Quick update: I was up til 3:30 working on my report and I woke up at 6:30 to finish it
I'm going to be working on it as much as I can within the next couple days in order to get it done sooner than later. Once I left school I was starving so I went to a new Whole Foods that just opened here in SF. I knew what I wanted to eat a roasted veggie salad at home but I wanted a snack to hold me over, plus I needed to buy the components. I sampled the best tasting mango I've even had in my life. I picked the biggest chunk and it sooooo hit the spot for me. It was seriously the greatest taste and it was so sweet and good I also sampled an awesome macadamia nut I chose to buy a cup of cottage cheese since it was 2 servings in and I knew I could finish it all. Well I bought Nancy's brand of low fat cottage cheese since the only other option was non fat. Well after I paid for it I ripped that thing open and dug into it and it was the worst tasting cottage cheese I've ever had in my life. It was sour and just gross. I love cottage cheese so I was really disappointed. I could only choke down like 1/4 cup before I had to stop because it was that gross I came home and prepped my food which took forever because I need to make my salads with love I finally ate and now i'm feeling so much better. Besides being tired I feel good today. I was feeling very skinny today and it was a nice feeling for a change ![]() Food: -3 eggs w/ mayo -samples at WF: amazing mango and macadamia nut -1/4 cup nasty lf cottage cheese -1/3 lb broccoli w/ ranch dressing -roasted veggies (broccoli, brussel sprouts, tomatoes, mushrooms, red onion, red bell pepper), baby salad greens, 1/2 an avocado, 2 oz goat cheese, large chicken boobie, red wine vinegar, olive oil and a bunch of seasonings all mixed to fabulousness. i ate something else too but I can't remember i pick at so many random things throughout the day so I tend to forget to list things sometimes. I'll update more later.

Hello there!!!
Well I have to run off to school in a bit so I thought I'd give a quick update. I got the chance to finally catch up on sleep last night so that was nice. Also, I weighed in again at a new all time low: 139 I don't know what's going on with my body now but I'm really enjoying this Food so far: -cup of coffee w/ sf vanilla creamer (which I may be giving up soon since I used half and half all weekend and I really enjoyed that - plus the taste of this stuff just doesn't do it for me like it used to). -3 eggs cooked in olive oil and topped with lots of crumbled goat cheese, avocado cubes and salsa (this wasn't so good but I wasn't in the mood for a whole omelet) I purchased a boxed frozen chicken tikka masala meal last night from whole foods so I think I may have that for dinner later. I've been craving spicy stuff lately so I'm trying to get my fill on that with things I enjoy eating. I'll update more later. Have a great day |

-1.75 oz of pecans -chicken tikka masala meal I cannot even begin to tell you how good this tikka masala meal was. If you've ever had real CTM at a restaurant and love the creamy spicy fragrant and flavorful sauce, this frozen meal will totally do it for you. It was really good and spicy (I was sweating as I was eating it!) and the ingredient list isn't so bad plus I enjoyed it so much I will definitely buy it again. Ingredients in Tandoor Chef's Chicken Tikka Masala: Chicken Breast, Tomatoes (Tomatoes, Tomato Juice, Salt, Calcium Chloride, Citric Acid), Water, Onions, Cream, Yogurt (Whole Milk, Active Yogurt Culture), Canola Oil, Cashews, Spices, Milled Cane Sugar, Lemon Juice, Sea Salt, Garlic, Butter, Vinegar, Oleoresin of Paprika, Chick Pea Flour, Turmeric, Fenugreek Leaves, Sodium Phosphate. Nutrition Wise: It had 330 total calories, 200 from fat, 23g of fat, 8 of which were saturated, Fiber was 1 g, sugars were 4 (which is from the minor amout of sugar in it but mostly natural from the tomato and yogurt), 10 g of carbs, and 21 g of protein. YUM!! I also bought some more carrots to munch on if I get hungry in a bit. I'm off to shower and relax for the night since I have to get up and get to school early again!! |

Not much to update today. I've had a really 'off' day so i'm just not in a chatty mood.
![]() food: -1 hb egg w/ mayo (mixed yolk w/ mayo and curry spice and stuffed it back into the white...this was really good). -a cheese stick plus about 1/4 to 1/3 of a avocado -half a head of broccoli and red bell pepper strips dipped in ranch dressing -a huge roasted veggie salad w/ all the usual fixings topped w/ a crapload of chicken, olive oil and goat cheese just to make sure i get enough calories for the day since i don't feel like I ate too much due to what I had going on. have a good night |

