Good morning!!! I'm doing much, much better...thanks I am sure, in no small way, to the prayers all of my friends have offered up for me!

I am eating on plan and will attempt today to get back to tracking better....or tracking at all for that matter.

Vern and I have been reading scripture together in the mornings since our big blow-out....something I have wanted for a long time and am very grateful for...but it does take away from my time on line...which I am more than happy to sacrifice for the cause of strengthening our relationship...both with Christ and with each other!

Ok...I'm at work so I'd better get some work done.

I just finished a bowl of "Maggie"s Cereal" with 2 tbs of sliced almonds added to it. I'm dinking a big ol mug of coffee with cream and I am pretty content this morning...and...It's Friday!!!!!

Remember there are bound to be some back slides as Vern and you reestablish your joint and individual roles in this relationship dymanic.

What a great report Vickie!! 2big is right....there can be stumbling blocks pop up but you are in the right frame of mind to handle it all!

I'm sorry to be MIA...I am ok. I'm eating low carb...Vern and I are doing ok....I don't know why I have been so reluctant to be on the internet...I'm in a weird mood...maybe I'm crazy..LOL

i got my flu shot yesterday and I am feverish and headachy...yuck

Hi VickieI'm so glad you're doing ok I'm still waiting for my swine flu shot then I have to wait 1 month for the reg flu shot so now I make my own coffee and take it where ever I go, no eating out till i get the shots take care and I hope you post more often

good for you getting your shot. It is dead virus so you are not getting the flu just your body getting your immune system going so you don't come down with those viruses this yr.

Glad you and Vern are doing so well.

Just keep doing it every day and soon you will have a wholse string of good eating days to go with your improved relationship with God and Vern.

Hi Vickie!! Sorry I have not been around to support you....work is crazy!!!
Flu shot....I'm avoiding them like the plague......scary stuff in those shots....you should pack your injection site with ice as soon as possible! It's best to do the ice pack immediately after the shot and also place a lemon slice over the injection site...it lessons the toxins that get into your blood and brain.

Glad Vern and you are doing ok.....did you go to counseling?

Eating on plan? Look who's talking! LOL!!! I'm eating on plan....no cheats at all but my portions are the big problem for me again...stress eating! I know what to do thank God!!

So...I had to go waaay back to find my old journal and dust it off! A lot has happened since I last posted here and hopefully I'll have time to catch up one day soon. But for now I'll just start by saying I've been doing Weight Watchers for the past few months. I've lost 36 pounds (almost 37) and I am feeling better about myself and my relationship with food than I have in a very long time.

I'm sitting in my car in the parking lot at the gym sipping the coffee I brought with me to drink after my walk. I just finished 70 minutes on the treadmill. 530 calories burned. Yay!!! Now to get ready for work.

Oh hey...that's one big change that's happened since the last time I was posting here. We bought the business I worked at for the past 15 years. We have been business owners for almost a year now.

I have no idea what kind of business it might be, but I certainly hope it's doing well for you in this economy. Although THEY say things are starting to improve economically now, so onward and upward.

Glad to hear you're doing the gym and doing so well with your weight - exercise and losing excess weight really does seem to improve everything.

Thanks! It's a small embroidery business. We embroider logos for businesses, schools, sports teams, etc. We also do individual monogramming. Funny thing...the downturn in the economy is one of the reasons we bought the business. We still do well enough to support my husband and myself but we could no longer support 3 families...so my boss left to go do something else, our production guy moved away, and we bought the business and are working it ourselves. It's been quite an experience so far!

Ok, so maybe you're not planning on it ever getting quite that big.
