I wanna be the "hot mom" LOL

ok just kidding.... I would never want to outshine my daughter or my beautiful nieces BUT I would not mind a second look from the single fathers of their boyfriends LOLOLOLOL ROFLMAO
OK ALL KIDDING ASIDE

ok started atkins 9/24.. almost 1 month after my 35th birthday ... what made me want to be healthy?
When my nieces and daughter play with my belly fat, I saw several pics of myself when i was skinny ( before my 10 year old daughter was born) and now...AND when i found out all my mom's 7 brother and sisters including her became diabetic after age 40..

I will try and post my menus and progress... success and setbacks ( never say failures) here.

tomorrow I will weigh in and post todays menu...

I hope this journal not only helps me see what helps me but helps others with recipes, ideas and inspiration

sat, weigh in... 155.6 i have been up and down 1 - 1 1/2 lbs all week

well if i dont make it to my thanksgiving mini goal... I am darn close LOL

yesterday was a disaster! I worked BOTH jobs so i left the house at 7:15 and get home at 1 am... well i forgot all my food that i had packed!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i stopped and got sausage and water for breakfast... then at lunch i left school during my planning period and went to hardees and got a lowcarb burger and water

on my way to my second job I got 5 chicken nuggets and took off the breading

I stopped at kroger and picked up a bag of hot wings ( 3 for 1 carb!)

they supply snacks at work so i had a few peanuts.. and part of a cucumber


then when i got hungry again i ate 4 hot wings.

whew! disaster averted myabe did not get all my veggies in... but atleast i did not carb it up!

down to 155.. the scale actually said 154.8 but after gettin on again it went to 155.. I always get on 2 or 3 times and take the one that shows up most LOL

yesterday.. I shopped ALL DAY... got so hungry driving home that i stopped at mcdonalds.. ( so tired of burgers wo buns of course) i got nuggets and took off the breading..

when my DD was little she hated the breading so we always helped her peel it off so i remembered mcdonalds was the easiest of the fast food chains to do this to LOL

anyway... i geuss all that walking helped me on the scale!....

yesterday:
b: sausage and 1 piece lc bread
s: 3 hot wings
l: lc beef stew
d: 10 breadfree nuggets
s: nuts, 1 piece pb fudge
water, water, water, diet coke

ok so it almost been a month since i posted... I am much better at writing in my paper journal than here... I tend to do it at work while the kids are doing thier class work... since this is my last day at school till us teachers have to go back maybe i will be more dilegent to post here.

I lost down to 153 but lost control during a certain time of the month and am back to 154.4 hmm thats 1 month no progress but i did join the gym with my mom and convince her to do atkins with me.. she started 175 now she is 171 or 170.. woo hoo mom! mom is on a fixed income so i make big dinners and take her 1/2 quite often

My abs are killing me after the last two workouts... the gym owner will work with me and mom once a week so we do not get bored doing the circuit and machines all the time.. in the last 2 days i have done 300 crunches in various and assorted ways! she says i will thank her when summer gets here but I curse her ever time I sneeze cuz it hurts LOL ROFLMAO

any way.. gonna be good really wanna be as close to 150 as i can by christmas and that is just a few days away.. I know i wont make it so my goal has changed to 150 by new years

OH well gotta take the good with the bad!

so far today i have had
1 coffe with davinicis
1 jay robb shake ( chocolate)
mixed with 1 tbs heavy cream
2 ounces of cream cheese
an egg , ice, and water

lunch is chicken salad and a hotdog with lc bbq sauce and cherries.. weird mixture i know but i was tryin to gather leftovers and finsh them off before i go shopping tmw. ( pay day!)

dinner will be some k ind of salad i am sure

dinner yesterday was shoneys resteraunt..

had a sald
beef tips
and steamed broccoli...

very filling

breakfast today was 3 pieces of sausage and a powerade zero..

on my way to the gymm with my mom so no much time to type. then i will make christmas candy ( not LC for friends) and off to work 5 till midnight...

ok lunch was pretty late today had to pay bills and exercise LOL

lunch was radishes and hot wings... strange i know but i needed veggies and something quick...

dinner was tuna salad on 1/2 a josephs pita.. almonds and heres a confession i ate a sf russle stovers to try and not do it but i ate a chocolate covered coconut ball.. I had made a huge batch for work and gifts... but i am safe now because i made sure there were NONE left they have all been delivered...

