well Linda...they have places here where folks get all snarky and crabby if you go talking about cakes and farts and cats and important stuff like that! Did you know that? Yes they do...they get all snippy and tell you to take your cakes and cats and play with them elsewhere so that they can work hard without being distracted by all this silliness But I rather like sillines so I don't go there too much anymore. They don't seem to mind pictures of ducks though...thy have some pretty cute ones there now as a matter of fact I kinda miss visiting everyone there but I have trouble refraining from off topic silliness you know so what's a girl to do? ...so anyway, now that Amy has a journal and doesn't seem to mind all this silliness I can just come here and visit...problem solved.

And I guess since Amy's having trouble finding time and energy to check in right now, we can just keep the light on in here for her and hang out and visit until she can get here!

Hey Amy...how're you feeling today? Are you managing to stay on plan? Do you have new pics of your cats? Hmmm?? So here's a photo to make you smile. Here's my sweet Autumn having a cupcake party with her best stuffed friend, "Browno-Whiteo," The "Nanuck Family" and a couple of other stuffed dog friends. She named them herself. Browno-Whito came from Seaworld and he's nocturnal you know....LOL.

So...are you smiling?

Vickie, Autumn is just precious. I know you adore her. I can remember when my nieces were her age. We had so much fun together. When they came to my house, we did whatever they wanted to. I hosted several bunkin' parties as we call them with about 20 girls at a time. What great memories.

Yep, we're like Motel 6, Amyb. We're keepin' the light on for you.

Stopping in to say hi and check on you all

Reb, I gotta say - this is exactly how I feel. All of it. Except I didn't make a pork roast today and usually put some water in the bottom of the crock pot when I do. But all the stuff after the steak and broccoli. That's me.

Well, I'll be here as long as our lights are on. We have no power at home and limbs are falling everywhere. I am so thankful that we had most of our big trees cut down -- at least, the ones that didn't fall on their own. I've got to figure out what to do about our water, etc. for the next few days. I put down some blankets in the bathroom for the pets, so they can all cuddle up.

I came to work which is about 5 blocks away, but I was drawn up the whole way. A huge limb fell in the neighbor's yard and there were explosions from tranformers, I guess. Some people around me have power, but we are hooked up on another street. I came to work to have lights and heat, but who knows how long that will last.

Anyway, I would rather be here than going through all those medical tests. I'm glad you are getting some of them behind you. My DH had to have an MRI and couldn't stay in it. They had to reschedule him for an open one -- and he's a real HE man. Nothing sissy about him. He was really surprised he couldn't do it.

Amyb, I will continue to pray for you and Philip. Throw us a line and let us know how it's going when you feel like it. It's really good to "see" you here.

Amy!! I'm so glad you checked in! I'm sorry that you have to go all of the stuff that you are having to endure right now. You and Philip are in my prayers. Like Reb said...we'll keep the light on here for you so you just come when you can and don't feel bad about it when you can't.

Thanks everyone for commenting on the photo of Autumn and her party picture. She's a hoot! Sandy...I think your little guy could grow up to be perfect for my Miss Autumn! He's a cutie patootie!

So...this weekend Vern and I went to the zoo. It was one of those almost rainy days...which of course are the BEST zoo days! The animals were so active and cute! I stood and watched the meerkats and laughed and laughed at them. Vern was like, "um, are you ready to go yet?"...LOL...I was saying "um, no...I want to watch them a little bit more...they are soooo cute!" there was this one little guy who kept standing up like he was reading the sign...he was my favorite!

"Who are we again?"

good to see you are still here AMYB. Hope Philip is doing well with everything he is going through too. and DH too cause it has got to be tearing him up having both you and Philip so ill and not being able to fix you both.

I hate MRIs too. Never heard of a YUCK test but I will be sure to tell my doc no thanks should he ever schedule one of me.

So how is the low carbing going for everybody?

Vickie has MIss Amber been recruited to be a member of your diet support group? You can give her an official badge when she visits to help remind her to not temp you with her yummy cupcakes any more.

Hmmm...maybe...but part of me doesn't want to introduce Miss Autumn to the world of "dieting"...you know? But maybe she could help Grandma Honey "eat healthy" OK...this is a secret so don't tell yet...but I think I am going to go back to Low Carb when I finish up the higher carb fruits and veggies at my house.

eating healthy and sticking to it is the important thing. I hear you on that diet word.

I took some youngsters to the zoo and explained to a 3 yr old why he couldn't feed his food to the elephant because the elephant had a special diet. He said oh and I didn't think anything more about it. Took the same kids to the zoo the next yr and that little boy ask me if the elphant had lost enough weight yet? I ask what he meant and he said the elephant was on a diet last yr so he couldn't have some of his popcorn.

ahhhh Linda...believe it or not, I am afraid for them to read it. I'm afraid they might say yet another insensitive thing and I really couldn't take that right now. But I'm glad you read it. It was sooooo theraputic for me to write it. I sat here typing with these cleansing tears streaming down my face. Then I went out this morning and bought DS #1 a beautiful new bible for his birthday next Saturday. It was awesome! When I told the lady at the bible bookstore what the bible was for, she stopped in the middle of this busy store and took the time to pray for my son! How cool is THAT!?

Oh, Ms. Vickie, that picture is incredible! LOL How cute? You should send that in to a magazine somewhere. If you were a boy and a Scout you could send it in to Boy's Life - oh, I know! Send it in to Ranger Rick

My little guy is sick today He is running a temp, but our digital thermometer is on the fritz and the old fashioned one broke a long time ago. He has a headache, too. I'm thinking I'm going to have to send dh to town to get a new thermometer.

Amy, is Cole feeling better? Tell him he gave his ickies to Mr. Eli
