Good morning!!!! Day 8 down 9 lbs total. Today is the first day that I woke up to a small loss. .4 loss. I've heard it's just means its a toning and tightening day. Going to drink more water and not eat so late. I had an apple and Melba when we got home from out friends house. DD2 slept like crap and therefore I slept like crap.

Had a bit of head hunger or atleast I hope it was tonight. We got together to celebrate DD2 bday early with my sister because she won't be home for her actual party next weekend. They had steak salads with fries and mozzarella sticks all my favorites. I had a side salad and my chicken from home as I didn't trust how they cooked the steak. Then of course cake... Ice cream cake at that and I resisted it all.

I think I'm going to have to try the cottage cheese smoothie. I'm finding I haven't wanted my chicken I have prepared for lunch and have missed a protein this way today and yesterday. Going to look through recipes.

Drank tons of water today. I got burnt though out at the pool today and hope it doesn't make me retain water...

So protocol foods minus not having 2 proteins for the day.

Thanks ladies!!! I will pick some up and try it this week. .

So I was tested again and think I might have had my first mood swing/meltdown. We were invited to my uncles for Father's Day and also were having Jason's dad over for dinner. I wanted Jason to decide what he wanted and he wouldnt and I got mad because I couldn't have it anyway and didn't want chicken again!!! It was short lived but I was feeling sorry for myself today.
Sundays used to be pizza days for me and I found myself really wanting pizza today.

Then we went to my uncles and I really wanted to be able to eat like normal. They had rigatoni and meatballs, and angel food cake, and pretzels and dip and left over Ice cream cake from yesterday and I really longed to be able to eat without gaining. It got me wondering if I will ever be able to. I really hope that I will and will just watch my 2lb window and watch portions.

I resisted and ate totally on protocol. I'm hungry tonight as I type this. Probably not enough water drank. I really need to find a new favorite recipe. To keep me going with this.

Ugh... So frustrating! I'm down only .2 this morning! Was looking forward to a bigger drop. Will chug the water and hope for a better loss tomorrow!!

Was so good yesterday and resisted all the food. I am going to measure today... Maybe seeing the inches will make me happy!! .

Have a great day! I'm going to head out soon and have some fun with the kiddos!!

Awww, that's frustrating - especially when you know how much you resisted! Just chug that water. I know I don't drink nearly enough when I'm out or at other people's houses.
Today is p2d1 for me. So far so good... I have to say that two fruits a day feels like cheating!

Well after I measured, I was naked anyway so I weighed and the scale said 226.6. Not sure why it didn't register this morning, but sometimes that happens. So I'm going to take it!!!

Drinking a strawberry slushie now.

Good luck today!!! I know we can do it!!!! As for the fruits, I so feel you there!!! .

Hi Melanie!! You are so good. It is so hard to resist things while on protocol! I am cheering you on and great job with the loss. I was surprised to see my loss this morning. I am probably going to make the P2 chili this evening. It is my favorite thing to eat while on P2. I hope you have a great whoosh tomorrow as well. You earned it!

Hugs,
Jen

Had a good day. A busy one. I finally got some big apples and really enjoyed it tonight for my snack along with my garlic flavored Melba!!!!

Dug out my cooler to pack our lunch for tomorrow. They have restaraunts there but i just dont trust how they cook things, so its strictly protocol for me!!! The girls and I are going to head out to the lake bright and early to spend the day with my mother in law who is at a conference there. Won't be on until probably tomorrow night.

Whew, what a day yesterday was!!!! Exhausted, but we had fun. 4 hour ride to the Lake, 3 hour ride home. Fun times in between, but it was a long day!!!
Thank goodness for coolers. It kept my food and drops cool all day long. I was really wishing I could have gotten a frozen coffee for the drive home though. Otherwise it was a great protocol day!!!! Drank lots of water.

Came home and woke up to a 1.8 loss!!!! WOO HOO!!!!

224.8 as of this AM!!!

Just ate an apple and drank my cup of coffee so far!

Hello all!!! I think my drops being in the cooler and getting warm on Tuesday might have done something to them. Since then they haven't tasted right and today I am starving!!!!! I was having thoughts and mostly letting my brain sabotage my plan. I was starting to worry about my babies bday party today and was really getting sick of the same things. Thought about calling it quits a week early, but worried about gaining back what I had lost. So last night I decided to continue out this round but I'm going rogue. Going to do it my way and hope it works!!!! I will see how these first couple days go and then go from there. If I see the scale moving in wrong direction it will be back to strict to finish out week.

