T - thanks for that. I am getting stronger and stronger daily. Thank the Lord.

I have been neglecting my journal somewhat, things have been a little mad and though I have been taking part in other challenges, I'm still not accountable to myself and those that have shown faith in me until I write in my journal - does that make sense?

So as of June 1st I have a set of mini goals and a main goal...before I get in to that I have to tell you that I managed to do my Race for Life yesterday. I only managed to walk it for two reasons, on Saturday night, I had twinges in my side, very painful, I actually thought I would have no decline taking part, and also is was so very hot here. The hottest day of the year so far. Anyway - I took part, and I walked it and completed it in 37 mins. Not the fastest time. But I don't care, I did it when I thought I wouldn't be able to. I did it!
When I do it next year, God willing I will run it.

Anyway do on to my mini goals first of all -

Next week I fly home to England for my best friends Hen do. I want to lose at least 5lbs, anything more will be ace!
Then June 27th is my cousins wedding so I wanna lose at least another 3 (8 in total) anything else will be an amazing bonus.

It is my birthday on July 9th and I would like to be 1 stone lighter ( 1 stone = 14lbs!)
Before the year is out I want to have reached my goal. I will be thinner and fitter and have the body I desire. My health woes are still about but I will not allow them to have complete control over me. I will get there one day at a time.

I plan on continuing Callanetics 4 x a week. Both Evolution and 10 in 10. I will be walking daily, without fail. A proper walk - ready to kick butt kinda walking!
I will be journalling again properly - to keep me focused and accountable.

So this is it, this is me, these are my goals. I'm gonna do this. I take back control. This is my time!

I have started JUDDD again. Even if just to kick start my WL I think I need to do it. People have had amazing successes on it. I also got my New Rules of Lifting for women book this morning. I hope to follow its nutrition once I get round to read it all. Getting more carbs in to my diet when strength training makes sense - however I will not be able to do this until we get this house. I can't afford a gym membership right now and we're if we get this house we'd never be able to get to a gym as the commute to Belfast would be in excess of an hour. So we're hoping that once we get a house we'll be buying a bench, barbell etc which will be just perfect.

Had some not so great news about the mortgage, we were declined as we didn't have a credit history - no credit cards or debts etc. Which means they don't know how we are with money. So its now being appealed. We're sensible with our money and have saved a decent amount. So its not that we have bad credit, just no record of it. Does that make sense?
Please God help us out here!

My arms are really gross. Really flabby and I am working them hard to get them in to a decent shape!

I forgot to mention that I am planning on doing the 100 push up challenge too. Anything to build up my upper body and my arms. I want Twyla's arms....!!

You can do it G! This is similar to the exercise plan I follow, 3 days of Callanetics and interval walking nearly every day. Let's keep us other accountable!

Kelley, Rich and Dani -

Thanks so much for your support. I feel like I let you down, all of you. Things just went so bad last week. Eating well, went out of the window. No exercise. Just crap. A mixture of stress and depression, circumstance and helplessness. But hopefully things will sort out now. We're trying.
I am going for a blasting walk in a little while AND CALLANETICS! I will do this. I have a twinge in my back and neck, but I think I'll be ok. I'll do what I can.
Thanks for all your support, I hope that I haven't let you down....I didn't handle the stresses of the last month or two at all well.

G, glad to see you putting your goals down in writing. Externalizing AND internalizing our goals help to meld motivation and dedication.

Never let a day go by that you don't firmly visualize your goals. See yourself every day, many times a day, the way you'll look and feel when you've accomplished those goals. Remind yourself EVERY day that if it's to be, it's up to me.

Then do it. Don't look back. Just do it.

Thanks Dani - Honestly that means a lot. I know full well that I am emotional eater. I seem to have lost all good habits in the last few weeks. Repetition is the key to success. I need to make constant (re)affirmations to myself. From little things like I do not eat bread, starch, sugar to I am worth it. I deserve a better life.
I feel like I am starting right from the very beginning again, and though it does no harm, its a little upsetting. But I am determined to make this happen. And with good friends and good advice and the grace of My beloved Lord, I shall do it!....

G, I think that everyone goes through times when they slip up, don't eat as well, don't exercise etc. It sounds like you are determined to get back on target (which is great). We are here to support you. I am so glad that you posted what you are going through. You will get on track and you are right, you deserve a great life. A happy, healthy, great life.

Sending you smiles.

Ok so...the last time I posted was to say that I was gonna journal and stay accountable, and that was all well intentioned, and was before we entered the world of "house owners"...How stressful is this? Its so gonna be worth it, but its mad.

Ok so tomorrow we begin the move (we have to be out of our place on Monday!) We haven't packed everything yet, as we keep tripping over boxes. So tomorrow we hire a van, load what we've packed, pack and load some more. Drive to the house (about an hour away). Go to MILS, get all the stuff we packed and left there, drop that at the house. Drive back to the flat. Sleep in sleeping bags. Get up early on Sat, get an 8 hour ferry to England, drive home, pick up all my stuff from home - incl. the furniture my wonderful parents are giving me. Leaving home on Sunday at 5am, getting the ferry back. Driving to the house. Dropping all our stuff off again. Then driving back up to the flat, sleep in sleeping bags, getting up early Monday to drop hire van back. Come back to the flat, meet landlord, get deposit back. Then I go back to the house, hubby goes to work, and we meet at 11 pm!!

.............but its all gonna be worth it!

Just wanted to let everyone know what was going on. I'm not being complacent here, its just we're so busy right now. I should be back soon, but don't think we'll have the net there for a while so I'll pop by as soon as.
Hope all is well with each of you. Miss you guys!

Complacent? No way. You're in over your head with life and responsibilities that need your full energy and attention right now...the fitness and finding a "routine" will follow once you settle in.

First things first.

Hang in there....

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!

Another flying visit - no access to the net, am tapped on wireless at the mo. Just wanted to say I'm sorry I haven't been around. Things are so hectic. I have me a job, but I don't start till Sept sometime, it has yet to be confirmed. In the meantime the house is a complete mess. Still living out of boxes - but we're getting there slowly. We had many a teething problem when we moved in - no hot water, leaks in kitchen and other such - but they're getting fixed one by one...

I really miss you all. I need to get back on to this site, I need the support.

Hope all is well with all.

Miss ya!

Hey!

So I'm just popping by to say I am Lcing again as of tomorrow. Since we moved in, it has all been about lazy convinience crap. But I have bought a ton of eggs and will be egg creaming and scramble egging and cooking proper. I have to say since we moved in I have been cooking a lot more - we have gas now! But one good meal a day just aint enough!
I really miss not being able to log on as often as I like - but I will be able to soon I hope.
I have to run now - we have visitors, will be back!
Miss you!
