LALA....congratulations on 148!!!! Holy god that's awesome. You go girrrill!! (in an a-rab accent)
K did you give your recipe to your french onion dip in this thread somewhere? If not, please do tell. I usually just mix sour cream w/ a lipton french onion packet but if you have something fancier, share!!!!! You're really inspiring btw. I will be better today on the freaking diet because of you, ms. lalalala. ![]() At the moment, i'm totally nauseous and drinking persian cardamon tea and thinking of what kind of breakfast I'm going to eat when the nausea subsides. ttys |

As for the recipe, I just made this up so I didn't measure anything. I just kept mixing and adding until it tastes how I want. I used to go to this Mediterranean type store around here and buy Lebne, but recently I found a nice brand at Rainbow Grocery that I'm sticking wiht (if you've never been here, we NEED to go at some point...no joke!). So I mix the lebne, with lots of garlic salt (I could use roasted garlic but I get lazy), and I purchase a bunch of dried onions and chives in bulk at Rainbow and stir those in and let it sit for several hours while they kinda rehydrate and the flavors blend. I may add a bit of lemon juice but usually the flavor is good enough. It is super thick (thicker than greek yogurt) and has a great flavor. I don't purchase the Liptons packets b/c if I remember correctly there is either wheat in it (which I can't have), MSG, or some type of starch so I try to avoid that. Plus, this mix works for me and it's a lot cleaner since the ingredients are minimal. Try it out and let me know how you like it ![]() Great job on the diet! It's hard at first to get momentum again after going off plan, but just stick to it and don't get off track. I hope you got rid of all that chocolate you bought too. Yum, and I love both cardamom and earl gray tea! And for breakfast...hmm?? I know when I feel sick, I don't want eggs or anything too heavy. Do you have plain yogurt? I love to mix it with a bunch of lemon juice and some equal. It tastes so good and it's lighter in my stomach. Otherwise, how about a protein shake / egg creme type thing? I hope you feel better and have a good day!

YUM!!!
Just found this recipe to make for the future..... I'm such a foodie it's ridiculous. I seriously love talking about food, cooking it (even if it's things I can't or won't eat), baking and shopping for it. Eggplant and Peppers with Feta : Appetizer : Recipes | emerils.com |

- cucumber and cherry tomatoes - baked salmon fillet topped with olive oil and cooked w/ lemon juice, oregano, salt and pepper. YUM!! Exercise: 5 miles elliptical I spent the rest of the evening trying to clean out my room. I seriously have so much clothes it's not even funny. I knew I had to get rid of some, especially because I wear the same things pretty often and fully neglect like ninety percent of what I have. So far I've packed 7 hefty garbage bags filled with clothes to take to goodwill. I'm excited to have more space now ![]() |

OH Yeah. Holy ****, can't believe I forgot this.
So I have about 30 pairs of jeans (gross...I know). I'm getting rid of a lot of them but of course I try everything on just to see how it looks. Well I have a pair of size 7/8 jeans from Express (non-stretchy) that I tried on and they fit!!! All my other smaller pants are a size 9 and I wasn't able to go down to a smaller size because I thought my hips were so big, but it was actually fat I'm pretty sure that I won't ever get lower than a size 7 size my hips without too much fat are obviously still really wide. That's all I wanted to say. |

