Its 9:31 on Saturday night and I am so bored. I made oopsie rolls and cheese cake muffins which are cooling. Dinner was made and put away. We had carne asada (on the BBQ) and green beans cooked in butter. I had a square of 85% lindt chocolate. I am surfing the net and looking for ....what? Not sure.

Tomorrow I am making Peppered chicken wings, 2 lbs bacon, spinach artichoke stuffed mushrooms, cheese crackers, egg salad, SF jello and ricing some cauliflower for the week.

I had an arguement with my oldest and since he is as hard headed as me I think he will be moving out. It really bothers me when we have a disagreement. Thats probably why I am restless. Tomorrow is our weekly football/soccer time and I do not think we are playing due to what happened. I hope we work it our tomorrow earlier. It eats at me. He left about 1 and I have not heard from him. He is 20 so its not unusual for him to go out and stay the night at a party or buddies.

Blah, blah, blah.

This year has not started off the best at all. But at least I have lost some weight and am eating healthy and exercising. Oh, I stopped smoking on the 30th of December, and have not had even 1. I have not told my kids (I did not smoke in the house, mostly during work) or parents yet. I did not quit just not smoking. I will say I quit 3 months in.

Stopping by to say hi Sorry to hear about the argument with your oldest. My two are 10 (son) and 8 (daughter) and while they aren't at that age yet I swear they test the waters with their tone.

You're meals look good. Thanks for sharing some great eating ideas.

Take care and I hope you get some rest.

Up early today. I am sure its due to the arguement with DS1. Still have not heard from him. He is hard headed like me. I need to call my mom and apologize right when I get done here. I bet I was a devil growing up.

Got on the scale. Down it went. 164.7. Not alot... but I will take it.

Today I am headed to the store to get some ricotta cheese. I want to make crepes w/blueberrys for breakfast this morning. I do not eat friut but I will have some. I have had them before 2 weeks ago and did great. Then I am boiling eggs, cooking 2 ponds of bacon, cheese crisps, egg salad and not sure what else. Maybe egg drop soup for lunches.

Going to do some laundry, get it going before I leave to get ahead, change my sheets, sweep the floor and do at least 45 minutes on the Wii fit. I would like to do 1 hour so I will see.

Then when the game is on I can relaz, eat wings and play on the internet.

My goal is 45 minutes every day on the Wii fit this week. Bringing my total up by 4.5 hours. I am not sure where I will be this weekend so I need to get it done before Saturday. I have a catering job Saturday. I love catering, I do it on the side.

Is this odd that I am just rambling. I have all this energy and then to top it off my mind is w/DS1. Praying for a resolution or at least meeting half way. He has my strong headedness.

Have a great day friends. I will check in after my chores are done.

found you....

Good morning Bekki!

I had to do some looking but I finally found your journal.

Sound like you are getting allot out of that Wii fit. I'd like to have a Wii someday. They sound like allot of fun!

Hey, congrats on your new numbers on your scale. I didn't even bother getting on mine this morning. Since I am laid off for the next 2 weeks I think I'll hit the workouts hard. I'll have allot of extra time on my hands. Who knows, maybe I'll go back to work smaller then what I was when I left. That will be cool.

Thanks for stopping by my journal. It's alway good to see new people!

Today I did yoga, balancing games like soccer heading, skiing, and arobics. The one I like the best is boxing. The time goes fast.
Sometimes I do free stepping aerobics and change the channel so I can watch tv while I am doing it.
I think when I get to 160 even I am going to buy a new game for the fit. I have been told the female trainer from the biggest loser has a game and it is hard.

Hi Bekki,

I tried some of the Wii fit games while visiting the in-laws a few weeks ago. My arms were quite tired after boxing.

Sounds like you got a lot done. Hoping for a peaceful resolution between you and your son.

Well DS1 texted and asked if we could talk. I told him sure so he came home. After my big speal he said he knew he was in the wrong. He told me I made alot of sacrifices for him his entire life and he realized it last night while playing Halo with his (13 YO) brother last night until 2am. WHAT????? I told myself he was partying with his friends and was not even thinking about our disagreement. I made myself believe this. He stayed at a friends house and his buddies went out to a party. He stayed there and played his brother videos games. Until 2 am. I guess they talked alot he and his younger brother.
Weird. This morning DS2 told me everything would work out, dont worry. I chaulked it up to DS2 being sensative for mom. I had no idea they talked nor played games with eachother online while not at home.
long story short, I did a great job raising these boys. I know I have. I know they both have a big heart. I know they love and trust eachother. I know they stand by eachother thru good and bad. I know they love their mom and stand by me.
I guess I need to realize my 20 YO is an adult. Has his own opinions and own ideas. I wanted him to be a leader not a follower. I have to let him lead, even with me.
I was angry when he walked in to talk, in tears as he talked, and had love in my heart as he walked away to play with his brother again. He is a great man. I love the person he has grown into. I need to let him be that man. That very special man.

Wow! Bekki, you are right to be proud. LIVE in that moment, and the knowledge that your sons are great people!

You know, losing weight is important...but it's very critical to keep it in perspective...there are so many dimensions to all of us...not just this weight.

Hugs my friend

Wow.. its 1:00 and I have done nothing.... so after I get done with you, I will get started..

