Chewie, sorry that you're not doing so well. Do you have any mood lights--or whatever they're called? I own one, but haven't used it this winter. I think that it helps, though.

I haven't tried alternative crusts, but I've thought about doing it. Thanks for the recommendations!

You didn't hijack it! I like having you two here!
I'm glad. I know I like being here too.
Today I had:
2 cups coffee w/cream & davincis
2 1/2 quarts water
scrambled eggs with fried ham
taco salad(Yum) & a few slices of salami
Tonight is rotisserie chicken and veg

So I ate about 5 pieces of bacon and had some water and I feel better.
Yum, bacon.

I'm so glad he got an appt so soon. Good luck.

I did my supplements and ds15 came in and said what are you doing? And I explained how I haven't been taking my stuff and he asked "just vitamins or prescriptions" and I have to admit I stopped taking the thyroid and adrenal meds and those are prescription. He said "oh that's why you've been nutsy lately." Tee hee!!! BUT not crying over spilled milk, tomorrow I'll be back 100% on my supps. Not hungry at all today. This is very unusual.

and !!! DH notices too if I miss an anti-depressant pill or something. He is very in tune to how I feel. Sometimes I just get down and he has learned to understand that it's okay that I want to be quiet and just watch TV or something. It doesn't happen much at all anymore but for a while it was on and off. For some reason when I went on that hormone cream it was REALLY bad. I was up and down up and down really badly during that time.

We went to the Barrel to eat! YUM! I had grilled catfish, green beans and a garden salad. SLURP!

DS's appointment went really well! He got a good doctor evidently. He told me some of the questions he asked him and they were REALLY good. Some doctors know diddly squat about anxiety and depression but this one seemed to be more informed. He starts the celexia in the morning. I think he feels better to know he is not "crazy" if you KWIM.

Biggest Loser is on!

I am so glad that you're getting back on all of your medicine. You will feel SO much better, I'll bet! (Not that I bet, but you know!) If I miss my thyroid, I notice within HOURS. I get crabby ; I couldn't go off that one!

How cool to not be hungry!

I'm so glad that your DS found a doctor who seems to understand.

Yes! They are!!! I was watching the weigh-ins when it was pre-empted for a local sports report. Our football coach is leaving after only one year and everyone is LIVID about it. I didn't like him anyway but he is leaving us in a bind with recruiting and trying to scramble to find someone.

That's WONDERFUL Wendy! How encouraging!!! I am proud of you!

I was up one pound this morning but not sweating it. I had a bigger meal than usual last night and sometimes I gain a pound or so before going down 2 or something. Still exactly on plan!

I hope this "induction flu" goes away after today. I don't remember having it before but low carb was a long time ago--guess I'm detoxing from sugar & white stuff. Ugh.

I have heard of that a LOT. In fact I felt kind of bad for the first few days this time. What is strange for me is that last time I was LCing I pretty much never got over the fatigue. This time I am feeling really good. I am eating the same things so I have no idea except our body changes so maybe for me it's for the good. I am also getting good sleep now that I am on the sleeping pill and hadn't really in years honestly before this. I think a good night's sleep helps EVERYTHING and definitely gives you a LOT more stamina during the day.

Are you sleeping well Chewie?

I had foods that I could find today. Weird list I know but here it is:

1 hard boiled egg
4 pieces of bacon
1.75 oz bag of peanuts
toppings from 2 slices of Papa John's pepperoni pizza
1 half pound burger with 2 slices of cheese

Oh and I went to Curves today!!! Had a pretty good workout!

I'm not sleeping well because Jim's not home but I'm making up for it with a daily nap. I hope to be able to give up the nap soon. As long as the supps start helping.

Good job on working on and being on plan for all this time with all your stress. How's Dusty today?

Chewie, sorry that you're feeling icky. I, too, have repeatedly read about induction flu.

I took my vitamins this evening, but forgot to take them this morning.

TODAY'S FOOD
pomegranate green tea
2 sausage links
1 small sausage patty

green tea
rice-free sushi
deep-fried squid (w/ only a touch of flour)

macadamia nuts (1/4 cup or so)
chicken breast w/ butter
1 TBSP coconut oil

lots of water

Thanks Chewie! One more night alone for you right? Do you have a big pill thingie with the days of the week on it for supplements? I do mine once a week and include all my vitamins and stuff. I love it! Dusty is MUCH better! He thinks he can already tell a difference with the celexia and that may be true. I remember when I started on an AH years ago, I could tell no kidding the VERY first day. Just depends on the person I guess. I am so glad he got it. I think he really has needed it for a long time.

Thanks for noticin'!!!! Good to see ya jump in now and then! I miss you a lot!

I lost 1/2 of that pound I gained. Still thinking it's nothing I am doing, maybe sodium or because I went to work out. I will evaluate Monday and if I have actually had a GAIN for the week I MIGHT consider changing something. I anticipated after the 10 pound lost in induction that it would slow down though. Anyway, my clothes already feel a lot better and I feel better so that's a plus!!!!

OH and my BP was 122 over 70 at Food City on Tuesday!!!!

Actually the pill thing I have is am/pm--2 sided and I have another one that I fill too. I was doing it once a week too and will continue that. That's how many pills I take each day. You'd think I wouldn't be hungry. LOL