Awww man, long day!!
So today was the first day of my Fall classes. Long story short...it sucked. But the first day is over so I can only be happy for that. ![]() I have been super congested and have had a runny nose all day since last night due to all the sifting and sorting of clothes which started up my allergies. I just took some medication for that so hopefully that'll wear off soon because it got old fast! After class today, I went straight to the gym to get something done. Since I felt like crapola, I just did a 4 mile power walk on the treadmill and got out of there. Then I met up with my bf on his lunch hour from work so I got to see him a bit and that was nice. Since I've gotten home, I'm just trying to sell/order my old/new books to get that business in order. I also need to fill out my request to graduate at the end of the semester and that BS is like 10 pages. Food: I've been starving like a mofo all day. Don't know what the deal is but I feel like no matter how much I eat I am not getting full!! I actually watched a segment last week about a woman who had a disease that didn't allow her neurotransmitters to register a full feeling therefore she was constantly in search of food. She was in her 30's or 40's still living at home and her family had locks on everything that stored food. She said she'd even been caught stealing food at the store. Did anyone else see this? Thankfully, I am able to get full regularly but today that doesn't seem to be the case ![]() -omelet made with: garlic infused olive oil, onions, baby bella mushrooms, 4 huge cherry tomatoes (I swear they were each the size of a plum), fresh parsely, 3 eggs and tons of goat cheese (maybe 2 oz?). -2 ounces raw almonds and 2 huge pickles -leftover salmon filet from last night plus a huge salad made with romaine lettuce, 4 more huge cherry tomatoes, 1/2 a bell pepper, 1/3 of an avocado, more goat cheese, red wine vinegar and tons of salt. YUM!! I don't know what I'm going to be eating later but I'm already hungry right now and I feel like I don't have much food here and it concerns me. I get scared when I'm not fully stocked with the foods I normally eat. (I said I'm weird!). I'll go to TJ's tomorrow but I need something tonight so I'll update that later. Oh also, I fell today I'm super clumsy, uncoordinated, and just really kinda like flimsy. I get hurt so easily and I honestly have to be really careful. Well I tripped pretty bad and fell and my dumbo boyfriend was like 10 feet in front of my looking out for cars so we could cross the road and he saw none of it. Some other guy actually helped me up Funny thing is my bf still had no idea it had happened until I walked up to him and slapped his arm for not being aware of his surroundings. But, I survived another one and I'm ok. No wonder why my trainer said I'm not very graceful ![]() |

Another long day, but thankfully the worst is over.
My lecture/lab class began today and we were there forever. Since when do students actually do work on the first day, let alone a lab? I have to learn a new (to me) chemical manipulation program for this course and we have a report based on its analysis for Monday. So although I don't have that particular class for the rest of the week, I'll be going into the lab just to spend some time getting more accustomed to it and working on this lab. I just got back from TJ's. I felt like the store was wiped out because I couldn't find some of the things I wanted. I did buy eggs (I had none ), tongol tuna, mushrooms, romaine hearts, and ....I forget but there was 2 more things ![]() I didn't sleep so good last night so I'm very tired, and I still have a lot of cleaning and packing of the stuff in my room. Does anyone want to just come take all my clothes so I can start fresh? ![]() Ironically, I don't feel like I have much of an appetite which is very different from yesterday. Food so far: -tuna w/ again too much mayo (I get so excited that I keep throwing globs of it on there and then it ends up being too like gooey )-I'll be making a salad shortly w/ romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, avocado, red bell pepper, roasted chicken, goat cheese, red wine vinegar, lots of salt and probably a pickle ![]() I'll update the rest later. |

![]() A couple hours after that I decided I HAD to have almonds. And I needed them tonight! So I got dressed, jumped on the train to Walgreens and searched for almonds. They had every other kind of nut but almonds Then I found the Blue Diamond flavored kinds. I usually don't buy those unless it's just the plain, salted or maybe the smokehouse. Well all they had was salt and vinegar flavor or wasabi and soy. I bought salt and vinegar. I love them cause they are salty and I clearly love salt, but I prefer the raw natural ones. So I'm munching on a package of those right now too ![]() I need to get to bed early cause I have class first thing in the morning. Have a good night ![]() |

Okay! I'm all caught up!
I hope you didn't get any bruises/owies from that fall. I get bruises ALL OF THE TIME that I cannot explain. When people ask where they came from I just say I was "building a trebuchet" and they're like WTH? Shoot, I have no idea where it came from so I might as well blame something cool. I've been crazy hungry this week too, it's nuts! I hope your lab thing goes well. ![]() Have a nice day! OOH I got an eggplant! ![]() |

![]() Ya I got a bruised knee and a stubbed toe but it was nothing compared to past occurrences. Luckily, since most of my scars/bruises are on my legs no one else see's them but my boyfriend since I'm always wearing pant and he knows how I got them so I don't have the chance to come up with a witty response I hope you love the eggplant too! And I say we eat as much as we need to this week as long as we stay on plan and hopefully our hunger will eventually even out (I'm hoping this will be the case!). |

I feel like all I want all day is tons of salt
I crave it so much it's crazy. So I've tried to eat meals to fulfill that and it's still a nagging craving. Food: - The most beautiful and largest omelet EVER: pan coated w/ garlic infused olive oil, then I cooked some onions, added about 3/4 c of mushrooms, tons of cherry tomatoes, red bell pepper, lots of fresh parsely, 3 eggs. Then I topped it with lots of fresh goat cheese and an avocado. I put lots of salt on this too and it was amazing. I seriously inhaled this thing. -2 hb eggs, cheese stick, a pint of cherry tomatoes and 5 pickles I would have eaten more pickles if I had them but I ate all I had ![]() I'm going to CHIPOTLE tonight!! ![]() ![]() Highlight of my day. I'll update more later. |

