So I'm down 4lbs. Slow and steady, I keep telling myself this. I am taking this REALLY slow. Giving up one thing at a time. This time I'm scared to do it all in one go cos with life being the way it is - I'll flip and give up. So last week I gave up bread, this week its regular sugar. I bought some stevia products (Stevia has finally been okay'd by the EU) so we can buy it mainstream. I don't like! Going to stick to Xylitol. Agave nectar has a bad rap, but it works for me and with me so I'm not gonna go mad on giving that up. I'm cooking more, and loving it again. This is the way forward. Slow and steady GP, alow and steady.

Walking as much as the knee permits, but doing it all the same. I have been 'walking' on my mini trampoline.
I think will start posting my daily activity...yes must remember to do that.

One day at a time...one step at a time.
Sometimes the smallest step is the biggest.

X
Hey, Glam. Congrats on those four pounds! That's GREAT. The small steps SEEM like small steps now, but they're going to make BIG diffences by this summer if you keep staying positive, committed, determined.

Discipline. We know what that is, and it's not always easy, but its rewards are immeasureable:

DISCIPLINE

It's about doing the right thing and the hard thing
at a time when you'd rather be doing something else.

One day of discipline leads to another day of discipline,
building body and mind simultaneously.
It's a choice we make.

I think it's a great idea to post daily, or at least as often as you can, while you're working towards your goals. It helps to keep a person focused, accountable, aware of what they've accomplished and aware of what it takes to keep moving in the right direction. It's the nudge that we all need, seeing it in black and white, day in and out.

It's also a good idea to at least TRY to start tracking your meals at some point in the future. It's a bit time consuming, but it's time spent on doing something productive for ourselves rather than time spent being lazy, or overeating, or brooding, or whatever other kind of destructive course we choose. (And just think of how much time we waste doing things that serve no constructive purpose, but yet we seem to find the time for them...?)

Account to yourself, Glam. Listen to yourself, speak to yourself, congratulate yourself, motivate yourself.

Make it all come together little by little.

YOU CAN DO IT.

Hope you have a great day. (Keep up the walking!)

[QUOTE=WATCH-ME-SHRINK;15382048][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Hey, Glam. Congrats on those four pounds! That's GREAT. [B][SIZE="3"]The small steps SEEM like small steps now, but they're going to make BIG diffences by this summer if you keep I'm gonna stick this as a daily reminder on my phone. Never thought of it in that way.

I'm taking note of the food I eat as of today, I remember how much it helped me before and well I need all the help I can get.

I do know that I love eggs...and noticed that I can always drop a spot of agave nectar in to them while they're cooking and the satisfy my sweet craving.
Everyday is a doing day...

Thanks T.

Not a happy bunny. Had a sad day, just typical low day and did what I always do and grabbed a couple of bars of chocolate and had them with my cuppa. Now I'm kicking myself. I forgot how bad this awful guilty feeling is. And I'm so damn angry at myself. Seriously why couldn't and didn't I resist...
I need to come up with some 'sweets' that I can have on my low days. I also think my meds aren't working right.

Right tomorrow is another day.

This is what I hope the meal plan for tomorrow will be..

Breakfast - Fage with a few strawberries.

Lunch - Quorn mince with my own homemade marinara (creamed tomatoes, small onion, garlic, ginger, oregano and a touch of agave to sweeten) with miracle noodles

Dinner - Portabello mushroom with a small topping of marinara, cheese, tomato, red onion with a massive salad.

Ok so I'm keeping my carbs to a 20-30 grams limit and still not losing weight. I wonder is it my meds?
On Sunday I got the most awful cold. Sickness and earache. Apparantly a viral infection!..YUK!
Still on the wagon even though I am not losing. It'll happen, I just need to be patient, maybe look at options...

P90x day 1 completed - was very difficult however not just phyically challenging (which it really was phew) BUT because of the injury to my knee I could not complete past the 5th set of push ups. I may redo wk one next week, but I look forward to it. I'm so delighted I've started it. Better still I have got hubby doing it with me. He took it very seriously. I'm a very happy bunny today - can you tell?

Its awfully hard to come back after falling, failing and heartbreak, but I am back.

The only thing that is different this time is that I'm not awaiting surgery. All surgery is done (I hope). This is me post hysterectomy and reaffirming my goals aloud. I'm doing this..with your help.

70 to go. Thanks for being here with me. For your PM's (you know who you are!), for everything.

Oh I forgot to mention that people are noticing too. Usually that would send me in to a 'rewarding myself with junk' scenario...but nope, not this time. This time its my push to keep going. I love this WOE. I'm learning to love life again.

So I had not had any bad carbs, no sugar, no fizzy drinks or junk really for over 2 weeks, and I lost a fair bit of weight. My skin became so clear. Rosecea cleared. And then yesterday I was out with friends, and tried an 'experiment', (I had actually forgotten to eat before I went out)...I had a small bowl of pasta (tortellini) and I had a few mouthfuls of sticky toffee pudding. And firstly, I felt so bloated and sick. Honestly it was an awful feeling. Then last night I had the worst sleep. So restless and just bleh! And then to top it off I had what I can only describe as a Carb/Sugar hangover. I will never do that to my body again. Ever. The perfect reason right there never to eat crappy foods. Even if it is only a few mouthfuls.

Just don't do it. Its not worth it, it'll never be worth it.
