It will depend on what you put in it but you can just break it up by ingredients to figure it out. Or, if it's listed on Linda Sue's site she would have all the macros there but you might have to change it a little if you don't use her exact recipe. Whatever you do make sure to top it with some butter or cream cheese to keep the cals/fat up.
Doesn't it feel crazy to have someone telling you to eat more fat and cals? It definitely flies in the face of everything we have ever heard/done before! I'm glad you felt good overall today. If you get hungry don't hesitate to eat a snack--just try to stay with fat and veggies and minimal protein for snacks--like veggies and dip, mac nuts, etc. If you are low on protein go ahead and have a snack that's a bit higher but also make sure the fat is up--something like deviled eggs or a half a serving of meat dipped in lots of mayo-that kind of thing. When will you weigh again?

Oh yeah, forgot to say that the menu looks good. Check the macros and see if there is any tweaking that needs to be done to get anything up or down.
I've never tried the mock potato salad, I might have to check that out. |

![]() I weigh in on monday morning again. I really feel like this is going to work. It may take a couple of weeks but it will work. I decided last night (just for kicks) to check the ketone strips and guess what in just 2 days it was the darkest purple I have ever had. That really made me feel more confident. |

Ugg, bummer on the bacon.
Well, we know you are in high fat burning mode, now let's hope that the scale reflects that. I know the scale isn't the most important thing, but I also know that by now you have got to be needing that validation of a lower number for all the effort you have been putting in!So I keep meaning to ask--what type of sweeteners do you use and how much/how often? |

Good thinking on the sweeteners. I've been reading more and more lately about splenda causing stalls, break outs, headaches, etc. No clue if there is any validity to any of that but eliminating it right now as much as possible is good. One more thing--watch sodium content. Even if you don't cut it down--kind of keep an eye on it so we can determine if that might be a contributer.
Have a good day! |

Lookin good! Did you check out your macros? I know, it's a pain and normally I don't even recommend it but for this week anyway I think it's a good idea.

Fantastic job! No, the cals aren't over at all. I think 2100 was actually the low end of your range so staying within a couple hundred calories of that (preferably on the high end) is great. Make sure to add some fat to that chicken at lunch.
Have you made honey mustard dressing before? Just mayo, mustard, sour cream, a bit of vinegar and a pinch of sweetener or sf honey. It tastes much better if it sits in the fridge for a few hours first but it's still good eaten right away. Or how about oil and vinegar--personally I'm not a big fan of that but lots of people are. There are a lot of recipes around here for homemade dressings--just do a search in the recipe threads or look in the recipe room. Actually I'm pretty sure there are some on Linda Sue's site. Blue cheese would be a really good one--lots of fat. Have a good one! |

I make it with mayo, sf honey, mustard, lemon juice, black pepper. I try to avoid dressings with sour cream. I don't like the flaver but I like dips with sour cream Crazy huh!!!! I like blue cheese pretty well. Thanks it is still hard to make myself eat more cals and fat. |

OK the menu has changed just a bit. It is :
bf- 2/3 omm ( had to go to surgery and didn't get it finished) l- chicken breast, mock potato salad, nuts (1 oz) s- 1 oz mac nuts ( that is the first time I have ever tried them and I like them) d- flat iron steak (4 oz), salad w/ ranch dsg, strawberries w/ whipped cream macros for today are: 2154 cals, 179.7 fats, 25.2 carbs, 81.7 proteins. Not too bad I think. Proteins could be a little lower, but hey fats and cals are great right. I am really excited about weighing in on monday. So far I have exercised mon- thurs. Not a lot but something every day, and still no soda and sf gum.

New picture huh Jenn? Looks great.
I never measure, weight or figure out my protein, calories etc. Just know to keep my carbs low. I think it would help me but be a real pain. |

Yesterdays menus/macros look fantastic--you are definitely getting the hang of this! And great job on no gum/soda!! ![]() Bekki--I totally agree--keeping track of any of that stuff is a pain and I personally only recommend it as a last resort when trying to figure out what is going on. |
