New low! BUT it was at 10:00, so I don't know if I should count it. I weighed 186 at 6:15. I guess that I'll see what I weigh tomorrow before getting excited about it.

I have had so far today:

3 pieces of crisp bacon
2 eggs with a little heavy cream and melted hot pepper cheese

3 tall cups of coffee with SF Hazelnut coffeemate (need to watch this and have been but was really wanting it today...COLD!!! ..and stayed up too late )

Just did a ketostix for fun and it was "moderate" right smack in the middle. That's why I could go all day without eating.

cholesterol

Dec. '08

I had my cholesterol checked. Bad was slightly high. Dr. said to see if exercise made it come down. I started low-carb and exercise, and it came down a lot and the good came down only one point.

Dec. '09

Had my cholesterol checked, again. Still lowcarbing (although, I had 10 days w/ sugary crud right before the test. I don't know if that's enough to affect it or not), but haven't exercised at all since beginning of November. Dr. office just called to tell me that my cholesterol is "out of whack"--receptionist's wording. I can assume that the exercise is what had helped it, I suppose. I've been planning to start P90X; this is a reason to actually do it! I'll talk to the Dr. soon to get his take on it. I really want to have the VAP« (Vertical Auto Profile) Test done, but I don't know if it's legitimate or not. I know that I'll be nervous asking him about it, because I don't like to sound like I know better than he does. There I go, again, being concerned so much about the wording!

Another thing that I don't want to mention to my Dr.--Atkins '72. He wants me to do low-carb, but w/ lowish fat and a certain number of calories. It seemed to kind of work, but I couldn't stick with it--I was always hungry and obsessed w/ food. I was wanting my cholesterol to be low, because then I wouldn't be concerned about mentioning Atkins to him. NOW... *faints at the thought* What will he say if I mention it? Maybe something like, "Obviously, it's bad for you...look at your cholesterol level." Then, again, maybe he won't. I really have no idea because I haven't been brave enough to mention it to him.

YAYYYYYYYYYYYY WENDY!!!!

I am home! I got some things at the grocery store on the way. I got the jalepenos so I could try the poppers, can't WAIT! I am not sure now that the cream cheese I have in the fridge is good so may have to get some tomorrow.

The roads are getting very slick. It is under 30 so they are freezing as the snow hits. Glad I got home when I did! I picked up a rotisserie chicken so we're having that tonight. I will eat broccoli with mine.

a few more handmade, squishy, greasy fries than I had intended (only about 10, but I was going to eat 1 or 2 ) (LESSON LEARNED--Don't eat the first one unless the kids are going to eat the rest! and/or throw away what they don't want as soon as they're done instead of convincing yourself that a few are OK.)

1/2 avocado
3/4 ounce cream cheese
Asian milk tea--vanilla white tea w/ SF coconut syrup and 4 TBSP half-and-half

Yes and then down some more!!! That's 9.5 pounds and it will be 2 weeks tomorrow!!! I never dreamed of losing like this this time!! I am SO happy!! AND motivated!!!
