You are doing a fantastic job! I didn't realize that I was following your journey back in 2009 until I saw my earlier posts this evening. I can relate to a lot of what you are experiencing, including the disconnect with your hubby. We have two daughters under two and it is challenging to make time for the two of us to connect. It's cyclical though. You will get that spark back. Just wait until hubby sees you looking hotter and hotter. You're not far from onederland.

Melanie - I haven't checked your journal in a bit so I have a few things to comment on. First, it's totally normal for passion to come and go in marriages. I consider myself extremely lucky to be with my husband and yet we still have our struggles from time to time. My motto is to fake it until you make it. Even with passion. If you start, it may ignite the real thing. Second, is he having as much success as you with weight loss? If not, there could be jealousy or even nervousness that you're doing so awesome. 36 pounds is INCREDIBLE!! My husband, who is at his perfect weight, even mentions wanting to start working out now that I'm dropping weight. It starts to stir insecurities in some of our men.

Hi, thanks for dropping in. I will try that motto. Sounds easy enough. And yes he is having more success. He has lost 56 lbs so far, but I can see where the insecurities could be kicking in because people are noticing my weight loss.

and thank you, i am so proud of myself that I have been able to lose this much. This woe is truly amazing!!!!

Maggie Yes and no. Very excited, but very busy getting ready. I can't wait for it to get here and be relaxing poolside!!!

So real quick. My lowest low this week was 224.4, but then it was up to 225.2 the next day and then this morning 224.6.

Hoping that the whoosh fairy comes tonight and takes a few more lbs. I have got to be in deep ketosis, because I have barely ate much today at all and haven't been hungry.

Well I would love to chat more, but I need to get to bed, I have a huge to-do list for tomorrow.

Hello, just stopping in to say I am here. I did good with the diet for the first day of the cruise and then went down hill from there. Weighed myself when I got back last Sunday and I was up 6 lbs. I tried to get back on to the diet but was busy and needed groceries. So Wednesday rolled around and I finally got groceries. I figured I might as well wait until after Daughters bday and Easter this weekend to start back. So Monday is back at it hard core and with a new set of goals!!!!

Hello, just sitting here reflecting about my goals.

Mini goal 1: 15 lbs lost by May 7th
Mini goal 2: 10 lbs lost by June 4th
Mini goal 3: 10 lbs lost by July 2nd and be in Onederland!!!

So 195 by my birthday July 3rd.

I am hoping that I can lose closer to 15 - 20 a month, but figured I would be modest and see what happens.

Melanie, you can see such a big difference in the pictures of you now from the cruise. You will get the groove back I just know it. I am staying on my journal pretty much, just wanted to say that you look GREAT!!!

Thanks Magie, for the support. I actually missed being on this wol, but ate because it was "vacation".

Today went well.

224.2 this morning.

I was starving today but finally feel full tonight.

B: 2 scrambled eggs in butter

Had a good day!!! I need to go to bed. I am hungry, and I'm contemplating eating a few almonds or going to bed. I should have ate more for dinner but didn't have time.

222 this morning

B: atkins shake
L: 2 pieces of celery
8 pieces of bacon with 2 tbsp mayo
D: meatballs in hunts tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese

After dropping dd1 off at school, dd2 and I went to the park and I pushed dd2in her stroller for 1.5 miles. Oh and on the last little stretch of the walk I RAN for short little intervals. THIS IS HUGE, as I hate to run, but said to myself, You need to kick up your heart rate a little bit and so I ran 4 short intervals. Then once we got back to the car, we ran and played through the outfield of the baseball field for about 15 minutes. Going to Zumba tonight and contemplating wearing weights on my arms to see if I can get a little arm workout as I ZUMBA..


This is crazy, but after I got back I was reflecting on this and realized I wasted most of my adult life not being active. I loved playing sports in school. Maybe now as I am losing weight and feeling better I can find an adult league for Hubby and I to be on. WHOA!!!

I got a view of my butt today clothed and thought my butt looked awfully flat. I need to do some exercises to round it out a bit. It has changed though I can tell its gotten smaller.

A little more reflecting on my thoughts today....

So I realized that I am having the 3rd day ketosis energy today!!! How do I keep this going? I want to bottle it up for the rest of my journey!!! Today has been alot of thinking. I realized that for the better part of my adult life I have been a slug. I am going to be more active. That picture I posted the muscle mass and non muscle mass has really spooked me into getting off my ass. I have thought about this all day. I am sure that if they looked at my body it would be all FAT. I want to be healthy and fit with no saggy skin. So I am going to find the exercises and what to do while I lose.
