Stews! I started w/ wanting to lose 77 lbs, which isn't that much less than what you want to lose. You can do this!! You know that you can! Just focus on one day, or one pound, or whatever inspires you.

Today's breakfast and lunch were the same things:

* pork rinds w/ bacon grease
* salad of lettuce, grape tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, pepper, bacon bits, and slivered almonds (only had those for breakfast)
* meat cooked in the crock pot in a South American-tasting broth/seasonings

ETA--Oh, and I ate about 3 raspberries when I was putting some in a container in the freezer.

My scale lies. It said 167. Of course, I DID have hashbrowns for dinner, and a huge marshmallow (Have you seen the s'more sized Campfire brand marshmallows? BIG! And 22 carbs EACH! ) with some Hershey's chocolate. Uh...I still want to believe that my scale was playing a trick on me!

Yesterday's food

lunch
bacon

snack
movie theater popcorn
blackberries
(not many of either)

dinner
Indian food: papadum, raita, 5 cups chai w/ sugar, potatoes & peas, okra curry

So, why am I 1.5 lbs less than yesterday? Not that I'm complaining.

TODAY'S WEIGHT

158

I saw some old friends yesterday whom I hadn't seen since May, and they all were freaking out about how much weight I've lost. I had 2 ask me what I've been doing. It was then that I REALLY started looking at others and realized that I'm no longer bigger than most people. Don't know when that happened, but it was sure nice to notice!

WEIGHT--
Went to the fair and had fries, and a chocolate bar. Probably would be down some in my weight if I hadn't done that, but it was fun!

Last night I made:

* fried chicken legs (99 cents/lb) (dipped in pork rinds mixed w/ garlic powder and Cajun seasoning)
* fried "fish" (yellow crookneck squash cut lengthwise so that they are fish-shaped, dipped in egg then pork rinds, then fried until soft on the inside and crispy on the outside)
* cucumbers, tomatoes, spring onion, fresh dill, in a vinegar/water mixture w/ pepper, crushed chilies, and lots of garlic salt

Cheap, yummy, and good for you--and low carb! Everybody loved it!

*********
For dinner tonight:

* roast w/ A-1, pepper, lots of garlic powder, topped w/ onion slices and the fat that I cut off the sides (to keep it moister), baked at 225 for 6 hours
* Brussels sprouts w/ fake butter (allergies, you know)

Been trying to eat more meat and fat and fewer vegetables.

Went to the Y, and did the pull-up machine before the other weights. I put the weight on 19 (second easiest setting) deciding that if I ever want to be able to do more than 3 or 4, I need to make it easier so that I can do more so that I can build my strength. I did 3 sets of 8--with the last 2 of the 2nd and 3rd sets being almost impossible to do--and 2 sets of 8 of the kind w/ arms bent, down at my sides. I'm excited about getting into shape!
