We shop at a butcher that has only organic meats, and a lot of them are free-range, and even heritage breeds. I love it!

what is a heritage breed? and what do you both do to make ur poppers?

Kroger and Fred Meyer are owned by the same company, and FM has organic meats, so maybe!

I don't remember what I do! I'll have to search lcf for a recipe! I baked or broiled them, don't remember which.

Heritage breeds are breeds of animals that go way back--closer to the way that God originally made them. They haven't been altered by men doing science stuff. (So technical of me! )

I just cut them in two and stuff with cream cheese and then top with bacon crumbles. Then I bake them at 350 for I think about 25 minutes, can't remember that part.

They are YUMMY! I didn't make them last night because I ended up stopping by to get some ribeyes on sale (DH's favorite). Tonight I am fixing chicken for him and I'll make some poppers for me if I have the energy. That has been a big problem for me lately. I TRY to push through and darn it sometimes I just cannot do it.

Then I had to take a long shower because I have some medicine that I'm supposed to leave on for 20 minutes. Today was day 2 of that. It's quite a new experience for me to have to spend 20 minutes doing NOTHING but thinking. Getting a lot of thinking and praying done. Kind of scary, though--realizing all that's wrong w/ myself and how much pain it might take to work through things that I need to fix. I am definitely asking God to help me w/ them--NOT trying to do them on my own. Then I got dressed, did devotions w/ DH, made breakfast, did some laundry, trying to clean the house, have a chiro appt, people coming over later... Phew! So...what am I doing HERE?!?!