Can't wait until P3 and all its yummy ness!!!!

Hi Melanie! I am so happy for your losses so far! U are doing great!! Good idea on giving things a try to see if they work. I envy your strictness. I was so strict the first time I did HHCG. I'm not seeing the scale move down, but my energy is up and clothes are fitting much looser

I'm here. . Trying to decide what plan I am going to follow. Not feeling so great currently about my body and sad that I have put most of what I have lost back on!!!! Haven't checked the scale in awhile but know from how clothes fit, it ain't going to be pretty!
It's time to get healthy for the whole family. Dd6 is having weight issues, dh is heavy again and if we don't watch it DD3 will be following out foot prints.
I know low carb works, but I also want it to be a more "social friendly" plan.
More along the lines of healthy foods.
So I am here, but not 100% sure what I am going to do. Will report back.

Hey Mel. I'm here again too. I didn't regain everything, but about 1/2 of what I lost. It's not fun or pretty. But I'm here on week 3 of LC again. I know you want something more socially acceptable, but honestly, I'm finding LC to be very easy this time socially. I think it was just something I had to decide for myself though. Even sometimes if I don't eat at an outing, I survive and eat afterwards. I'm loving salads, bunless burgers, bbq'd meats, green beans, quiches, etc.

If you do decide to LC, since you are so successful at it, maybe move up the carb ladder after a month or two and intentionally slow down the losses for the holidays - allowing more things. You could reinduct after that and still be well on your way.

Hello my dear dear cheerleaders a d supporters!!!!!!! . I'm dreading to see the number on the scale in the morning. I know I haven't gained back everything I lost, but probably half atleast. I'm up two sizes in pants. I'm going to guess I'm at 240.

My friend is doing low carb And has been doing it for about a month now. When she was about 2 weeks in she wanted me to come over and help her out. I started thinking abut getting back into it then. Then my mother in law mentioned wanting to do it too, and DH is so ready to get back to low carb as he has gained too.

So tomorrow is the day. I have been researching some new recipes to try.
Looking forward to my egg and cheese mushroom omelette in morning!!!

So far so good. I know from the past one of my downfalls is lunch. So I spent all evening yesterday and all afternoon today preparing foods we can grab and go!!!!

So far my favorite is the pepperoni cheese bites!!!!! . Yummy!!!!
Bought some yummy veggies yesterday at walmart. I think dh ate the radishes I was planning on putting in with the roast. I read that if you put them in slow cooker wit roast the last 2 minutes that they taste like potatoes.
I also made sausage egg muffins and buffalo chicken egg bites.

I haven't tried the buffalo chicken bites yet. Dh did and he didn't seem as impressed as I thought he would be. Oh and I also made chicken stuffed with mushrooms and ricotta. Dh had that and I'm not sure if he left me any or not.

Awesome, Mel! That stuff all sounds yummy to me. If the buffalo chicken egg things turn out, let me know the recipe. I love those flavors and have never tried anything like it. But you did just inspire me to make some egg/sausage muffins tonight. I need some more easy items in my fridge.

Hello ladies. So I have found out I am picky. I have always been a picky eater, but now things that sound good, once they are made I don't event try them
Dh ate both stuffed chicken breasts, and is working on finishing off the buffalo bites. I didn't try any. I'm not sure why, they don't sound good now that I made them.

However, I am having no problem polishing off the mini cheesecake bites. .
And pepperoni bites. I'm making more of those tomorrow and going to try a different pizza crust that I found a recipe for.

The chicken bites recipes.....

Chicken buffalo muffins

Ingredients:

2 chicken breasts (raw) or 1lb of ground chicken (cheaper to grind yourself in a food processor)
5 eggs
1/2 cup of bleu cheese (you can omit this if you really, truly need to)
2 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup of Frank’s RedHot Buffalo sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:

1) Heat the oven to 350 degrees.

2) Chop up the raw chicken breast into large chunks. Then throw them in the food processor. Process for about 30 seconds until it is completely ground. Let it rest for a second.

3) In another bowl add the eggs, green onions, bleu cheese, baking soda, salt and pepper. Mix till blended.

4) Add the chicken, bleu cheese, and hot sauce to the bowl and mix until everything is incorporation.

5) Scoop into a silicone muffin pan (I love this one) or a heavily greased muffin pan.

6) Bake for 25 minutes till muffins are firm.

7) Serve with extra hot sauce, ranch and celery! Makes 12 muffins!