Good Morning
Woke up and weighed in again at 139 so that was good. I have a bunch of errands to run, plus I need to go buy food. Other than that, I'm trying to stay out of trouble today because I did some really stupid stuff yesterday so I'm kinda not liking myself right now. Food so far: -3 hb eggs halved and de-yolked. I mixed the yolks w/ globs of mayo, salt, and tons of curry powder really really well, then I re-stuffed all the eggs ![]() I may take myself out to eat today. I really wanted to go buy a Greek salad yesterday from this place across town but never made it there. We'll see. Have a nice Saturday everyone. If you read...please come out and say hi since this journal is feeling pretty lonely ![]() |

I was out running errands and just enjoying the nice weather out today, so it was a very low key day.
I ran to the grocery store for some romaine hearts, mushrooms, broccoli (like 4 lbs worth), brussel sprouts, orange bell pepper, pickles, some diet drinks. I forgot to buy some stuff (eggs, goat cheese, i wanted to buy yogurt) only because the store was soooo crowded. I hate grocery shopping on the weekends. Anyways, I haven't really had much of an appetite today and for someone that loves food as much as I do, well, it's just not fun at all. So I ate 2 pickles and then drank about 3/4 a cup of the vinegar pickle juice from the jar I love it and the saltiness tends to stimulate my hunger. So now I'm just sitting here waiting to get hungry so I can cook myself some food and EAT!!! Never in a million years would I have ever thought I'd have to deal with this issue. Frustrating, interesting, and somewhat funny. I hope it passes. so for the update of food: -3 hb eggs halved and de-yolked. I mixed the yolks w/ globs of mayo, salt, and tons of curry powder really really well, then I re-stuffed all the eggs -2 pickles and 3/4 cup vinegar pickle juice from jar -Planned: large chicken boobie cooked w/ garlic and oregano in olive oil, all cubed and topped on my roasted veggie salad (roasted broccoli, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, red onion, mushrooms, red and orange bell pepper) on a bed of romaine lettuce w/ half an avocado and the last of my goat cheese (about 1.5 oz) and tossed w/ salt pepper, olive oil and red wine vinegar. YUM!!!! This salad overflows my 8 cup salad bowl ![]() |

It's freezing here in SF today. I spent most of the day out with a friend of mine just catching up and relaxing a bit. We went out to a Greek/Middle Eastern restaurant and then went to grab some coffee and we went to a bunch of shops. It was lots of fun. Now I'm back home safe away from the coldness
![]() I have a report due in the morning so I'll be working on that all night. At least I was able to get some fun in first ![]() Food: -2 large chicken kebab skewers w/ grilled onion and green pepper w/ a lemon saffron seasoning. A large salad w/ lettuce, onions, tomato, cucumber and a olive oil, vinegar, oregano dressing. And a side of pickled purple cabbage all eaten at restaurant. (this isn't actually what I ordered but I didn't want to wait any longer and it was something I could eat. I actually ordered a large greek salad w/ chicken, feta, and olives and now I"m wishing I wouldve got what I ordered). -a large Refresh tea from starbucks (I love this..I've been getting it several times a week for a while now since it has such a nice taste) -a bunch of mixed nuts (brazil nuts, almonds, black pepper cashews, marcona almonds) but in total less than .5 oz so not too much but a great variety. I'll update more on the food later. |

thanks so much miss latte!!
Today is a gross day here in SF...cold and rainy. I've been at school all day. Then I went to the gym, biked 6 miles and did some arm rows. My hunger is back to a normal level now so I came home ravenous. I just ate and I'm already planning what I'll be eating later on ![]() Food so far: -3 eggs w/ lots of mayo -couple tablespoons full fat yogurt (while preparing the carton of it to be strained for yocheese) -a head of broccoli w/ ranch dressing -Trader Joe's Indian Fare - Palak Paneer meal So I thought I'd try this Palak Paneer meal from TJ's. I've never eaten the real stuff at an Indian restaurant so I had no expectations. The ingredients are as follows: Spinach, onions, paneer (whole milk, citric acid), tomatoes, cottonseed oil, green chili, ginger, garlic, salt, light cream, cumin, coriander, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, clove. Nutrition wise: For the entire pouch that I ate, it was 320 calories, 220 calories from fat, 24 grams of fat, 8 grams saturated fat, 14 grams carbohydrates, 2 grams fiber, and 12 grams protein. Overall, it didn't taste bad but it was very bland. I'm sure it would taste good with rice or naan but eaten straight from a bowl it was very plain and it lacked substance. Hence the head of broccoli that I ate with it. I won't be buying this again. |

For some reason I've liked cold/rainy days, I guess just because on days like that I don't feel guilty for chilling on the couch with my blankey and watching a movie.