Sorry you had some words with your DS... .. I know how you feel.. its hard to see them as adults.. Korbey is 18 , yet still in High school.. so I am on a fence..lol.. I have to pick and choose what I think he should be able to do or not to do.. ya know.. but like you, I feel I have raised him up good and he knows right from wrong.. its his choice which way to go.. as hard as it is.. sniff sniff.. they will always be our babies.. no matter how old or big they get.. .. but we must "let go".. I have gotten better after I prayed about it and gave it to God..

you menus sounds good.. ..

and congrats on the scales..

ok I better get myself started on the laundry.. ugh..lol..

later tater

Today I strayed. I knew better. I am not going to beat myself up. It was a shock though. I got the worse headache and my co workers told me what a cranky kate I was. (I work with all men.)So tomorrow I know the scale will scold me and I do deserve it. I need to get on the Wii and work it off.

What I did learn is I can not eat 4 M&M's and 3 cookies. I will have a sugar headache and feel like poop. I had to actually take Tylenol. Live and learn. Oh I had a banana too. It was so good. My taste buds have really changes and I think when I do climb the ladder and let friut in I will enjoy it so much more than before.

Tonight I am having ham and an avocado and as much water as I can down before bed. I am going for 50 oz.

I decided I wanted to be down to 157 by the end of the month and have 12 -18 hours on the Wii fit. Did this in the February Daily Weighers Challenge. Check us out there.

Isn't it amazing how our tastes change and fruit can be such a treat?? Don't beat yourself up...the water and exercise are the perfect follow up to a carb fest

I loved your post about your son. Really touching.

Are you doing induction now? Any plans as to when you will start moving up the carb ladder?

No plans on moving up the ladder yet. I need to eat more and get more fat in my body first.

I weighted in at 168.6 yesterday and am afraid to get on the scale. 4 M&M's and 3 cookies did this. No flipping way. I did not do wii fit last night as my BF was here when I got home and felt silly hula hooping in front of him. This weekend I will have to but thats ok.

I did not eat well today. I did NOT stray but did not bring breakfast or lunch. I went to Red Robin for dinner and had a salad and water. Came home to sugar cravings so I had a cream cheese muffin with a shot of whip cream. It hit the spot.

Tomorrow I will weigh in right before I shower. And do some Wii fit.

hey bekki, all i can say is that you are definitely human!! your positive mood and costant committment will get your right back on track! and if anything, you now know that even a little bit of sugar will make your now healthy body sick. it doesnt want that junk!! plus this new way of eating/living makes you appreciate all that nature can give. who knew all the healthy stuff actually tastes amazing!
ps. . i once had an energy drink (sugar free of course) and was so hyper, i hulla hooped, with a real one, in front of dh, and i think we laughed so hard i almost peed. haha. its actually quite fun and will make you smile my dog went crazy too. . he had no idea why i was being so hyper and jumping around. . so he joined in!

Got on the scale this morning 166.8.

Oh well. What can I say? Not much thats for sure. I knwo what the problems are.
1. I caved and ate 4 M&M's and 3 cookies.
2. Not exersizing every day
3. Not eating enough fat or portions and skipping meals. Not good for my metabolism.
4. Not getting enough water.

Easy enough to see but hard to accomplish.

I hit the golden 10 hours on the Wii fit!!! Nice gold/bronze time counter!!! That I am proud of.

Tonight I am making sour cream chicken. And probably riced cauliflower smoothered in butter. Tomorrow I will get on the scale again and pray to the scale fairy, and cross my fingers.

Hi Bekki!

I am mudding, taping and sanding drywall in the kitchen. Oh what fun that is!

If I had M&M's in the house...as soon as i ate one, the whole bag would be gone. The good thing is that you know what your problem was and now you can fix it!

Congrats on 10 hours of Wii fit!

Don't even bother with the scale fairy. It's all you. No one else. That scale is an evil critter and very addictive. It does make great target practice though.

Diner sounds really good!

Take care!

I helped my brother hang dry wall in his bedroom. His wife and I mudded and sanded. Did an ok job. Just have to have a feather hand doing both..

I want to redo the counters in my house in tile. But am to afraid.

the chicken smells wonderful. I am having an avocado and asparagus also. Made 6 thighs. I hope DS1 does not make it home for dinner so I have left overs.

Today the scale was being a little nicer.
166.0
I have 2 32oz Smart Waters riding shot gun today that I will drink before I get off work. I will do at least 45 minutes on the Wii fit and eat good today. I am looking forward to a nice huge steak with gorganzola cheese and butter for dinner and packed a ceasar salad for lunch and cheese. Breakfast will be black coffee, string cheese and pepperoni. Not the best breakfast but better than nothing.

I need to grocery shop this weekend.

I will check in on you all later. To work I go!!

Hi Bekki! Congrats on the lower numbers! Keep on keeping on. Keep that water flowing too. Speaking of water...I need a glass right now.

Once again your diner sounds awesome! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who puts butter on steak!

hey bekki, awesome job on the 10 hours plus of Wii fit!! thats impressive. i have a trainer appoitnment at my gym tomorrow. . im scared!!
your steak sounds amazin g. . . i had a ny strip last night! it was soo yummy. i couldnt finish it all, who knew that would ever happen. having the leftovers tonight iwth a nice fried egg. who doenst like steak and eggs?!
you seem to be losing again just fine! so happy for you! a littl eslip up is just that, dont let it mes wiht your head like it does with mine and ends up with too many days off plan. keep in mind that too much cheese stalls some people. you can always do an experiment and cut it out for a few days and see what happens. i know, its yummy and helps add fat. i only threw that out in case you wanted to try something out.
i hope you have a great fun weekend planned!!!
