weight today 199.0 so just .2 to get back to fridays. hoping to see 197 or less. 196.9 would rock and that would be almost two lbs lost. my tummy is being a jerk, not sure if i'll be at work all day today or not. going to try and stick it out as long as i can.

weight still 199.0. even though i wasn't feeling well i still had my appetite. i think it would do me some good to be rid of the Halloween candy on friday. I think one week is long enough. my little girl will be mad but she'll just need to get over that.

my tummy still hurts a little but is definitely better. fasting tomorrow so i hope its completely back to normal for that.

so i bought chris powels carb cycling book on my kindle. im going to read it then im going to start it in January. Everyone is always super motivated in January right?!? I just have to get through the holidays. I will never go back to a strict low carb diet, but i think this carb cycling will help me keep my body guessing which is why i've had so much success this year already. plus it'll be something new, nothing wrong with that. i'll have high carb days and low carb days, but those wont ever be induction level and in fact for breakfast i'll still get to eat like an english muffin and i'll get peanut butter and other fats like avocado on low carb days. i think i'll give it a 12 week go starting in january. that'll be put me through March and hopefully get me to 175! im really going to try and get to at least 190 by christmas. im excited to read this book.

Great idea Lexi! I bought that book on my Kindle a while back and never read it!! I think keeping the body guessing will be important in the long run. Can't wait to see how you like it! January is just around the corner!

Hey chickie!

I'm glad you've started feeling better...hopefully you'll be 100% soon! I don't blame you on the Halloween candy thing...there are 2 full bags of it in our house, and it's been hard to avoid! I totally gave into it Sunday, but resisted it last night by having a WW ice cream bar instead & making myself drink water! LOL!

I'm excited for you in trying the carb cycling program...I've heard good things about it! Danielle (DesertGurl) has had luck with it & is happy with the program, as far as sustainability.

So proud of you thus far...you're one of my sources of encouragement & inspiration.

im super excited to read it, id be reading it now if it weren't for work and school getting in the way of what I WANT to be doing lol.

oh i know. just gotta make it through november and december and lose 7 lbs instead of gaining it like the rest of america.

HELLUR! thanks, yea it stinks feeling under the weather! Yea i think im getting rid of all of that candy on friday. sorry DD Laila! good for you for resisting it.

yea i figure it wont slow down my metabolism which is what im most afraid of. i'll still be eating a decent amount of calories.

198.2 this morning, woot woot! down .6 lbs since fridays weigh in. today is a fast day. hoping and wishing and praying to see 196.9 but more likely it'll be 197 and thats ok i'll be glad when this fast day is over. im definitely feeling better but still not 100%

Lex you will have a ball at the concert!!! I am about done with LC I think, I have CHris's book, maybe we can both start at the same time and help each other with it! I need a different plan nothing seems to be working for me anymore, I have been maintaining at this weight for almost `18 months, that is nuts!

Ok, y'all got me about to buy this book b/c my library doesn't have it. LOL. I saw the basic plans on his website, and I like the idea of it. Some of it reminds me of the WWPP "Wendie" plan that does higher/lower point days. I think a lot of bodybuilders carb cycle...I seem to recall reading that online. I really think keeping the body guessing is a good idea b/c our metabolisms get "used" to things.

Amber i agree so much. FOR ME and i can only speak for me, LC just didn't work in the long run, the first time it did work but it was so hard to maintain that i gained everything back plus 10 lbs. it has to be something you can do for life and i just can't deprive myself of carbs for my entire life. Im happy to hear that you're thinking of trying something different.

i think you should buy it and check it out. do you have a kindle or the kindle app on your phone? I just bought mine for my kindle and will be reading it over November/December and getting ready to do it January

yea i too have seen that body builders carb cycle, it allows them to maintain their muscle or even gain muscle at the same time as losing fat. im a firm believer in keeping the body guessing. my body can't keep up right now. im eating low one day then high the next but still have a deficit if you average it out. i think thats why this is working so well for me.

weight today 196.8 woot lost 2 lbs!! HIP HIP HOORAY! i could be in the lower 90s by thanksgiving. really all i want by new years is to be 190 or less. i know i'll have some fluctuations thanks to thanksgiving and christmas thats why i'm being lenient. and 175 by my bday. i can't believe im only 21 lbs from 175. im a happy girl! and pink this weekend is going to be SO FUN!

Weight 198.0 so up 1.2 lbs which is incredible considering i went out to dinner friday night and saturday night and had drinks! very pleased. fasting today so hopefully that 1.2 will come off then i can focus on getting to 194 by friday.

woo hoo woke up to 196.0 on the scale. PARTY!!!

so i just checked my BMI and i'm only 16 pounds away from just having an overweight BMI!!! makes me happy to see that!

trying to get to the gym tonight if i can make arrangements for the kids. I am NOT taking them to the daycare with all the illness floating around.

weight holding steady at 196.0 so still down .8 from friday. hoping to get to 194 this friday went to the gym last night, didn't go at all last week so it felt great. going to go saturday and maybe sunday.

WTG on going to the gym last night...what did you do?

I was going to go this morning, but I slept like crap last night -- was up from like 1:45 to 3:30, then took a Benadryl to knock myself out.

Hope your Wednesday is going well so far.

Thanks! I ran for 10 minutes then did my FIRE strength class. Im feeling it in all my muscles today lol