(although I think I overdid it by a bit since they are super caloric)-pickle -huge salad made w/ a chicken boobie cooked in olive oil and roasted veggies (red onions, crimini mushrooms, white mushrooms, orange bell pepper, broccoli, brussels sprouts and tomatoes), over a chopped head of romaine lettuce, half an avocado, 2 oz goat cheese, olive oil and red wine vinegar dressing. Hi
Ive had a long day but luckily it's over now. I got very little sleep last night since I was so full still from my salad and I have a lot of things on my mind lately so I only got about 3 hours of sleep. Hopefully I can make it up tonight ![]() Food so far: -americano w/ half and half (this was so gross, but what can I expect from a campus coffee shop?) -macadamia nuts -2 pickles -1/2 head of broccoli and orange bell pepper w/ ranch dip -omelet made w/ olive oil onion, a buttload of mushrooms (like 8 oz of them since i'm trying to finish them before I leave town), 2 roma tomatoes, 1/2 an orange bell pepper, 3 eggs, and about 2 oz of goat cheese. I feel uncomfortably full right now and I hate the feeling ![]() Misslatte: you soooo need to try the salad the way I make it w/ all the veggies. Then top it w/ avocado, goat cheese, olive oil and vinegar. They all kinda melt together over the warm roasted veggies and it tastes sooooo good. |

I also just ate a bit over a cup of yocheese w/ stevia and this drink packet thing like crystal light but it had probiotics and some other crap in it. It was either 3 or 6 g of carbs. I've had it forever and I was sooooo craving a sf drink so I had it. It wasn't bad but now I look 9 months pregnant.
Misslatte they used to make the americanos good but not anymore. I hate it too since they just give me the shot of espresso in a cup and I'm supposed to add my own water. I don't know how much to add in first off in order for it to taste good and not be watered down, secondly if i'm paying $2 I don't want to have to do any of the work in the process of making the drink! And great job with the advanced meal prep. I had to do that often in my earlier semesters since my schedule was so hectic. I know it was a huge lifesaver for me. Well I won't be back until Monday night since i'm leaving town tomorrow to go see bf. I'm expecting to come home with a couple pounds added on me since bf's dad is like a gourmet chef and he has a home business so he's always home and always cooking. He knows what I can and can not eat but its up to me to control how much of it I eat. Last time I couldn't stop cause it was so good so we'll see how that goes Have a great weekend! |

Thanks for keeping my journal going misslatte. I would've been sad to come back and find it on like page 5
![]() I had a really really good trip. I'm so glad I went and things turned out really well. I had a wonderful time with bf and it was so nice to see him and spend a lot of time with him. I hadn't seen him since the first of September so this was really difficult. We've promised to not allow this length of time to pass again before the next time we see one another because it was a big strain on our relationship. I ate a lot too. I had lots of good meals so that was nice, plus some fun low key stuff like in n out, and an asian buffet place where I ate too much and bf had to pull me because I was having a hard time walking since i was so stuffed All in all it was a nice, relaxing weekend. When i left on Thursday I was 138 and this morning when I got back I weighed myself and I was 137 so although I'm not trying to lose anymore I'll take what I can get. I really don't think I should go below 135 though. Bf was so surprised to see how my body has changed since the time we were last together. It made me feel good and it gave me a larger push towards getting into the proper head space to have more acceptance for my body. I would love to go on and on but I have an exam tomorrow morning at 8am Food so far: -3 eggs w/ mayo - pickle (i was craving one all weekend so i had to eat one) I'll update more on food later on though. Have a wonderful day!! Last edited by lalala; 10-27-2009 at 12:59 PM.. |

thanks so much misslatte!!
I just ate 1 cup of cottage cheese since I found it in my fridge and I wasn't too hungry but felt like I needed to eat something more than what I've eaten today. If I get hungry again while I'm up (which will be til late!!) then I'll eat more regardless of the time. I'm off to study more. Good night all! |

Hellooooo
![]() I've had the longest day ever but its over finally ![]() Woke up weighing in at 137. Awesome Then I had to go to school and I was there forever. Finally got back home after running some errands and I had a bunch of things to catch up on. I didn't get a chance to eat a real meal since my 8am breakfast until 6 pm. I'm stuffed now and I'll be heading to bed in a couple hours since I need to wake up super early to head to work. Food: -tin of tongol tuna with lots of mayo -americano w/ half and half (this was too strong for me so I had to use more h&h than normal but I needed it for the caffeine) -broccoli w/ ranch dressing (about 2 cups of it) -pickle -huge salad made w/ roasted chicken boobie, roasted veggies (mushrooms, red onion, orange bell pepper, 2 tomatoes, lots of broccoli, brussel sprouts), avocado, lots of goat cheese, romaine lettuce, olive oil, red wine vinegar. I'm off to shower and relax a bit. Have a good night ![]() |
