I had the best lunch! It was the limo ride to lunch and I had chicken with some kind of champagne orange sauce, potatoes and asparagus. YUM!!!

YESTERDAY'S WEIGHT
167.5

TODAY'S WEIGHT

167

I'm pretty sure that I was at least 170 last Friday. Don't know why I keep eating things that make me retain water! I went back on Atkins w/ no food allergens on Friday.

TODAY'S FOOD

breakfast
green tomato slices w/ sea salt and pepper fried in bacon grease
carnitas

Thyroid medicine:
I've been taking T3 medication for a few weeks. I feel much better! It wears off by the time that I'm supposed to take it, then it wears off in the evening, so I asked my doctor about taking it 3 times/day. He said to double the dose in the morning, and continue the afternoon dose as is, and to not take a 3rd dose. I don't know how that will help, but I'm not a doctor. Waiting to see. I'm actually sleepy right now, and I thought that I'd be running around like a crazy person w/ that much T3. Hmm...I think that I DID read that taking too much makes a person sleepy, just as not having enough makes a person sleepy. I'd think that it would have opposite results!

Nope. It didn't work. I am SO tired that I don't want to do anything. All that I need to do is cook dinner and go buy some sugar--not difficult to do, but I want to sit here or lay in bed. I thought that I should try this for a few days, but I don't want to spend another day exhausted for the second half of it. I might call him in the morning.

UGH I hate feeling that way! I have been feeling great still as far as having energy to do what I need to do. I guess that means my doctor knows what she is doing! I was tired after that thing happened with DH but it was from emotional upset and crying. I HATE the after-effects of that kind of thing almost worse than physical stuff!

I am doing terrible diet-wise. TERRIBLE. I do better for a day or so then slip right back down even worse.

You can do it! What about this:

Make a menu for a week. Add enough stuff that you LOVE so that you stick to it! Go shopping for everything you need, including snacks.

It really helps me, because then I WANT to eat the foods that are on plan for me, then I'm past the cravings, and it's easier to stick with it.

I can't do menus when it comes to myself. I am at too many different places at different times. It's not that the food is not available. It's the cravings I think, way more than usual. I am pretty sure it's still the progesterone. Not making an excuse I just have to overcome it. I have to rise above it and get control in spite of it! It's thrown me because I got used to my appetite being a certain way and now it's stronger than it was. Just thinking through this..thanks for the idea. I don't mean to strike it down, just know that won't work for me. Now keeping the good foods on hand helps and not skipping breakfast helps. Hey, maybe I should make a list of the things that help!

TODAY'S WEIGHT
167

I said, "What?" when I read it because it's the same as yesterday. Then I thought about what I ate:

carnitas (no carbs)
a big salad w/ balsamic vinegar
a whole green tomato
sausage w/ mangoes in it
sweet and sour cabbage
several cherries
1/2 a large apricot

HOW MANY carbs was that?!?!? I'm surprised that I didn't blow up like a balloon, actually!

I've been eating cherries everyday this week. My weight has gone up a pound. Not that I'm freaking out about a pound, especially since it could just be water retention. It's that I could've been down a couple of pounds if it hadn't been for the cherries.

Lesson learned: fruit stops weightloss for me.

I am a bottomless pit today:

probably 9 pieces of bacon
2 avocados
1 tomato
wilted lettuce salad
1/3 green tomato
few spicy pork rinds
Italian soda

Hmm...maybe that's not a lot of food. It IS after 6:30!

Hmm...the scent of green apples is supposed to be an appetite suppressant. I don't know if you can find some green apple oil to set at your desk, or how well it actually works. Have you tried eating lots of fat? Does that help? I'm so sorry!

No I haven't tried the lots of fat. Good reminder. I probably need to go back on Atkins with loads of fat until I get it under control.

Weight has been back to 167 and 168. I need to stay away from the berries or just decide that I'm not going to lose weight this summer and enjoy them more.

TODAY'S WEIGHT
166.5

Not bad after eating off plan last night. Plus, I had bad water retention. My rings were spinning around the day before, and for the first time in YEARS I could take off my wedding ring (I didn't...I like to leave it on. The only times that it has been off...maybe twice...I asked Matt to put it back on for me. ) but last night, it hardly moved! Same w/ my ring from my daddy.

I have lost 8.5 pounds this summer! That's amazing, because it (mentally) feels like I've lost 1 pound because my weight goes up and down from eating offplan so much (mostly berries and theater popcorn). Keeping records is GOOOOOD for me!
