JEN IS MAKING THE CUT!!
Well I am starting a journal so that I can keep a better track of my diet/exercise. It will be easier for me to come to my journal to see my progress then keep going back to different threads to see what I was doing to drop pounds. So I'll be checkin in here everyday to chart my weight, along with the food I am eating and my exercise.
Today so far: No excercise in the a.m Weight: 161.6 Breakfast 2 eggs scrambled w/mozzarella 3 strawberries & very small slice of cantaloupe - 5 1 Chobani Greek Yogurt sweetened with 1 equal - 7

So what's going to happen with the scale tomorrow? I got a funny feeling it AIN"T going to be no thing nice. Well, if so, what I think I'm going to do is tweak some things to get out of the 150's. This simply means dropping the fruit and the yogurt for a few days. That should do the trick! Veggies are fine. I bought about 20 containers of Greek yogurt today on sale for 1.00 at Giant. I love them. Tomorrow is a Rest Day in Jillian's Program, so it will be a great day for my carbs to drop some. I do, however, want to sneak in a jog in the a.m. We'll see. Unfortunately its supposed to snow! ![]() So we'll see what the scale says tomorrow and go from there. Let's see what can have tomorrow... Hmm.. I have turkey burgers in the freezer and tilapia. Both are easy to make. I'd rather have the turkey burger though. I really want to be 158 by Sunday! |

Weight: 163.0 WTH?
Well, there you have it. I will cut out the fruits and yogurts until I am back into ketosis. I guess switching from higher carbs to less now, I need to bring them down far enough for me to get back into ketosis and then slowly add the carbs back. So today will be sweet and simple. small cup of coffee w/ half & half 3 eggs scrambled w/ 1 non diary chese tuna w/ mayo & 1/4 cup shredded cheddar I'm not sure about dinner yet. |

small cup of coffee w/ half & half
3 eggs scrambled w/ 1 non diary chese salad w/ ranch tuna w/ mayo & 1/4 cup shredded cheddar I guess.. I do know one thing. I have to stop eating out. I am spending WAAY too much money on foods. Like today I went to Giant to make a salad for lunch when I already brough in the tuna. Now why did I do that. I am spending money unnecessarily and I don't like that. So the rest of the day should be little to no carbs. All my carbs for the day should have came from my salad. So the tuna with cheese probably would be great for dinner. We'll see what I end up choosing later. I'm trying my best to get in ketosis without dropping all the veggies, even though I know this is the fastest way! |

Yes, apparently it is. Its more than 1500 calories. Its more like 1700 calories and 20 carbs (including my veggies from my salad).
Alrighty. Guess I'd better just DO BETTER! I may need to skip breakfast for a while and go back to eating lunch/dinner. It'll save me some calories. I'll still have my coffee and water though. When things don't add up, I guess that's exactly what you have to do - STARTING ADDING EVERYTHING UP! I guess I'm so resistant to counting calories for fear that the fat is going to make them add up fast. PLUS, I don't like feeling like I ran out of calories for the day. I swear, I have eaten very HIGH calorie and my weight was moving along. Jeez, just last month, before this fiasco with my change in plans... I was down to 157, while eating loads, and I mean LOADS of fat! I was going out eating PRIME RIB dipped in butter for goodness sake. More calories, less calories. I dont know. I have to talk this out to figure things out for myself. Well, when I was eating the prime rib dipped in butter, I was definitely having less carbs... I think... Let me go back and check. Lawd! Give me strength! |

ATKINS 72. DAY 2. WEIGHT: 163.0
Meals
Workout A.m.: Jogged for 20 minutes, then proceeded to do Jillian's workout (Day 18) I think the Powerade helps with my electrolyte balance. The last time I did 72' I felt sick a lot... I guess from losing electrolytes. There was definitely some kind of imbalance going on. This time, much beter! I feel great! Even when I workout in the morning! Yaay! I hate when I can't go back and edit a post...
Well to keep count, I am adding things as I eat them.. So today. Day 3
Tonight I am going to happy hour. I checked the menu out, but I am hoping that the Rev rolls and butter keep me satisfied so that I am not too hungry when I get there!! I don't plan to drink alcohol. I am really just going for the scenery, and to get out of the house... something that SINGLE people SHOULD do! (I gotta keep telling myself that!) Anyway, I will probably just order a cesar salad and ask for oil and vinegar dressing.. and voila.. still on plan! Let's just pray it goes that way! |

oh Ashley! I'm here to help! I'm sorry. I have been out all day. Its about 12:30a.m right now and I jumped on here to see what I've missed.
I had to look up the recipe where I originally got this from because I don't measure my mayo. I just put a couple squirts. But you CAN overdo it with the mayo so you dont want to put any extra. 8 eggs, separated 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar 3 Tbs. of Hellman's Mayonaise You can ask me as many questions as you want! |

Thank you so much!! That is different than the recipe I use for oopsie rolls, so after you get those ingredients what do you do? And how many does it make? So far today I have had jello and heavy whipping cream so I am ok so far right? I dont know why this 72 thing is so confusing to me! Thank you so much for your help it means alot

Here's the whole recipe. I don't use the cheese but probably will one day. I'm always just trying to throw it together quickly... Here you go:
Revolution Rolls - 12 Rolls 8 eggs, separated 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar 3 Tbs. of Hellman's Mayonaise Put whites and cream of tartar in a large bowl. With an electric mixer, beat until whites are stiff..(don't move in the bowl), but not dry. NOTE: Separate the whites from the yolk in a separte container because I've noticed if you get any yolk in your whites then they won't beat as fluffy. In a medium bowl, mix yolks, mayonaise, Mix until well blended. Dump all the yolks on top of the whites mixture.. Gently fold the mixtures together. Do not "mix" you must "fold" Either using a muffin-top pan (which has been sprayed with Pam) or a cookie sheet, plop 6 mounds. NOTE: I put the base on and make sure it's spread then pile it up so it's high. Add sprinkles of cheese to the tops (optional). Bake at 300 for 25-30 minutes until well browned...Cool on rack and then store in baggies in the fridge. |
