I'm here! actually i wasn't following a low carb diet but rather a low calorie. now since im back up to 244 as of this morning im going to try "crack the fat loss code" its a carb cycling diet. its one week of VLC then high carb days, low carb days and baseline days. Then a few planned cheat days where you eat whatever you want for one meal. we'll see how that goes. its an 8 week program. im excited! actually i LOVE the first week back on low carb, i love that Woosh of weight loss!

That sounds interesting Lexi!!! Doesn't hurt to give it a try. I know Amber did carb cycling for a little while. Maybe she will chime in for some tips.

ok i have to admit this, i am a fickle lady, if you hadn't guessed that already. i think im just too lazy and don't want to have to do the work that the "crack the code" requires. so im giving LC lifestyle a-go for another round. i'm going to eat on induction levels. when i go on vaca in two weeks i will not be eating LC but will return to it immediately and keep going. i guess when i get bored with it i'll try low calorie eating again. lol. im deseperate for 199!

Just checking in mid week! Still on induction level carbs. doing very well. no cheating aside from a bite here and there. I did drink alcohol which gave me some issues water weight wise but oh well. i defintiely need to get over the whole weighing once per week. I wish i could control myself and only weigh in once per month, that would be magnificent.
SO im struggling big time with my decisions for a quick trip i have coming up. I'm doing so well cravings wise that i just dont want to mess anything up BUT at the same time i had this tripped planned before i went back to my LC ways and had dinners planned at some favorite places. at this point im thinking about just letting myself have one HIGH carb day (the saturday that we are there) and letting it be guilt free. I'll plan for it to be a sort of shock to my system and who knows maybe it will help things move along. Actually one shock day every 3-4 weeks or so might do me some good, help me feel less like im missing out on stuff and kick start any stalls. we'll see how it goes and what happens. I just hope and pray that i can get right back to LC and not miss a beat. I'll be trying on my bridesmaid dress in late July for a wedding that I am in Late september, and im focusing on getting to the point where i'll have to have alterations to make the dress fit tighter |

Hi Lexiann - I didn't read your entire journal/blog, but just wanted to say that I totally relate to ups and downs, the fickleness of trying one diet after another, reading every diet in Woman's World and thinking "this will work for me." Just here to say that I'm sticking to LC induction until I lose 50 lbs. - with no alcohol (slipped up both Fridays my first two weeks) - and am posting this to as many sites as I can to keep me honest. At 60 years old, I really need to get this weight off and all the wonderful people on the website will keep me accountable. Hoping to write my story one day. Best of luck to you. Hang in there. We're all doing this together...one day at a time - one lb. at a time.

Ok so i've decided I'm not going to weigh in again until July 1st. holy crap, this is going to be SO HARD! But I CANT wait to see what happens! I weighed in today at 237. I would LOVE to lose 10 lbs in this one month!!!!!!! But i think ultimately my goal is to just be in the 220s by then. I've got alot of things going on in June that could be possible roadblocks but i don't plan to let them. Events only last a short time and i just have to get in and then get out! I am allowing myself one cheat day next sat but i will get right back on that horse and keep going. also i will be doing alot more exercise, i want to push myself and see what i can really do!!! I will not be giving up alcohol, i very much enjoy social drinking, plus i didn't give it up my first go round and i don't feel it held me back by any means.
So heres to a great month of June, no weigh ins, lots of exercise, eating on plan and having my one cheat day and NOT beating myself up about it! Honestly its just food, get over it already!!!! |

Lexi wow no weighing for a month, I like it that is going to keep you on track if you really want to do this!! Put pictures and notes everywhere that you are tempted, like in your purse, your dashboard, the fridge the pantry anyplace you might be tempted it really helps you keep your goals in mind. I have got to do something to move this weight I am beyond frustrated it is maddening, so I will be there with ya!

Amber I really hope you are constantly reminding yourself and being appreciative to yourself for how far you've come. i understand that you are not done yet in your journey (as far as maintance goes) but you'll never really be done, make sure you continue to give yourself the job well done pat on the back. i think as long as you remember you'll A) never go back and B) keep striving for more. But i really hope you are #1 enjoying your hot new bod!! |

Happy Monday, like i was saying to Amber above, i'm on a roll! lol! feeling great and excited to be looking great soon too! seriously locking my scale up has lifted a weight off my shoulders. i no longer feel to be in such a hurry, i'll just let this do what its supposed to do and go with it. i know what i can eat and i know what i can't eat and i'll let this WOE do the rest. One thing I definitely need to work on is getting more exercise, i'm really not exercising at all right now, i've got some bob harper DVDs and jillian DVDS that i know would work me out and get it going so i just need to do them!
can't wait for my weigh in July 1st! |

I'm glad its Thursday!! I'm feeling really good and feeling like im getting smaller. my pants fit great! Tue and wed am i made a quick protein shake with my complete nutrition "smart" choc fudge and unsweetened almond milk from my breakfast. I'm going to try and drink that on most mornings i think it will REALLY help me lose, low calorie, low fat and low carb plus it'll boost my metabolism and help me with cravings. some mornings i will still rely on eggies tho because sometimes i just need more food. its almost been one week since i hid my scale. i desperatly want to get on it BUT im not going to. im going to wait the full month to weigh in. i simply cannot wait to see my results. now if only i could get on with my workouts i'd be A'ok! i at least need to do 3x/week!
so tomorrow we go to KC. im going to eat low carb mostly tomorrow, may have some corn at dinner. But saturday is my planned cheat day. im honestly ok with cheating and looking foward to having some of my favorite foods, my biggest fear is setting myself up and not being able to get right back to LC on sunday morning. but i kinda need this i think in order to keep going. i think i'll let myself have one cheat day/month. if im successful i dont think it'll have any long term negative effects, i actually think it might do the opposite and help my metabolism stay reved up! I CAN DO THIS! i may or may not post tomorrow, if i don't i will definitely post on monday and tell ya how it all went. |

Lexi- I can tell in your posts you are much more focused and determined then previously and I think the not weighing is so brilliant, and I am glad you can feel changes, I cant wait to see what you lost in a month. Have you seen those extreme make over shows? They only weigh once a month, there is something to that!!!