OH well back on the wagon again... i am gonna do better tomorrow... I hope.

I have discovered something about my self and if u know why or how to stop it i would appreciate your feedback!... If i take a nap or wake up in the middle of the night.. I crave either sweets or potato chips! usually sweets... why is this?

any way at least i was down to 153.4 this morning! yeah even with all the small cheats I really am trying! at least i dont give up all together when i stumble.

ok wont be journaling as much as i would like my lap top all of a sudden stopped searching for wireless connections something about not having the hard ware... well it did 2 days a go!

any way... i am making my portion of christmas dinner tonight to take up to my sisters for christmas... i plan on making 2 lc desserts for me and mom.. yes i eat the dressing and sometimes the potatoes but at least i go lc on the drinks and desserts

i was back up to 154.4 this morning.. i just cant seem to break the 154 mark... when i go exercise today i am going to ask them to measure me again so i can at least see if i have lost any inches... i am not due for measurement or weigh in there till after the holidays but i bet they will if i ask

anyw ay happy holidays to all of u!

153 this morning!

done well over the holidays... thought i would cave with all the holiday candy no i was not perfect but I did very well

I have hurt my lower back and i cant do all the exercises i normally do but... I am doing ok. I still go to the gym and do what i can I am not go ing to let it get me out of the habit.

153.2 this morning

THANKS! 6in2007 I thought it was cute too...

you know no one wants to be embarressed by thier mom's looks LOL

I am 35 and my BF just turned 26.. I always tease him when i lose all my weight he can say he is dating a hot mom LOL

not sure what the deal is but i have not really cooked a meal since christmas!

I just snack around on legal stuff... I have got to stop! I am not getting my veggies in this way...and thats not good

today i had a can of vienes.. 3 wheat crackers
a couple hot sausages
some pork rinds with dip
a sf lc icecream (5 net carbs)
a bite or 2 of turkey... see the problem with snack snack snacking and no real meals is i cant remember everything i ate!

I will try to plan out a menu for tmw.. lets see.. hmm

breakfast... a shake or eggs and bacon

lunch a onionburger and broccoli

dinner meat and broccoli

I am going to the doctor tmw about my lower back... if i can get in!

I am also going to the gym to see what i can do there low impact of course..


i will post my progress on eating more veggies tmw.

Howdy Jill! Thanks for visiting! I'm going to say your already a hot mom!!!

You asked how tall I am. I'm 5 ft 3.75 and very small boned. I was at goal a few years ago and looked nice but not skinny if that makes sense. A girls got to keep those curves!!!

Hey one good thing about being a turtle~ statistics show we are more likely too keep it off!

How did you injur your back? I might be able to assist a little there if you need any advice. I have been fighting the surgeons for over 10 years years for my 3 degenerating disks (dumb dumb accident and my fault) through alternate means with good success. There is a lot out there to help. And I am not against using pain killers until those alt treatments kick in.

Ok cook your meals girly (I say that but tend to snack too!)

ok so i had a shake today... pretty good....carb count down milk, whey chocolate carmel shake mix, 1 oz of cc. ice cubes and water

it was pretty good had maybe 1/4 of it cuz i was running late for the doctor and didnt want to take it in with me..

ok so she gave me too much meds for my back and told me not to work or exercise for several days! work is not a problem cuz we are out ( gotta love the school system) til jan 6th.. but i hate not exercising

my daughter and i went to cracker barrell for lunch... YUM from the low carb menu i had grilled roast beef with mushrooms and onion, green beans and a side salad.. so good!

for supper i will have a cassarole ( turkey, cream of mushroom soup, hot sausage, and green beans)

so all in all a pretty good day

i did eat 1/2 of a carb conscious bar... 13 carbs for the whole thing ( 1 fat, 5 SA) but i only ate 1/2 so thats 7 carbs

oh and super thanks on the hot mom comment LOL

Howdy hot mom! Great plan to list the food. I find it really helps me a lot.
Funny we are the same height!

