds and counting. I have about 10 days left of hcg and then my goal is to stabilize and maintain somewhere in onederland until the holidays are over. I am going to Daytona for Christmas and will be there for 11 days so I'll probably do another round of hcg in January. My goal then will be to reach 179 lbs. So right now my main focus is to get to onederland and then maintain that until the new year. Please feel free to comment or join me on my journey!

My menu today:

B: coffee/stevia
Snack: french vanilla tea/ honey-crisp apple
L: shrimp/cucumbers/melba toast
Snack: french vanilla tea/ honey-crisp apple (maybe an orange instead)
D: chicken breast/tomatoes/melba toast

After dinner I usually have some yummy herbal teas. I'm trying to find this chocolate tea that I keep hearing about!!!!

Okay, just wanted to vent over what stalled me last week - GARLIC SALT! I was really upset when I figured it out. The garlic salt I have has added high-fructose corn syrup and other fillers. To think that I was stalling due to a seasoning really gets my goat! I sprinkled it last week on everything I made - chili, grilled chicken, beef loin, shrimp - UGH. Oh well, live and learn I guess. But, I feel like I've lost an entire week. Oh well, hopefully I'll see a nice loss tomorrow!

I'm feeling good thanks! I wish you weren't so hungry on the hcg. I honestly never feel any hunger - forgot to eat lunch today until almost 2 o'clock! My round ends soon so I'll be following an induction type menu soon!

Well, I can't really complain, the scale went down 0.2# to 205.4. Today I am going to attempt the dreaded apple day. I've been stuck around 205-206 for 4-6 days and I'm tired of seeing it! I know the garlic salt totally messed with my numbers too. When I think of it, 207 seems to be a setpoint for me - I could never reallyget below it. So, maybe my body is fighting me! Anyway, I brought 4 big Honey Crisp apples with me and some cinnamon and stevia. Wish me luck!!!!

Girl the honey crisp are great! I had a big one when I did my steak day Monday! Red delicious is all I have now.
Gracie I am looking forward to this steak day. I am so use to eating so little eating three regular atkins style meals something I have to get back use to.

Thanks Loretta! Are you thinking about doing the protocol too? I read about it seriously for MONTHS before I took the plunge. I was pregnant last year but I kept reading about the diet. I started October 18th and I'm down 12.2 pounds today. My first round will be over next week and then I will work on stabilizing and maintaining until next year. I would LOVE to get into onederland before this round is over. I swear I haven't seen the 100's since my son was 1 year old - and he's 10 right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No I don't think so. It appears to be to expensive. Doesn't seem like something I would be interested in. But I see you and others are having good results with it.
