My weekend was because of some stuff going on right now.

Sounds like you had fun at the co-op! I really need to find a local farmers market to go to here. I looooove veggies! I have a little patio garden and can't wait until I have some stuff I can pick! Oh gosh my little garden.

I think I might need to start up a blog like yours one of these days, just to keep myself on track and distracted from the aggravations of trying to get healthier/lose weight/etc..

I hope you have a great day!

Awww misslatte, hopefully you can get your stuff worked out soon so you stop having bad weekends

I love the food co-op. There are so many in SF but so far the one I went to yesterday was the best. I get so excited at the thought of going there. I'm a nerd

And I'm so jealous of your garden. I'd love to be able to plant my own vegetables but unfortunately my living situation (w/ roommates) doesn't allow for that right now. What do you have planted? I would plant some tomatoes, squash, bell peppers, cucumbers, as well as a fig tree Although, it would probably be forever before I got something to grow!

Having a journal is fun, but sometimes it feels like I'm talking to myself. Overall, it is good since I am able to go back and look at my progress. I'd visit your journal if you started one

My day has already started out great. Although I went to bed at 2 and woke up at 7 due to nightmares of this dumb wedding I need to go to this weekend, I checked my email and saw that my class was canceled today hahah that made my day!!!

I'm off to eat breakfast soon. I hope you have a wonderful day also misslatte. Cheer up!!!

CONGRATS!! woohooo
thank you. And wow, I've never heard of chocolate mint before. I'll have to look that up. You may see me crouching in your garden some day eating up all your cucumbers and tomatoes since they seem to may their way into my daily eats with every meal :P

I just got back from the gym. I did 6 miles on the elliptical. I wasn't going to go because I got lazy but I'm so glad I did.

Then I went to the library to get a new novel to read. Got home a bit ago and just checked in for my flight tomorrow.

Food so far:
-egg salad (3 eggs w/ a bit too much mayo :\ )
-cup of coffee w/ cream
-about 1/2 Cup almonds (maybe more? it was at least 2 servings but not more than 3)
-2 of those huge pickles from yesterday

I'll be making a huge salad in a bit when I get more hungry. I have lots of things I need to eat up tonight and tomorrow morning before i leave for my flight I'll update the rest of my food later.

So I wasn't even hungry at all but I felt like I needed to eat not only because I didn't eat much today, but more so because I have tons of food I need to eat before tomorrow.

I had 2 large handfuls of grape tomatoes and a persian cucumber
then I made a huge salad w/ lots of butter lettuce, onions, salsa, ranch dressing, colby jack, another cucumber and more and more of those grape tomatoes. I feel like I'm going to pop now.

Sadly, my day took a bad turn a few hours ago when I found out my mom randomly got sick today and was admitted to the ER. She will be having surgery to remove her gallbladder hopefully tomorrow. Luckily, I'm going home tomorrow, but this puts a big damper on everything that's going on this weekend. Please pray that everything goes well and that she gets better soon thanks

I may or may not be back here tomorrow since I will be trying to wake up early to hit up the gym before class. Once class is over, I'm planning on heading to another dress shop to see if I can find anything here. Then I'll be returning home to grab my bags and be off to the airport.

Everyone have a safe weekend. Misslatte...please try to have lots of fun this weekend to make up for the lack of it last weekend

Hi girls,

I got back last night after returning from my trip which was supposed to be short but my mother got worse and had to stay in the hospital longer so I extended my stay at home for an extra week. I missed about 2 weeks of class and in a condensed summer session that amounts to like 2 months of class. After I returned last night I was up all night studying b/c I had to take a make-up exam today and the final exam. Needless to say I'm beat and I have no food in the fridge so I am debating on whether to take a nap first or go get food.

I'll be back later to give more details. I hope everyone else is doing well and thanks for stopping by my journal.

Thanks for your concern my friend. My mother is doing better now. It is scary, I didnt want to leave her even though my dad was there. I just felt so bad so I extended my trip and it turned out well since I was able to be there for both her and my dad and spend more time with them. I hope you're doing well.

Hi misslatte, she's doing better now. She had her surgery then there were a lot of other complications involved so she had to stay in the hospital for longer than expected but she's at home recovering now.

Thanks for keeping my journal warm.

The wedding was nice. I wore this dress that was very tight on me. Skin tight actually. It was a size 6. That made be happy but I don't think I looked that good in it. Considering the circumstances, it did it's job and I don't have to wear it again so that's a good thing

So my quick update from my trip home to Chicago:

well it was nice seeing my family and all but sad with the whole situation of my mother getting sick. I spent a lot of time at home in front of the tv. I ate a lot. Besides eating real foods, I snacked a lot in between meals with greek yogurt or kefir cheese, cucumbers w/ salt and vinegar and lots and lots of salted nuts. There were also a couple of nights that I plopped my butt in front of the tv with a huge jar of almond butter. That was dumb. But really I had no control with the nuts and that really concerned me. I hate when I feel like food has control over me and I don't get that feeling often, so when I do, it is uncomfortable and it sucks.

One of the days, I went to the farmers market with my sister and sampled so many blueberries, cherries, plums, nectarines and peaches and locally made raw cheeses, I was full for half the day as a result. I was literally handfuls of this stuff and I had no shame because the farmers kept telling me to take samples so I helped myself. I also purchased a couple pints of cherry tomatoes and I ate them as I walked around and finished by the time we left haha oh well. It was nice since I haven't eaten fruit in a very very long time.

