I think that you're doing great! I'm sorry that your weight isn't cooperating, but sticking to it is awesome, IMO! KUTGW, Chewie!

Just curious, did you decide to do the newer Atkins or '72?

Do you want ideas right now, or would you rather just keep going as is and see what happens? Let us know what you want or need, OK? I don't want to let you down by not giving ideas or by giving them! I want to help you! I love you!
I don't even know what I want. For 2 weeks, I lost 6 lbs. That is really nothing especially considering how large I am to begin with. I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing. I'm trying to stick to Atkins 72. Thanks for your support. I need to get this weight off.

I used to do that. It really is a great idea, they read just as well and you get them half price. They aren't cheap!

Is stomach burning a side effect of ketosis I can't remember. It feels like that's what it is and I didn't have anything to eat that should cause it I have had (not on purpose) under 10 carbs today probably. It's just been a totally crazy day with not much time to eat.

I've never heard of it being, and I've never had it happen.

I, too, don't know what's going on. It's still happening, my eye is red, my throat feels like it needs to be cleared, and my nose is a little stuffy. Sounds like allergies, but WHAT am I eating that could be causing this? Pork rinds? Vienna sausages? Those are the only not-from-scratch things that I've been eating, and the only things that I don't "always" eat. I don't get it at all. Oh, and my stomach is still distended.

I take an over the counter diuretic from time to time when it gets bad.

Very interesting article Wendy. We really need to research companies before we buy!!! I am certainly going to pray, think about and research this and talk to DH about it.

Edited: Not sure why I posted this here, wasn't paying attention. That's SO not like me!!! Hee hee

Thanks! Hmm...hating water...well, let's see... We buy filtered water, and it really is a lot better tasting in our opinions, and we already have pretty good, not very chemically flavored well water. (Area well, not our own.) Years ago, I started by adding lemon to my water. You could also add mint. Mint in really cold water is really yummy, IMO! Normally, I prefer room temperature water, so if you haven't tried that, maybe that would help? I know that some people prefer it close to freezing, so it really does seem that the temperature could make a difference. I don't mind the flavor of it being cold, but I can't drink very much at once when it's freezing. Brr!

Yes Wendy, like it better room temp, hate lemon in it, hate anything in it really. If I drink it it is when I am SO thirsty I can't stand it or I force myself. I don't force myself very often.

We have a spring water thingie here at work.

Potassium!

Last fall I was really tired--just like I have been now. I started taking potassium (didn't mention it to my dr for some reason) then he put me on adrenal medicine. At some point, I cut the potassium. In Sept? I started forgetting to take my adrenal medicine. I've been taking it, but honestly, I'm still really tired; although, I do feel better to some degree. Maybe it was a combo of the 2 that helped me last year! I have been getting leg cramps at night. Now to remember how much I used to take.

Oh I hope so Wendy!!! It's great to find a relatively simple solution to something like that!

Today's eating

Okay let's see, I had 2 pieces of fried bologna with 2 pieces of cheese melted on it.

1 oz. of peanuts

2 McDouble's no bun, plain

Oops I think that's all. I was so busy I didn't realize I didn't eat more. That's it, I doubt that has EVER happened before!

Goodnight!

LUNCH
2 bunless Dick's Special burgers--those are CHEESEburgers! That didn't click w/ me until 10:40 PM!

my salad had sugar

Since I had just had sugar and milk, I had a few sips of DH's chai.

I really don't feel well, and I just might know why.
