Love the pics Melanie! Great dress

Definitely in for a fall challenge. Just realized today that I've got 3 weeks and then I have to hit the exercise trail like everyone else. Yikes! Hoping that it will be the ticket to feeling really good once I get going.

Enjoy the pool!!

I can't believe I missed posting in a few days!

Love the dress! How tall are you? You make 199 look pretty good .

I think just being a mom of young kids should be enough exercise to make us stick thin! Too bad it does not really work that way .

I gotta go look for the Autumn goal thing.

So today is my little girls 2nd Birthday!!!! We plan on having a fun day. Going to head out soon for lunch and then probably a pool day!!!

Tonight we will probably see some family and head into town for a car cruise that they are having and then tomorrow is her birthday party.

Doing good on plan. Scale is stuck at 201.

I will be around to everyones journals later tonight. Gotta get moving.

Maggie~ Thanks.

Amber~ Thank you. I'm kind of sad that my baby is two. Not 100% sure that we are not having a third but most days I realize that the baby bus is probably long gone for us. I am enjoying this cute stage so much and really wish that I could freeze time. She is so stinking cute and getting to watch her learn something new everyday is AMAZING!!!! She is starting to talk so much right now and currently her saying "Pep ur roni" Pepperoni is so stinking adorable and makes me laugh every time. I was getting her to say it at my mom and dads tonight and the last time she said it in this really silly voice and we were all cracking up. I'm also struggling with my oldest daughter and making sure I give her tons of attention. Its hard because dd2 is doing so many new cute things and I feel like DD5 is being slighted for it. My mom had a video of DD2 singing row row row your boat, sitting in a tub of water using a plastic golf club for an oar. and the whole time dd5 was trying to get in the shot and take over. I voiced my concerns to my mom as well so she can be aware of it too and dote on dd5 too.

Melissa~ True. Thank you.

So we had a great day. The girls and I went to lunch at our favorite place, I let the girls get a milkshake for the special occasion. Then we went to the kiddie pool for a few hours. The kids played and had a blast. Home for dd2 to take a nap. Then me and the girls went in town to the car cruise. Afterwards it was to my mom and dads house to see my sister who had just got home. Had a good visit with them and then home to bed. I wish DH would have been able to join us. I worked all week getting the stuff done around here that I could do for the bday party, but he had things he needed to get done tonight since he works until 1:30 tomorrow and the party is at 5:00. So we went without him. I ran into an old friend that I used to work with years and years ago. Her and I talked a little bit. It was nice to reconnect.

Ok, heading to bed. Another busy day is in store for tomorrow. Taking the kids swimming with my mom and sister. Then I need to run to the store for veggies and salad. I wanted to wait until the day of for fresh veggies. I also still need to make the birthday cake and also my low carb cake for me and DH to eat. Oh and run the sweeper and clean bathroom.

Talk to you all later.

Melanie- happy birthday to your baby, I agree that the 2's were not terrible I loved 18-26 months the best I think, although every age is good with your own kid, but everything made them laugh they couldnt really talk back yet, everything they did was cute, LOL Oh those days, it goes so freaking fast enjoy every minute!!! I have my one and watching him become so manly it is so scary I still see him as my little baby and he is almost my height already! So enjoy your day with family!!!!
No more babies once you get all skinny!!!! LOL

Aw, what a fun time you guys had. Today sounds like lots of fun too!

I have 3. My oldest and my middle are 21 months apart, and between my middle and my baby they're 23, nearly 24 months apart exactly. I loved every stinkin second of infancy and toddlerhood with them. 3 toddlers at one time was nutso and I have no idea how I did it but I loved it! I would be happy to restart all over again with them and have replay..so fun!! Hard to believe my "baby" is going to be 16 next month! Of course now that we are almost nearly empty-nesters I am enjoying my freedom too! And hey, we are still really young enough to enjoy it all!

Omg, Danielle is far too young to have a 16 y/o.

Mel - We are one and done. I'm mostly happy with it, although we didn't really get to decide. So I understand your feelings on trying to decide and/or come to grips with the decision. My son is 2.5 and I agree that this is the absolute best age. He's a major talker and says stuff daily that makes me laugh. If you figure out how to freeze time, let me know!

