Thanks so much for the kudos ladies!!! I am proud for not using the retreat as an excuse to eat cr@p! But honestly, I really wasn't even tempted. I was satisfied with the foods I ate.

good to know you are still doing your plan and doing well cause one thing I have learned is when low carbers go quiet there is a hazardous toxic high carb attack going on at their location and the rescue squad needs to be called out in force.

Ha! That's usually the case with me too! But this time it's really just a matter of me trying to reprioritize my time during a crazy busy season at work...and trying to spend a good devotional time in the mornings...and trying to walk consistently after dinner...and trying to spend time with my hubby..

sheesh! There just needs to be more hours in the day!

OK..it's Monday and weigh in day. I am up slightly from last week.. (.6) of a pound. That tells me that I REALLY do need to track and measure EVERYTHING for a while. I thought I could get away with not doing it (it's so time consuming) but apparently that's not the case for me right now. So today it's back to being diligent about tracking and journaling.

On a positive note...I haven't touched anything that would be considered "off-plan",.....I have however indulged in some nuts and other tricky low carb snack type foods. No more nuts....no more cream cheese for a while....Oh yeah... I know what I need to do...now to do it!

sounds like a plan. I'm always amazed at the nonmeasuring folk who eyeball it and how they swear thier portions never grow.

I eyeballed a salad the other day and the bag said 4 but I only got 3 bowls worth oops. good thing it was pre eating measured and not no salad on day 3 of induction.

Ok..I did it! I measured and tracked every bite that went into my mouth!

Pre breakfast:
2 cups coffee with 1 tbs cream in each

Breakfast:

"Maggie's Cereal" a recipe from another LC site;
1/4 cup flax seed meal
1/4 cup unprocessed wheat bran
2tbs protein powder
dash of stevia and cinnamin.

Add hot water until it's the consistency of hot cereal and enjoy

Lunch:
1 cup mixed greens
1/2 baby cucumber sliced
topped with;
Salmon salad 1/2 recipe (1 small can salmon, 2 tbs mayo, 2tbs chopped onion, 1 small baby pickle)

Dinner:
2 Roasted chicken thighs
Salad made with spinach leaves, 5 grape tomatoes, 2 tbs feta cheese, 1 tbs flax seed oil.
"Fettucini" Alfredo made with shirataki noodles, sour cream butter, parmesan cheese, a cream. ( I measured all this stuff and it's on my ******)

After dinner....walked 3 miles, medorate pace 1 hour.

Ugghhh...confession...I had a collision with some peanut M&Ms that Vern brought into our house (bad, bad husband!) and I came out the loser. I had an awkward and uncomfortable conversation with my sister that didn't go very well....no excuse but that's what happened....I ate a handful of M&Ms....I am sick to my stomach and feeling pretty crappy this morning.

Today is a new day...onward....

Ugh, yeah, that'd do it.

It will get easier to stay away from the absolute no-no's, the longer you stick with LC. I'm at the point now that even eating a non-berry unsweetened fruit is way too sweet for my palate.

That doesn't keep me from eating too many LC treats though - somehow my sense of taste differentiates between artificial sweeteners and sugars, and I can really load up on LC recipe foods sweetened w/stevia or splenda. And things like nuts or pork rinds... well, I should never even give in andbuy them in the first place.

I guess it really comes down to being a compulsive overeater, even though I"ve lost my taste for sugary/starchy foods.

I really did stop at a handful...so I must be devloping better habits, right? Even as I was eating them I knew they were going to make me sick...much like one knows that getting drunk will result in a hangover...how dumb is that!? Yesterday I was dragging and feeling yucky all day. Eating crap makes me sooo tired!

so...

Breakfast:
Maggies Cereal
2 cups coffee with HWC

Lunch: (Crazy busy day)
The innards from 2 Wendy's 99cent double stack burgers...
basically, 4 miniature hamburger patties, with a couple of slices of dill pickle and a couple of tiny little onion slices.

Dinner/snack (on the way out the door after work):
a small serving, maybe 2 oz of chicken salad
10z cheese
1/2 avocado

Snack when I got home:
2 oz tri tip roast
1tbs butter/1tbs peanut butter mixed

I know my calories are sort of high for yesterday but it is what it is...LOL

Hi Linda...

So...I am in a foul mood...and that' is all I have to say today. I am eating on plan....I don't know how to track the dinner I had last night. My sister made it..it was a chili relleno casserole that was ortega chilies, cheese, egg and cream. It was rich and it was good. I had a small slice, I am back in ketosis after the M&M incident. That's it....I'm glad it's Friday...I hate my job today and I'm not so thrilled with my husband either...

well you could move your ****** calander forward a day and then enter ther ingredients in the entire thing and estimate your serving size and then open a new ****** window turn back the calander to yesterday and enter the values for the entire dish as a custom food. figure your amount as say 1/12th or 1/8th of the entire thing and then you will have theat good tasting yummy dish on your ****** for the next time.

You did tell her how muchg you enjoyed it and get the recipe didn't you???

oh and be sure to delete that calander forward days entrees so you don't panic tomorrow when you see your totals.

you xan also poach the vits and minerals for the dish by going to the nutrtional reports for that day before you delete it and everything for the day will be what is in the dish.

see nice and easy add a recipe custom food to ******

Ahh 2big...right you are. I often do that in ****** to input my recipes and then save them as custom foods. I don't have the recipe for the casserole yet. I asked my sister to send it to me. But so far I don't have it.

I am eating low carb.My keto stix are purple, my breath is ketone laced, but I am not being good about tracking. I am in a funk right now. Things are not good between hubby and I...in fact I told him this weekend that we either get some counseling or I am done. It's a hard time for me.

Thanks for the hug 2big....I appreciate you. You are right...one thing I can control is my food intake!

Today I had some bacon for breakfast. Then I had a chicken leg later in the day. Then I had some BLT lettuce wraps for dinner...bacon, tomato slices and mayo wrapped in a lettuce leaf...oh my goodness it was good. I am on a bacon kick today...and I rarely eat bacon.

I tweaked my back somehow and it hurts really bad. It is spasming and my leg is cramping up. i just took a muscle relaxer and washed it down with a vodka/diet 7up...looks like I'm gonna sleep tonight!

knock knock you awake?
stress can cause some nasty muscle spasms from the tension and chemicals it creats. do some slow exercise every day like a gentle walk to use up those bad for you chemicals and generate some good for you chemicals during this time

Hey Vickie....feeling better? Sorry to hear about your pain...physical and mental. Did hubby listen to you? Counseling is a good idea....I know a lot of people that have gotten great help with the right person. I'll pray that Vern will want to go with you.
Are you still on plan? You sure are doing a great job!! Yes you are! I'm really proud of you!
How are things going with your sis?
My mind is just in a fog about Amy and her family too.....it's just too much.
So...you hate your job too? LOL!!! Come on Vickie!!! We can take all of this on and come out stronger...you know? Yes we can! AND we can do it without turning to food for comfort!
Is there anything I can do to help?

Hey everyone...I'm here

Thanks so much for the support and prayers and kind words. Once I made the decision that divorce simply cannot be an option for me, and prayed for God to help me to be willing to be molded and shaped by the circumstances...(as opposed to just throwing a fit out of frustration)...well, I'm more at peace than I have been in days.

So..I have been simply eating very low carb. I haven't had the desire or discipline to track but I'm just eating low, low carb...like induction. Now that things are settling down I'll be geting back to tracking again.

Thanks again for being such great support for me!

control what you can ( your eating ) and it seems as if control comes to other parts of life too.

Don't you love how God acts even when we think he isn't caus ewe are too out of control to hear it?
