OMG Linda!!! I WISH that was the case!...LOL.
Seriously though....meeting the couple that we gave the mattress and box springs to, was probably the highlight of the weekend for me! They got here at around 5:00pm. Their names are Elias and Vickie. They were such nice people, about the same age as Vern and I. They are raising their 3 year old grandson and recently lost their home when Elias lost his job because of the economy. They have been sleeping on the floor because they lost their furniture too. They were intelligent, well spoken, truly NICE people who have fallen on hard times. They were so grateful to get our old set. It was so humbling to be allowed to be a part of God meeting their needs. I am touched and humbled and inspired by meeting them. |

aww Reb! What a nice thing to say! It did feel REALLY good to be able to help that couple...but honestly, I didn't have such altruistic motives when I put it on craigslist. I just didn't want to have to figure out what to do with our old set...and it was still in good shape...so I figured someone could use it and I wouldn't have to figure out how to haul it away. It was purely the grace of God that turned it into such a neat experience...it wasn't anything more noble on my part than not wanting to have to figure out how to get rid of it!...LOL I'm glad I know you too! |

Well, since we are all friends here, I will share my experiences of late. I had a period after a year and had not had an exam for 12 years. Ok, so shut up so I can tell you the rest of it. Long story, short, they did a pap smear, a biopsy, and a vaginal ultrasound. After waiting a week, I found out that everything is ok, but she put me on some medicine to take for 10 days. I read the side effects and I'm either going to grow some fur or lose some. To be continued...

Hello .... did ya'll miss me?
![]() I've been really, really busy on a project with Jill. Exciting and not a single thing to do with KK, weight loss, fraud, or any other grimy thing. And guess what? You really CAN teach an old dog new tricks If you're on Twitter, look me up ... ELFOnline. If you're not, you should be ![]() As for not calling Amy, well, darlin' I've called you three times today and have you answered? Noooooo. Of course, you might be sick as a dog, but well, I'm just sayin' ... Girls, don't be fooled. I'd never bail on my pal, Amy. I'm might get a little busy once in awhile, but I'd NEVER bail.Reb, glad you got your sticks picked up, but sorry to hear you even had to worry a smidge about your cars and the hail. Also not sure what to say about the whole fur thing ... could come in handy in the winter, so maybe that is God's way of answering prayer? ![]() Vicki, LOVED the bed story. Maybe you just entertained angels in your home! You never know ... ![]() Well, all ... we are having a thunderstorm tonight. Better than a blizzard, that's for sure! We are up higher on the hill in this house so it is a little louder (translate that to it sounds a lot closer!). Eli came crashing into our bed last night when it kicked up, so we are just going to start the night out with him on a cot next to our bed. He's my little sweetie. Have I said that lately? ![]() Catch up with you all later! Love you all.

Amy, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so sick. I can relate a little because the meds the doctor put me on have really done a number on my system. I was really sick Friday night and yesterday. I also know about hip bones having big mouths. I was in a wreck years ago and have had several falls since then and my right hip really "talks" to me.
Glad to see Mom back. We missed you. As for the storms, they will be hitting us pretty soon. The wind is gusting here and there are tornado warnings all around. Speaking of Eli, my Mama told me this little joke one time. She said a terrible storm was coming up and little Johnny was scared, so he jumped in bed with his parents. They had a long talk with him about fear and how God is with him at all times so there was no need for him to be afraid. He said that he knew that God was always with him, but he was looking for someone with skin on 'em. Maybe, that's what Eli was looking for. Ha! It's time for Vickie, gran, 2Big, and some others to check in. Hope ya'll all have a great Sunday. |

Are any of you from the states/areas that had the horrible tornadoes today?
If so, I pray for your safety. Amy, praying for your strength and healing. |

We got lucky so far, but I think we still have a good chance in the next few days. (Why do they say a "good" chance? Shouldn't it be a bad chance?) Anyway, I'm in Tennessee, and I think they went just north of us today.
