Never heard of a body makeover. I'll check it out.
KISS = Keep It Simple Sweetie KISS - The Lowcarb Way - Guidelines You stick with basics, meat, veggies, fats, cheese is it doesn't stall you. Most avoid it while doing this though. No frankenfoods, no as. It works, not easy to do but it works. Lots of times when the weight isn't coming off this kick starts it. Plus it gives you a chance after doing it awhile to add things back slowly and find out whats been stalling you. Last edited by dixiegal; 08-13-2009 at 10:06 AM.. |

I read a post on the boards about someone sticking to plan for over 5 months and losing nothing and all of a sudeen she dropped from size 8 to a size to 2 practically overnight she said it was like her body was storing for months and all of a sudden just let go, theres hope for us all, ive heard alot of similar experiences.

Thank you both for your advise and encouragement. I will definitely check out KISS. I was thinking I might need to do something like that anyway. All meat and veggies, no dairy. So, if there is already a cut and dry plan, that will certainly help.

Well, I did some research today and decided that on Monday, I am going to start VLC. Thank you Dixie for the KISS suggestion, that is what lead me to VLC. I will plan mostly meat and a few veggies. I am going to get rid of all sugar free sweetener as well as all dairy except butter. If I succeed on this, then I will slowly try to add back more veggies, some dairy, etc until I figure out what is stalling me. If this doesn't work, then I know something is definitely wrong and I will plan to see the Dr. in a few weeks.

Thank you Dixie and Tempted. I can always count on you for encouragement.
This weekend has been pretty good. I haven't watched my carbs quite as well as I was, but have still been pretty good. Tomorrow I will start VLC, mostly meat and very few veggies. I hope to eventually be able to add veggies and some dairy back in, but I have to figure out what is stalling my loss. I will plan my meals a day in advance so that I can stay on plan. I told DH he is going to be doing a lot of grilling for me this week. Tomorrow I will have chicken salad with a little mayo and a tiny bit of onion and celery, hamburgers with mayo and a ribeye steak for dinner. I plan to drink only water. Wish me luck! |

klittle, How did today go for you? Its a good idea to plan meals ahead like that I have never been good at doing that. I plan one thing and by supper time I'm tired to cook that or have changed my mind about what I want

Dixie, today went really well. I stuck to my plan. The only thing I had besides meat was three small slices of tomato with my hamburger patties. Amazingly, I didn't feel nearly as hungry today has I have been. So maybe it is really working.
I'm bad about planning ahead too. However, I find with just eating the meat, I have to. It is too hard to just grab something. |

Well yesterday was a good eating day. I didn't really get hungry until lunch. I did however crave sweet really bad in the evening. I really hope that goes away soon. I so badly wanted to fix cream cheese and splenda or something, but I'm trying to stay away from AS as much as possible.
BF - Water L - Grilled Chicken w/ mayo and celery seed (Grilled chicken salad) S - started craving sugar so I had coffee with cream and 2 splenda D - 3 small hamburger patties w/ cheese, mayo, mustard and a few grilled onions H2O - at least 100 ozs. |

Today has been awesome!! For the first time since I've been LCing, I haven't just "had" to have sweets of some kind. I wasn't constantly thinking about what concoction I could come up with that would still be considered LC.
I have also felt really full all day. Meals: BF: coffee with cream and SF DaVinci L: two chicken breast with mayo for dipping. D: NY strip with garlic butter. I'm going to LOVE this WOE if it works like this all of the time. |

Today was a pretty good day. It was a great day hunger wise, as I didn't really feel that hungry or have any cravings all day. Food wise, was ok. I work for a school district and today was our big meeting before the start of school next week. The district bought pizza for all the employees. So, since that was the only choice, I had the toppings only off a couple of pieces. It probably wasn't too many carbs, but I have been trying to stay away from cheese. I also had about 1/4 can of diet coke, which I haven't had all week either. Dinner was good, a NY strip with garlic butter.
The good news is that I show I'm down 4 lbs. since Monday. I was up on Monday to 267, this morning was 263. Yea!!! I really hope it keeps working!!! |

TY Dixie
Yesterday was a good day. I need to go grocery shopping though because there aren't many meat choices in the frig. Yesterday mid-morning I had a can of tuna with mayo, a tiny bit of onion, and celery seed. Tuna isn't my favorite, but it filled me up. Dinner was three grilled all beef hotdogs dipped in mustard with a couple of slices of chipotle jack cheese. Total carbs for the day was 7. I like to stay under 5 but as long as I'm under 10 I don't beat myself up. I didn't get a chance to weigh until yesterday afternoon and showed I was down another 1.5 pounds. I really hope this keeps up. Total this week is 5.5 since Monday, I hope it sticks. |

Today went pretty good. I didn't have anything but water until dinner, I wasn't really hungry. That is one thing I love about this WOE is that I don't find that I'm starving all the time.
D - Top sirloin, grilled with garlic butter sauce for dipping I did end up having 1 LC icecream bar. DH and DD were having shakes, and it started my cravings. The LC icecream bar was 4 net carbs, so hopefully that won't stall me. We'll see tomorrow. I've been losing pretty regurally now, so if I don't show a loss tomorrow, I'll know why. Down .5 today. Yea!! I'll take every little bit I can get. |

TY Tempted. Yes, it's the best feeling in the world when you have a loss. I told DH yesterday, I'm getting tired of steak, steak, steak (never thought I would say that, LOL). But who cares, I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing as long as it works.
I haven't weighted yet today. I did have coffee with HWC and splenda this morning. I don't know if its because I haven't had any for several days, or just that my body isn't use to the caffine anymore since I stopped drinking Diet Coke, but now I feel all shakey and jittery. I don't like it. Might have to stop the coffee. Oh well, I was never a big coffee drinker anyway, but I found that it filled me up in the morning and allowed me to eat less frequently. I wasn't really hungry this morning, I'm finding I can only eat once a day now, which is great... but DH was having coffee with his breakfast so I decided to join him. Besides, it made turning down those yummy cinnamon rolls he and the kiddos were eatting much easier. ![]() Dinner tonight is going to be slow roasted pork loin that is finished on the grill... yum!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!! |

I have never drank coffee ever, like the smell but just never did, If you need a hot drink try green tea, hopefully you will have no jitters with that, cant wait to see what you have lost in a whole week, you doing so great and this is working brillantley for you, that beach body seems more a reality now that the weight is shifting!!! Bet your so pleased!

TY Dixie and Tempted. I never did get a chance to weigh yesterday. I felt off all day. I don't know for sure if it was the coffee, but I will definitely be staying away from it now. Tempted, green tea is a good idea, I will have to get some.
Yesterdays meals: B - Coffee with HWC/Splenda S - Turkey pepperoni D - Pork loin with spicy mayo for dipping This morning I am down to 259!! Yea - I'm out of the 260's!!! That makes 8 lbs. total for the week. I'm so happy that I finally found something that works, I hope it keeps working!! ![]() |
