An Analysis of Me

It's been a long time, but I'm back. I'm coming back to something that I know works. A few years ago, I had gotten down to a size six and thought I was looking pretty good. My dh thought I looked pretty good too. Then of course, my mama asked me if I had been sick. She really didn't mean any harm. It's a southern thing- "We like 'em thick in the South" Well, I'm tired of being the thick chick. I kind of let life get in the way and I have slowly eased into a size 10.
I am ready to get back to my sixes. I am going to spend the next few days re-reading my Atkins book and getting my head together for this journey. I plan to start re-induction on Sunday. I have to get to the grocery store on Saturday. I really wanted to mark my place here and will try to update a little every day.

Today has been a rainy day. I was productive I cleaned my refrigerator and am good to go for the start of induction on tomorrow.
Personals

I am a busy mother of two wonderful girls. I am married to my college sweetheart. I have also decided to return to school to work on my master's degree. My girls play soccer, softball, and any other sport in season. Going back to school has been hard. It's been a long time since I have been a student. It seems as if I have a paper due every week.
Anyway, we are taking a family vacation this spring to Disney. I would love to slim down for that. And--dh's 20 year class reunion is coming up in the summer. I especially want to look good for that.

Hey lady. Welcome to journal land. Good for you on returning to what you know works. Your mom reminds me of my hubby's family. If you're too skinny, they think you're "poor" but if you're a bit chunky, you're living well. LOL They're from Mississippi.

Have a confession/correction to make to my first post. I bought a pair of jeans this weekend. I got them specifically to wear on Saturdays to the soccer field. Well, I bought size 12 jeans even though all my work pants are a 10. I supposed I should say that I am starting off in a 12 ---- cuz it's the jeans that count. . My overall goal is to eventually get down to a size 6. Hopefully I can get down to a baggy size 10 by Thanksgiving.

Got off to a rocky start yesterday. I worked out and ate well all day. Until I home after class. Yesterday was dh's birthday. I ate a piece of cake. It's best to be honest. I messed up the first day.

Soon as I started, I hit a wall. My computer has been in the shop so I was unable to post. My truck broke down. I started studying for mid-terms and started nibbling. TOM showed up. Depressed about truck and computer, nervous about test - made bad choices. But I am back. Been on track so far this week. I also started a new kettlebell program. I will be down a size by Thanksgivng.
