I knew you weren't referring to my journal ... but it is full of frustration and failures so ya never know. I wish I had someone to cook my meals and just serve me when it is time to eat. I hate to plan and I really don't care to nor do I have time to cook when life is this busy. Just treading water ....

I love diet root beer !! Taco salad sounds yummy !! I had leftover taco meat w/cheese & sour cream. I wish I had added lettuce and/or olives or just something else.

Chin up ! I know you can do this .... you stay much more motivated that I do !

Hey Candy!
I hope you had a great day!
I did not weigh on Sat. And I may not weigh next Sat. I have been putting too much stress on myself being worried about #'s. Right now I am trying to focus on my body...and what feels right. It's hard to do that, but I am starting to feel good.
Still searching for reciopes. I found an old folder of printed out recipes tonight that I am going to look through. yay!

I have a small notebook of recipes, but I really need to get working on it again. I've found a few on here and posted them in my journal, so atleast when I get ready to add them to my own collection they will be right there.

Have you ever looked on Linda Sue's website ?? I just love her recipes and I love the fact that she marks the ones that are allowed on induction. She has pictures and gives you tips as well as a review on whether they are good or just so-so, etc.

I wish I was not bound to the scales. But when I didn't weigh I ate worse. Now, I have this pyschological baggage in me that makes me weigh every day !!

I hope you have a great day !

Candy! I have looked at LS's website and I've tried a few of her recipes very good!
I did weigh this morning, I'm down 0.2 lb it's better than nothing!
I am doing better at staying away from the scale; I was weighing every day and it started to consume me. I think that with this WOE, weighing, and the stress of everyday life, it can get to be too much
so that was my reasoning for trying to steer away from one stressor...
anyhoo, I'm on track so just pushing along... I can get through this week; my last week of summer classes which translates to FINALS! But, after this week I'm off til mid august so maybe I can get in some extra exercise
And the best part is...no more summer classes, ever!!!

Forgot to add foods:
B: 6 slices of thin bacon ( I was hungry) and 12 oz coffee w/ HC & splenda
S:12 oz diet root beer...my last one. I betta get to the store soon!

I haven't really found a good chicken wing at a store. What do you normally get ? I love the ones from restaurants, but typically wind up with the boneless ones. A friend told me the Tyson Boneless Buffalo Bites were pretty good. Of course I haven't looked at them or priced them yet.

I like dill relish in my tuna/chicken salads, but DH likes the splenda flavored relish.

CONGRATS on your 2lbs !! I personally think that is awesome. I admire you for trying to not get consumed with it. I am working towards that on this way of eating again, but will probably never give up my daily scale regimen.

Keep up the good work my friend !

We don't have a Publix nearby ... maybe one day.

Oh girl, steak fajitas ... YUMMY ! I'd love some of those right now. Are you just eating the fajitas or have you ventured out to add the LC wraps ? (They are addictive to me, but one day I might get a pack for when I crave bread - at least til I find a LC bread).

Do you use the ChickFila dressing with your salad ? Is it OK on carbs ? I haven't been to a ChickFila in so long I forgot about their salads.

Hope you have a great day !

Candy! Yes, I'm around. I have been dealing with some difficult issues for a couple of weeks, and I have been semi on plan. I haven't had alot of carbs, per say, not bread, noodles, rice or potatoes, but I have had an issue with sugar. I realized it's a weakness for me and I'm working thru it. I will resume posting on here since I'm feeling okay...I didn't want to say too much since I have been so judgemental lately

Weight tonight 239.1 with clothes on but no shoes. I have not exercised hard in 2 weeks and I'm mad at myself. I started weight training at the gym and I want to continue with that because I really like it! School starts for me next week so I'm planning out my menus. I want to have it all prepared by Monday or early Tuesday, tonight I got lettuce, it's washed and ready to go, and I boiled some eggs. Packed my lunch for work tomorrow: salad w/ chicken and HB eggs, cheese and tomato. Yum!

Girl, I understand !! I also understand that when I FIRST slipped away from my old journal and LCF a lot of it was a time factor, but then it turned into an embarrassment and a feeling of failure. I now have to use this for accountability. Not to say I won't get caught up in a web again ... but I am learning the hard way that I can only do this one meal and one day at a time.

Glad to see you posting .... your lunch sounds yummy. Glad to see you are keeping up with my journal. Trust me, if you have been reading you'll see my struggles. We all struggle. It is hard to get inspiration when everyone is struggling and it seems so down instead of motivational. But, sometimes that is the only time I post about my foods is when I messed up. I guess it's a crazy thing and I wish I could explain it.

Have a great Sunday my dear !!

Copying a recipe from Candy's journal to try next week...these will be great to eat on the run!

1 pound of sausage
12 eggs
6 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream
2 cups of shredded cheese

Cook sausage then put it in muffin pans. I use the rubbery muffin pans and spry with pam before adding sausage. Beat the eggs and add the whipping cream. Add that mixture on top of sausage in muffin pan. Add cheese, however much you want , on top. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and cook for 20-25 minutes.

This will make 12 sausage egg and cheese muffins.

So, did you make the muffins ? I still haven't tried them yet. Just wanted to pop in and apologize for my absence. My world has been crazy. I am not sure it slowing down yet, but some stuff has been resolved ... some has not, ugh !

How are you ??

Candy, I'm fine, I'm just having a really tough time. I am so busy with school and work, blah blah blah that I have put myself on my list. Yes, I want my nursing degree but I want to be healthy when I graduate. I'm having headaches, and I'm so tired!I have no time to exercise and it pisses me off, to be honest. I don't have high BP or diabetes, but I feel like it's only a matter of time before something develops. I don't want this. I want to feel GOOD! Boo-Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will leave with this: tonight I was 246 lb. I went over the 240 mark in less than 2 weeks! Fast food to and from school and no treadmill...yikes!

Twink, I know exactly how you are feeling. I've been in similar situations and trust me it will only get worse. I thought back when I had gone off Atkins I'd be able to maintain and then just start all over. It didn't work that way.

I would never go against anyone exercising, but when I was losing and even this time I've not really done anything that could be considered physical activity. That is the magic of Atkins. However, I think the closer we get to goal it does become more important. I've heard folks say it is essential to prevent lose skin later, so I know I need to do it.

I guess I am just saying if you can focus on the food portion and then add in exercise as you can then you would be OK for a while.

You've always been good an preparing things to take with you and eat on the go.

Hope you can get your mojo back. Please let me know what I can do to help you.