When you can move decent again maybe you can get the dr to either give you sheets with physical therapy exercises or send you to a PT session. It really helps strengthen those muscles and protect you from hurting yourself again.

We can't get the carb countdown milk here anymore~ bummer!!!

I had no idea Hardees did LC burgers! Good to know!
The only place I could buy the CountDown was Walmart about 30 miles away. I was bummed they quit carrying it. Darn!!!

ok having a bad back SUCKS out the rear! i have done nothing but lay and eat all day!... i ended up eating a rs candy, a bite of my daughters garlic bread pizza ( not as good as it looked!) pickels and pork rinds... and that is ontop of what i listed earlier... 1/4 of a shake, roastbeef with oinion mushrooms and green beans.. 1/2 a carb concioius bar and turkey green bean cassarole..

I have got to stop.... If i do this everyday i will never lose the last 15 pounds... ok so there is my rant... lets just hope i find something to do tokeep me busy so i dont snack around all dag gone day!

Yep that bad back thing sucks! I joked with dh the last time I was 100% laid up needing assistance to walk that at least I couldn't get into the nuts 10 x a day.

Easier said than done sometimes I know but stay away from those HC munchies.

You totally deserve those last 15 lbs so get going

Do you think joining a clean eating challenge will help? The one I joined in Dec helped a lot. The new one starts Jan 1 if you care to join us

cool a clean eating challenge is exactly what i need! how long do they last... and what is the link to the challenge...

I ended up waking up around 3 with my back needing to take 1/2 a pain pill and my excuse for eating a square of cold pizza was.. piss on this i have to eat so i wont get sick and i dont want to wake up my DD or her friend by cooking...

Oh well today is a new day!

I also need to stay out of the nuts! I have them sittin on the counter where i walk by and i get some EVERY time.... i need to put them in the cabinet maybe that will help.

The challenge runs month to month. There are even prizes! Meekness is sponsoring the Jan prize. I forget who has Feb but I have March.

i so need the jan challenge... i just joined I am not even gonna post what i ate today i did not just fall off the wagon I did a swan dive off

but I will be fine i try not to beat myself off. I have not had a complete day off in a long time... yea i have had cheats here and there but not a whole day like this...I know it was because of how frustrated i was at what was going on today...

but on the flip side I did get a wii fit! i cant use it yet but my dd loves it and it is great for her:0...

I have to admit i did try a yoga pose or two and tried the hoola hoop but my back hurt so i did not do it long... Lots of fun!

You lucky girl! I've been trying to get the wii fit for ages. It is always sold out here. I think you have a really healthy attitude about not beating yourself up!!!

yeah i am lucky my sister works at one walmart and my best friend ( who i have been trying to do this woe and she lasted 2 days ) works at another walmart... my bestie called me and said they had some in and would be puttin them out.. so I went and got one.

I think i will try a meat and egg fast for today and tmw to get me back on track for the jan challenge. not sure how that is gonna help with my current situation of constipation and gas LOL

ok so today is the day! i joined a clean eat challenge..
I will watch what i eat when i am bored..
Can't exercise yet but as soon as my back allows i will get back to it!
I will get all my water in


I love myself and my daughter enough to do this!

stratagies:
use power pops at night to avoid eating...( a sucker with hoodia 24 cal 4 carb yes it has 2 sugars but they tend to help me)

make more meals ahead of time
hide all non allowable snacks... or make them not so easy to get

write down everything every morsal every bite in my menu... in both my journal and when i check in on the challenges! BE ACCOUNTABLE


ok for who ever reads hope i did not bore u with this but i had to get it out on paper ....

LOL I giggled at your bowing cuz of the cheat free holidays. Too bad it isn't paying off yet! It has to eventually!

I see your point with meat and eggs with the constipation. I cant do it just simply cuz I get bored.

UPDATE

on food consumptioin today... i will forget if i dont jot it down

b: egg and 2 bologna, water
1/2 cup coffee with davinics
1 sf sucker
snack:
1 sweet pickle ( splenda)
1 hot wing ( my daughter was eating them i just had to have one LOL)

lunch:
pizza( mozz cheese 1/4 cup... 1/4 cup sauce ( 4 carbs) 5-6 pepperoni and some green bell pepper) water

supper???? hmm still up in the air..