Woke up early with a bad stomach ache
I haven't forced myself to eat my food while not feeling hunger in a long time so that's probably why I feel so ill. So that's NOT happening again. Anyways, i have tons to do today plus I need to help bf and his mother out a lot so I'll be super busy. Plus it's his last night here in SF so I need to spend time with him since I won't be seeing him for about a month or so ![]() Food wise, I'm probably going to have tuna and mayo in a couple hours when my tummy settles, then take it easy for the day since we're going out to a restaurant tonight for dinner. Have a great day everyone and don't stuff yourself with food b/c it doesn't feel good Also, just posting this to remind myself that within the next 1-2 weeks I'll need to be putting up more progress pictures. |

Hi there,
I'm beat after a very long 36 hours. I've been helping bf pack, store, carry, load, and clean all his junk, so it's been a lot of work. Well, sadly he took off this evening. It was hard to say bye since I won't see him for about a month. Even though we talk like 30 times a day sometimes for over long durations of time, it's just sad to not have his so close to me. He really is my best friend and it broke my heart to see his eyes well up with tears when we were saying bye So on to food stuff...yesterday I had this Quote:
Today food was weird. Since bf and I stayed in his apartment and everything was pack I couldn't cook anything and we were on a time schedule so I didn't want to go out and buy anything so I had to find something in all his junk food to eat... -3-4 TBSP of peanut butter -CHIPOTLE burrito bol w/ lots of guacamole and salsa -hb egg -3 oz almonds I'm not hungry right now but if I want something else I'll munch on some persian cucumbers ![]() Edited to add: I just ate 2 persian cucumbers w/ salt since talking about them made me want them :P I'm off to read the boards then I'll head to bed. ![]() I noticed I do this more at night so I think I should just try to turn off my computer and go to sleep but sometimes I just don't want to do that just yet I think I have a pretty good handle on things most of the time, but I know how small amounts of sugar affect me, and I really feel like it was the sweetness in the carrots I was craving (as weird as that sounds). So solution #1: buy no more carrots or when I do want them, buy a few of the loose kind instead of a couple lb bag. Do you happen to notice a trend in regards to the time of day you consume a lot or a pattern with specific feelings (anxiousness, loneliness, etc.)? If so maybe you can come up with ways to avert the situation so we don't both end up as fat lumps on logs because we want to eat everything ![]() |

I hear you on the timing of bad-eating. I tend to eat bad things at night which is why I usually try to not eat after dark....I go as far as taking a sleeping pill at like 10 if I still don't feel sleepy. The longer I stay awake, the more hungry I get and the worse the bingeing will be....but I'm extreme like that. I think if you keep the foods you eat at night to extremely low calorie raw veggies and hot tea then it won't be so bad.

Quick update:
Just got back from the gym, I did 4 miles on the elliptical. Seriously, that workout was like pulling teeth. Thankfully I did it, it's over, and I can move on with my day ![]() Food so far: -cup of coffee w/ sf creamer Quote:
I don't know what i'll be eating later. I have tons of eggs since bf gave me all his before he left, and I already had 2 dozen of my own so now I'm packing like 5 dozen eggs Sadly, I don't have any meat. I mean, I have a couple cans of tuna but I've already eaten some this week and I don't like to eat too much of it. I also have like 2 of these frozen turkey patties that are but I may be able to get creative with them. If not then I'll be having EGGS!!! |

So to finish off the night, I just made the most awesome dinner ever.
I roasted a very large portobella mushroom cap w/ some tomato slices, baby bella slices, red bell pepper and purple onion in some olive oil and salt. Then I took one of those nasty turkey patties and cooked it with some garlic. I crumbled it and put it in about 1/3 to 1/2 cup tomato sauce with some parsely, garlic, oregano and salt. I piled this mixture onto the large portobella mushroom cap with the roasted veggies listed above and topped it with lots of mozarella cheese and put it back in the oven for a bit. It was soooooooooo freaking good. YUM!!! and while it was cooking I ate 2 persian cucumbers with salt ![]() I'm off to shower in a bit and try to finish up this dumb report I have due at 8 am ![]() Have a good night everyone! |
