Danielle~ Hoping it helps too. It has helped my husbands health tremendously. Now just to work on his portion control.

I didn't get my workout in today. I am however going to ZUMBA tomorrow night. Its so hard to workout at home with the kids in tow and at my toes. I need to find a good way to workout and keep them occupied while I do it. DH has been so busy working that he hasn't been around much in the evening to help occupy them.

I am hoping this will do it for dh! He loved how he felt before doing this so hopefully it will give him the motivation to stick with things and remember that this doesn't mean a free-for-all. Time will tell the man loves his meals! LOL

Exercise has to happen at some point, I know this. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dreading it. It's so freakin hot here and unless I am up at the buttcrack of dawn (and even then that doesnt help!) or late in the evening it's absolutely miserable. So. I gotta figure out something. DVD's bore the heck out of me but I may need to suck it up and "just do it".

Does your zumba class have childcare? With ds (2), I cannot workout unless dh takes him. Our gym does not have childcare and ds will not sit quietly yet and wait. Hopefully you can go tonight, cause it's Thursday and you always say that this class leads to weight loss for Friday morn.

Good morning ladies!!!! The whoosh fairy was nice to me last night. 203.8 this morning!!!! I don't remember much about last night. I took the kids to bed last night and laid down with them while they fell asleep and I fell asleep too. I don't even remember going into my room through the night.

Danielle~ I completely agree about the eating. I think thats the biggest thing, is to eat in moderation for the men. As for exercise, its a must. I have really seen a difference in my body as I lose the weight I can see my body transforming too. Try and find a gym that has a/c. My gym does and it makes such a difference when its so hot.

Amber~ They do have childcare but we haven't tried it yet. That may be an option this summer. I could take the kids in there while I work out for an hour. That stinks that your gym doesn't have child care. I am definitely going to ZUMBA tonight. DH knows that Thursdays are non negotiable!!!

Nikki~ Isn't she funny. ZUMBA is so much fun, you should definitely check it out!!!

Hello Ladies, this is copied from Maggie's journal.... May make this a thread as well. So be looking for that.

Quite a few of us need to get some exercise in so maybe we can play a game called "Exercise Tag." It is just like the game we all played as children and may still even play with our children if they are young and if we can move that fast. Anyhoo this is how the game is played IF you want to participate. You don't have to play and all spectators are ed. Each emoticon represents a certain type of exercise you will be tagged to do. The object is to do the exercise that you have been tagged to do, say you have accomplished it and go and tag someone else to do certain types of exercise. When you tag someone please say "Tag, you're it!" You get the picture? That person will in turn tag someone else and the game goes on until we tire of it and I can see we tire of it because at that point no one is playing. Just kidding, I thought this would be a way to have some summer fun and get some exercise in when we become boring in our journals and have relatively nothing to say(I'm talking about myself here, don't get your big girl panties in a twist! ) Let the game begin, oh wait we need participants so are any of you game(game get it game)? If so down below you will see what each emoticon means in the way of exercise. BTW- when tagged it is the honor system when you say you have done the exercise or not, only you know if you have spoken the truth and your clothes will know it as well. Enough of my yapping here is what the emoticons represent......

Note: If I didn't explain a certain exercise well enough let me know and also for any reason you can't do a particular exercise because of an issue just modify it to your capabilites. You can also tag someone to do more than just one exercise to challenge that person more.

Exercise Tag

= 25 Jumping Jacks

= 25 arm lifts with any weight of your choosing/hold arms out in front of you bring them in bending at elbow bring toward chest then out again 25 times/ then arms out to your side bending in again at elbow to your shoulders then out to side, do this 25 times.

= 5 Mintues of Cardio jogging in place. Jog lightly for those with bad kness just walk in place for 5 minutes whichever works for your body.

= Legs but without the laughing because you won't be laughing when you are done! Lie on your right side on the floor and lift you leg up and down 25 times and do the same with your left leg, up and down 25 times.

= 25 Push Ups - if you can do the mens kind do so but if you can't do the womans kind with knees bent and pushing up 25 times.

= 5 minutes of dancing to any music of your choice but NO Justin Beiber! Just kidding, Beiber away as long as you do it!

= 25 Butterflies across your chest. Use any weights of your choosing and with elbows bent and arms in front of chest bring arms out across your side and then back into the center of your chest 25 times. So in and then out, in and then out.

= 25 Abdominal Crunches. Get down on the floor! You heard me! Yea that hard thing below your feet that is hard getting up from because you don't exercise! You should know how to do these.

= 25 Knee to Elbow Crunches for Ab's. Standing straight bring right elbow and left knee to touch eachother and then cross over and do the same with your left elbow to right knee. If you are good at these and want to challenge yourself a little more do them fast as you can, but if you are like me and can barely touch your elbows to you knees then don't sweat it. Do the best you can!

= 8 oz's of good ole H20. You can add this to any of your tags to encourage us all to get our water in. No, it can't be coffee or any other beverage of choice but just plain ole' water. Okay you can have your slice of lemon if it means that much to you!

So these are our exercise tag emoticons, please don't forget to include them. If you want to participate in this crazy game then let me know by posting here on my journal that you are crazy enough to join in it. If at any time you do not want to participate anymore then just let me know, no hard feelings, I will look Hot for summer so don't be hating!

The game will officially start on Monday the 4th of June, why not doesn't almost every diet!

So any takers on this Exercise Tag Game for summer? :dunno

With the tag, you'd have to say that you can't tag the same person every time, right? And what if you tag me, but I don't check the thread for days? Does everyone get to be lazy and wait? Am I over thinking?

I am going to take a walk with the kids. Well push ds1 in stroller while walking with ds5. Then get some flowers at greenhouse and plant them and pull weeds. That is if it doesn't rain too much. Just remembered its supposed to rain. If so, then I am going to do some cardio workout from the tv fitness channel.
