Aww thanks ladies. You really know how to make a woman feel good. .

Amber. I am thinking about giving it a try. I would love to do it with my sister. It would be such s huge accomplishment. I look at that old picture and think who is that and then look at the new one and think who is that. I was that heavy for so long that I still feel like that sometimes.

Gracie and CeeCee. Hello. Glad to see you back. We are going to kick it in 2013.

217.4 this morning. I am down 3.4 lbs since starting 3 days ago.
I am going to really try to just weigh in once a week. Weighing everyday drives me crazy.

Today has been a veg out day. I'm getting sorer and sorer as the day goes on.
I have BBQ pork chops in the crock pot for dinner. I cut up celery and got some snacky stuff to get us through the weekend.

I am going to make a spicy chicken soup I saw on the recipe thread here for lunch tomorrow.
Baked a batch of bacon. 1st time ever making it in the oven. Will see how I like it.
Not much on the agenda this weekend. Probably work out some and play out in the snow with the kids.

I don't have a journal. I am a wimp. One day I will work up the courage and I am still trying to figure out how all this works. You are a success story! I am amazed at your will power! I am cheering you on!

Ok... So I went back and looked. I average 11 lbs a month. I am going to put it at 8 Lbs a month. 2 lbs a week, so.....
My first 2 week challenge I would like to make it through induction and lose 4 lbs.

So for the 10 week challenge I would like to see 20 lbs total lost.
10 weeks will put me at March 15.
To get to my ultimate goal it will take 35 weeks to Sep. 6th. So that seems so long right now. I am taking some great advice from a challenge and breaking it down to 2 week increments. I average 2.75 to 3 lbs a week. I'm going with a modest 2 a week and going to hope...no pray for the best!!!!!

Yes Mel I think it is good to break down the goals and just focus on 2 weeks or a week at a time! I spent a great deal of time going back to my very first journal when I was really strict, and what was I doing? I focused on 10 pound increments, I weighed once a week, I drank water, and I didnt shove carbs down the trap pretty easy in general so why do I complicate it?

Amber. I do the same thing. I guess we just like to complicate things and sabotage our efforts. Not this time. Simple. .

Had a good day today. Worked on taking down Christmas decorations. Put away the three baskets of clothes I have been avoiding forever. Did more laundry. Will put it away tomorrow.

I made spicy chicken soup for lunch today. It was good. Both dh and I liked it. Then tried fried pickles for dinner...made with pork rind coating. They were ok but not the best. I have had an upset stomach since lunch. I hope I am not getting sick. Not sure what's up.

Good morning ladies. I did not weigh this morning. Going to really try just once a week. Today is going good so far. Turkey is cooking in roaster for later. So far I have had sausage and eggs for breakfast and cup of coffee with Splenda and a little half and half. My stomach is a still a little upset. I'm not sure what's going on. I hope it gets better soon. I have a meeting later this evening.

Mel! Just the idea of fried pickles has my mouth watering! Yum.
I agree - 10 lbs at a time, and simplicity is the key. Now to follow my own advice lol.

Good to see you back! Love the new pic.

Finally got back on the bandwagon the week after Christmas and man was it eye opening when I started paying attention again. I had to toss out my sausage after I found out they have wheat in them. Breakfast is a little bland right now - even Atkins bars have wheat! What sausage are you using? I need to find a different one.

Hello ladies. .

Kristyn. The pickles were ok. Not the best. We will keep looking for. Better recipe. Yes simplicity is key. You can do it.

Jessie. Thanks, I'm glad to be back. I think from what I have read around he boards.. We are in the same boat with lots of people with having eye openers. Onward we go. I use bob Evans sausage links.

U bet Jessie. I hope that they work for you.

Well today didn't go as planned. I had a meeting today for work. I have decided I do not like Sunday meetings. They take away from my family time. I got home later than expected and the kids were still awake. So guess who they wanted to put them to bed.... Yep you guessed it, ME. Love them to pieces but I was not planning on that. I had eaten a little bit before I left and had hoped on eating when I got home. Well that didn't happen and for some reason my one lovely daughter decided to give me a hard time and wouldn't go to sleep. I finally just had a shake. So here I am wide awake because I had planned on getting stuff done when I got home but didn't have a chance.

Amber It was busy.

CeeCee. You can do it. Breaking the goals into little ones helps me lot.

Nothing new today. Kind of a blah Monday. I need to get some stuff done today but just don't feel like it yet.

Motivation please find me.

Had a fairly good day today. Got some things accomplished. I have been working on getting my receipts in order for tax time for my business and also getting this house in order. Picked up a meat pack this afternoon. We were out of meat and needed some. So much better than going to the store. .

We had a GF for Quaker steak and lube and decided to use it tonight. I got a grilled chx salad with mild sauce on the chicken. I wasn't impressed with it. The salad was shredded lettuce. I don't care for shredded lettuce in a salad. Shredded lettuce is for tacos not a salad base. Oh we'll. I am in deep purple ketosis for sure because I haven't ate a ton today but I'm also not hungry.
I plan on checking my keto sticks this week but not weighing until Friday. .

Tomorrow mint is movie night with the kiddos.

Amber. Yep I felt better getting something accomplished. M

CeeCee. What you don't turn it back on a few times to fluff.... So it's hot like I do.

Today is a good day. Not all that hungry. I have had a shake so far. Going to go eat some roast that I made and some salad for dinner. Then going to make a mini cheesecake for hubby and I. Got my nails done today.

Have a great night. I will be back later.