Hi Melanie,

Glad you had a great day!! Sounds like you will be super busy tomorrow too. Have fun.

To chime in on the kiddo discussion, we have one, a seven-year-old boy. He has lots of attitude, but he is fun and manageable for the most part. And so smart too!!

Enjoy all of your time with family; it's precious, isn't it??

Hugs,

Jenna

For those of you wanting to keep the toddler years around....

They DO COME BACK

only often you get more of them *kids & years*

It is called grandchildren!

AND it comes with some big benefits:

You dont have all the expense
You get lots more hugs
You are much more appreciated
Very seldom get any kind of lip from them
Did I say get lots more hugs & kisses
Get to have all the fun with little of the work
Every day is very special because they look forward to doing everything with you
They are more anxious to learn because you are so smart
Snuggles in bed are so wonderful at the end of the day when you are not done in from chasing them all day
Have to repeat all the hugs & KISSES
Oh & did I mention they can go home to mom & dad when you are tired or want to go on R&R.....
Granparenting is wonderful!

WHAT HAPPENS AT GRANDMA'S..... NEVER HAPPENED!!

All the benefits & your kids get to do all the work!
Karma??????

Faithful~ I will keep that in mind. Sounds wonderful.

Amber~ The party was great!!!!

We had a good time at the little ones party. The kids played in the water and we all just sat around and watched. DD2 was not real interested in her presents, she opened a few things but then wanted to play more so I finished. My low carb cake was a hit!!!!! Noone could even tell it was low carb. If I figured out the carbs right there were only 2.6 carbs per piece. Not bad!!!!! Of course we also had a regular cake that I made too. It was from a Dora cake pan. My mother in law took cake decorating classes and she decorated it for me. I was going to attempt it, but figured she could do a better job and she did. My uncle brought over a paper lantern that he left off. It floats away like a hot air balloon. It was pretty cool. DH started a fire in the fire pitt and I was hoping to sit around it last night after the girls went to bed, but everyone was party poopers and left. DH was also tired and went to bed. I didn't feel like sitting out there by myself.

Not sure what is on the agenda for the day, but I hope we find something fun to do. Have a great day everyone!!!!

Melanie- my uncle gets those paper lanterns and sets them off whenever the kids are all together, I love them, and they look so pretty going up in the air, like in Rapunzel, that is what started it for his DGD, now even us big kids ask for the lanterns, LOL, Glad she had a good day it is nice for her to take her time and open things when she feels like it I think then they appreciate each thing more, rather than the overwhelming of all the new stuff!

Amber~ They sure do look pretty. The kids enjoyed them so much.

So today I am back at strict induction. I have been doing the carb creep a little too much and its time to reign this back in today.

So far...
B: Atkins shake

I have training tonight. I need to eat before I go and need to figure out what I am going to eat.

Melanie,

Glad your party went well. The discussion about smores made me think of our recent camping trip. We couldn't have a fire because of the forest fire restrictions, so no smores for us. But I have many fond memories of sitting around a campfire, "smorring" it up!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I understand the "carb creep" too. Here while we are in Vegas, it's been a lot more than just a "creep." But that's part of the fun. When I get back, 100% on plan!!

Take care!
Hugs, Jenna

Good job on jumping back on strict induction. It's good for us to refocus every few months. And s'mores?? I couldn't refuse a real one. Soooooo good.

Thats what i've had to do except i'm doing very low carb for a few days then i'll up my carb in take up. I think i'll do the beginning of the week at VLC then the end of the week higher but still under 20g. i did this a few years back and lost ALOT that way!

Jenna~ Yes definitely part of the fun. Have fun, but not too much.

Amber~ I'm glad that there weren't any smores around this past weekend. It would have been hard to resist for sure.

Lexi~ Sounds like an awesome plan!!!!

So the scale is moving in the right direction finally. It was 202.4 yesterday and today it was 201. Looking forward to getting back in the 100's and staying there. I didn't go to ZUMBA this past week and missed it. Definitely going this week.

Kids and I are heading out for a walk. Its a beautiful day!!! Have a great Tuesday ladies!!!