So besides the fact that I ate a lot I also had nothing to do really besides catch up on lots of tv. So I got a trial membership to the gym. I did lots of cardio (about 7 -8 miles a couple of nights). Plus went on lots of walks on the days I didn't go to the gym. Overall, it was nice to kinda go off plan but still be on plan in a way ( I didn't eat anything carby, I just majorly overate a lot of the allowed foods).

I weighed in this morning at 152. I think I may be back to normal tomorrow morning hopefully. If not, no big deal...i gained a pound.

So that's that. Today sucks for me because I had nothing to do. I'm looking for a job because my actual job (where I work per diem) has fired so many people due to budget cuts. Luckily I'm still on the payroll but I don't get scheduled, they contact me when they need me and I get frustrated with that situation. I've been looking on craigslist and it's frustrating because I don't feel like it's productive working a job and making only $12-13/hour. Maybe that's me being dumb but now I'm at the point where I'll do anything.
Especially now that my summer class is over, my fall classes don't start until Aug 25th so I have nothing to do till then. Also in the fall, I'm only going part-time b/c I only have 1 class left to graduate. I NEED A JOB!!!

Ok I'm done complaining.

FOOD today:
-too much coffee w/ lots of sf creamer
-albacore tuna steak topped w/ lots of guacamole, colby jack cheese and a couple handfuls of cherry tomatoes
-another large handful of cherry tomatoes and a cheese stick

I'm starving now so I'm going to get up and make something to eat. I don't know what I'm in the mood for...I know I'll have a bowl of brussels sprouts w/ lots of butter but other than that I have no clue. I'll update later.

so i just ate a can of tuna w/ lots of mayo plus a couple handfuls of cherry tomatoes. Now I'm stuffed.

Hello,

So all I've really done all day is eat search for jobs, take a shower, do my hair and make-up all pretty and bum around. I admit that I was mega lazy today. I should've gone to the gym but I didn't. I'll get my act together sooner or later.

Food:
-2 cups coffee w/ sf creamer in both
-awesome omelet made with garlic infused olive oil, onions, cherry tomatoes, basil, 3 eggs and provolone cheese
-handful of cherry tomatoes
-my attempt at duplicating a double double...fail: 1/2 lb ground beef, 1.5 slices american cheese, lots of cherry tomatoes, grilled onions, a head of romaine lettuce (i ate the whole thing while the beef cooked) and seasoning salt

I'm off in about 30 min to my bf's house for the weekend. We have big plans and I'm super excited for it. I know I'll be having an awesome weekend so I hope everyone else does as well. I'll probably be home Sunday afternoon or evening so I'll give all the recap then

Thanks misslatte.

I did have a great weekend. Although today was a bit rough towards the end of the evening because I'm in a difficult situation with my family. Basically, there are a lot of communication issues so I always feel like I'm carrying the largest burden on my shoulders since I can't really speak openly to them. I really don't want to elaborate much more about it now. Just wanted to quickly update my food for the night before I go to bed

I ate a bunch of random stuff today, which is probably why I have a tummy ache right now

-small americano w/ half and half
-tbsp cashew butter
-small sample of cheese
-3 oz almonds
-2 large dill pickles
-leftover chipotle burrito bol (only about 1/2 - 2/3 cup of food)
-awesome fresh figs topped w/ lots of amazingly fresh goat cheese
-1/2 lb ground beef cooked in salsa w/ some onion. I topped this w/ colby jack cheese and tons of guacamole and put it on a bed of romaine lettuce w/ lots of cherry tomatoes and about 1/3 cup of kefir cheese (think super duper thick greek yogurt)

I know there was something else that I ate but I can't remember right now

anyways, i'm drained right now so I'm off to bed. have a good night.

Quick update on some things before I have to run, but more importantly before I forget. I seriously have been having memory failure lately and it's annoying

Weight this morning: 151 I just want to hit the flippin 140's

Food (random again):

-large large cup coffee (probably really 3 cups in volume) w/ sugar free creamer (I only drank half of this though)
-3 turkey breakfast sausage links
-mozzarella string cheese
-about 1/4 cup kefir cheese (lebne while I was making my french onion dip
-2 large carrots eaten w/ about 1/4-1/3 cup of my french onion dip (made of the lebne, garlic, chives, freeze dried onions and salt)
-2 large handfuls cherry tomatoes
-1 large pickle
-I roasted lots of chicken w/ garlic infused olive oil and ate about 1/2 of one of the humongous breasts

Ok I'm off now. I'll be back to update more later. I'm super busy helping bf pack and get things situated for him b/c he's moving. I just wanted to write this stuff out now because these days I seem to just eat whatever I want whenever I'm hungry and then I forget it all by the end of the night.

I'm back now but I'm feeling really sick for some reason

I've felt like I was going to throw up for the past couple of hours. I was really excited to eat more food this evening but now I have no appetite and I just want to go to sleep.

Hopefully I can be back to normal tomorrow, and not be so lazy to take a trip to the gym.

Sorry for the lack of excitement in my journal

Thanks so much misslatte!

I started feeling a lot better but I got really tired and went to bed at around 11:30. Well for some reason I woke up at 3 am and I've been online since. It's almost 6:10 and I'm awake just wasting time on the internet. INSOMNIA SUCKS!!!

I don't know why this happens to me. I used to have very very bad insomnia that was due to overstress and just my brain working way overtime. While I do feel stressed these days with my family issues and bf moving, and lack of a job at the moment, I don't feel like it's any more than I would be experiencing in the middle of a school semester where I was taking full-time plus some units while also working. Regardless, it's odd and it's no fun.

What was fun was being plopped in front of my computer at 4:45 am eating almost half a pint of cherry tomatoes

I'm off to do more searching on the forum, then I'll try to put myself to sleep. Otherwise my entire Tuesday will be shot
