Hello my dear friends!!!! Thank you for being here!! I am sad but not regretful in saying that I have not been watching what I am eating... and getting back to old habits. The weight has creeped a little bit and it is now time to get serious again.

I am trying to get back into the swing of it. I know I will love it once I get going... its just the get going part that is so hard. I have also not been to zumba in forever. I had all intentions on getting into a routine in the am with working out and haven't. I am going to Zumba Thursday night.

I have worked way to hard to mess this up!!! Stay tuned for some greatness postings.

Official start of phase 2 to a skinny me starts today. . So far I have had an Atkins shake. Since taking a hiatus I am up to 220. I am sad about this but not devastated. I know I did this before and will do it again!!!! So on to a kick butt 2013. Looking for lots of motivation and encouragement. Going to take some time and read back in my journal.

I am here!!!!! Ready to get this back in high gear!!!!!!! Summer was not so great. I started looking good and got cocky.... Started eating this and that and am up 30 lbs. I'm not going to dwell on the past but look to the future. This summer I will be at goal and will be one sexy honey badger!!!! Here is where I need your help. I will need a butt kicking from time to time and some motivation as well. When I'm doing good...I'm on top of the world...but when I am doing bad I am really down on myself. I am going to try really hard not to get down on myself.

So lets do this!!!!!

Hey Melanie!! I'm up about 30 from my summer low of 221. It sucks, but I'm not going to let myself dwell on it. This is a fresh start. We did it before, and we can do it again. The key is to maintain at the minimum when we need breaks.

Oh I know the darn summer really got me. Oh well. Onward and upward.
I was down 2 lbs this morning. Only 16 more until I see 199 again. You know I liked hitting onederland so much that I just wanted to do it again.

Apparently I can't count this morning. 19 lbs until onederland.

My sister is doing a half marathon in may....the other day I texted her about needing a challenge...but she never responded and then I saw that she is doing another half marathon with some friends. I have never ran before.... But I have been thinking that if I am in shape enough by then...which I plan to be, that I may just try it too. What do you all think?

I say go for it. There are all kinds of training programs you can find online that will help get you ready to go. You could totally do it by May!

Cool, I may just work towards that.

Went to Zumba tonight. It was good but boy am I going to be sore tomorrow. It has been way too long since I have been there. I told the instructor if I am ever away for more than a month that she has permission to find me on Facebook and call me out. and she will too.

Today's eating was good.
Had a shake for breakfast.
L steak salad with tons of veggies.
D piece of pizza bake handful of dill pickles
S. cheese omelet and a mini cheesecake.

Drank 64 oz of water too.

Melanie - holy moly lady!! You look like the daughter of the other lady. And I've said it before, but you are gorgeous!!! Imagine what another 50 pounds will look like!!??!!

Also, I agree that you can definitely train and prepare for a 1/2 marathon in the next 5 months. You are already in decently good shape. My mom did a 10k (yes, I realize this is less than 1/2 the distance of a 1/2 marathon) at 50 with zero training and having not exercised in years. And she did great. So I think with your age, fitness level, and the amount of prep you can do, you should do great!!
