The weekend was great but gained a pound and not sure why. I am going grocery shopping in a bit and will be buying a tape measure. Plus a small notebook so I can write down exactly what I am eating every day and I will be measuring for a bit.
For dinner last night we had an amazing meal. Put a bib on cuz you will be drooling friends.... bacon wrapped scallops(2 huge ones per person) shrimp in butter and garlic peppers wrapped in bacon 1/2 avocado BBQ oysters on the half shell w/ garlic butter, parm cheese and green tabasco sauce I was so full I could hardly finish it all. This morning I had 2 strips of bacon and 3 over easy eggs. No lunch cuz we got up late but we will be having either taco salad or herion wings tonight. Can not decide as of yet. I am wondering if I should try the zero carb plan and see if I can get over this hump. I am consuming water like a fish and working out.

I found the recipe somewhere online...it isn't mine. I have made them so many times that it is all in my head now. Anyway...here you go. Enjoy!
1 pound of sausage. I use Jimmy Dean hot sausage 12 eggs 6 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream 2 cup bag of shredded cheese. Cook and crumble the sausage then drain. Mix eggs and heavy whipping cream together Put equal amounts of sausage into muffin tins. I use the silicone muffin pans and spray before putting the sausage in. Pour egg and whipping cream mixture into muffin tins. Add cheese to the top of sausage, egg, and whipping cream mixture in muffin tins. I use the whole 2 cups. I like cheese...what can I say. Preheat oven to 350 and cook for 25 minutes. Remove from tins and let cool, then put 2 muffins into ziploc sandwhich bags and throw in the fridge. You can add whatever you want to too them. I've put bacon, red peppers and onions in them. Just add what ever you like. I like these because they are quick and easy. I can grab them in the morning and head out the door to work.

That menu did make me drool!! How yummy ![]() I am LOVING ZC, it is a good fit for me. It's just meat and water. I can understand that it wouldn't be for everyone, but I am going to give it a good 60 to 90 days at 100%. Phil, thanks for the recipe...I may try to make it ZC friendly! Peace |

like livytim-mom my ZC journey is going amazingly easy! of course yesterday was not zc because we were invited to dh's colleagues house for dinner. they did thankfully serve filet, but had risotto and asparagus. so i had to munch on some asparagus so it wouldnt be awkward. anyway long story short, its so miraculously easy. id ont have to worry. i feel very relaxed and dont worry about what to make or what i will eat. the answer is so easy. regarding being up a pound, i woudl say its the bacon and sodium from that meal. no worrying about it though. tihs would happen especially if you were eating out for that meal. restaurants use all kinds of sodium and msg that we are unaware of. hope you had a great start to your week!! i somehow managed ot have a pretty good monday ![]()

164.9!!! yeah I broke out of the 165's. I know it sounds funny but I am so happy. I have not been 164 in forever. just a pound less then yesterday and not even a whole pound but I am estatic!!!!
I have been eating on plan with the exception of 20 grams carbs. Sometimes I eat close but sometimes not even close. I checked out the ZC post. Although it looks great I know its not for me. Someday I want to enjoy a baked potatoe or peas. Sounds odd but I do want to eat them one day. I am going to do 45 minutes at least on the Wii fit. Kind of getting bared with this game. I think I will get myself the Jillian work out game for the fit. Happy V day to me!!!! It is snowing here. A mix between rain and snow. So yucky here!! |

I just got done doing 1 hour 3 minutes on the Wii Fit. (Total time so far in 31 days=13.26 hours.) 2 rounds of boxing and 1 round of hula hooping and yoga and strenght training(10 minutes of hula hoop and I am beat). Now to start cleaning my garbage/spare room so I can paint Monday (day off for me) and turn it into my office. I am decorating in a Coca Cola theme since I have so much of there stuff from working there.

Found some great LC fudge bars at the grocery store. 3 Grams per bar. I am in heaven and even have portion control.
I bought a bar of Lindt chocolate 90%. Any time I have a square I wake up the next morning with a small bump on my tongue. Like I ate to much sugar!!! I love the chocolate but hate the bump!! |

lc fudge bars? have never seen them anywhere!! what brand?
you know what i realized and have been learning for about a month now? every person will need ot find a plan that works for you. some people can do moderate carb moderate fat. some can do high fat zero carb. and some can even tolerate high carb. the important aspect of any diet or lifestyle change is really understanding your body and your mental health. i think that is definitely the key to becoming healthy and maintaining a healthy weight (even if it is not our desired weight). i wouldnt think that zc works for everyone just like south beach or weight watchers doesnt work for everyone. for me, zc works becuase i dont have to think about what im going to eat. the answer is easy, meat and water maybe with the occasional soda or protein powder in emergency cases. i dont have to count carbs. i dont have to worry about adding carbs in. i lose the ability to listen to my body when my brain is going crazy with carbs and wanting morrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeee. so far i have been very happy with zc. i feel so comfortable with myself. dh and i were play wrestling around with the dog adn i didnt feel paranoid about my shirt hanging loose and dh being able ot see my tummy. i have been sleeeeping like a rock. before zc, on lc i would sleep well. or so i thought. i sleep so soundly that it sorta scares me! haha. i fall alseep within 5 minutes of getting into bed. and wake up actually feeling rested, with no desire to go back to sleep. ok, so some days we are all lazy and hang around in bed on weekends, but i cant go back to sleep! that's never happened ot me on a consistent basis. i really wish that i coudl carb cycle, or eventually add in sweet potatoes or oatmeal. i really wish that. but for me, that woudl totally make my mind go crazy and i cant afford that for my own mental health and clarity and happiness. plus my marriage!! anyway! i am soooo proud of you bekki for breaking 165!! funny how one pound can mean so much. have you tried any new recipes recently? i have lots of random ones in a binder somewhere if you're ever itching for something specific. my boss was on business this past summer for three weeks, so i printed out recipes all the time!! haha hope you had a terrific Tuesday!!! |

164 EVEN!!
I am psyched. I have not been eating that many carbs. I will next week after I get out of this slump. Finally I moved on the scale. ![]() I have been having bacon (cold) and HB eggs and string cheese during the day and a great dinner at night. Last night I had a NY steak and 1/2 avocado. Getting in my water too. My work pants are getting loose. I want to buy more but I would rather wait a few more weeks and see if size 8 will surely fit. I feel great but sleep less hours. I know thats good but I love sleep. I guess I need to get use to this! this means I am getting healthy!! |

I bought the boys regualr fudge bars and we have them for a treat. this way I can have only one at a time.
I feel great today besides a bit cranky. Body feels good, brain feels pissy. Not sure why but thats ok. I am going to work it out on the Wii Fit. Not sure whats for dinner. I am thinking hamburger paddy with brie and avocado? Sounds yummy!! |
