So, where have I been?
Friday dinner and movie in Seattle Saturday Powell's Books and Dave Ramsey conference in Portland Sunday made and discussed budget w/ hubby (Yes, it took me all day.) Monday visited my parents, took SIL to dinner and to see Anita Renfroe in Portland Tuesday drove home, did stuff w/ kids, had date night w/ DH Wednesday slept in! I'm still sleepy! ![]() |

Saturday night I ate 1/4 bag of Tim's Cascade potato chips to keep myself alert while driving--it works for a while. My weight has been between 196-197.5 since then!

Note that I haven't changed my stats because I want to believe that it's water retention. How could I have really gained 3 pounds of fat from a few ounces of potato chips?
Then again...why is it still here?!I'm going to ensure that I drink 12+ cups of water, no fruity tea, and lots of fat today...if nothing happens by tomorrow...well...nothing will happen! I guess that I'll then do it for another day. ![]() |

Yes, it was. Friday was expensive, and I really wanted to bail on it, but it had been planned and our friends didn't want to change plans.Saturday, I didn't even buy anything at the bookstore because they didn't have anything that I felt was a necessity. At the conference, I got the kit for kids--to teach them about money--for $50, which is a good price, and I was going to buy it after Christmas for more than that. We all loved the conference--went w/ the same friends who "made" us spend a million dollars the night before. JK...I know that it was, ultimately, our choice. We had Whole Foods for lunch because I left our homemade lunch at my parents' house (oops!), then we went to Denny's after the conference. I really wasn't happy about that because we had agreed ahead of time that we would be getting deli food at Safeway. I have to get more persistant about things.We all agreed that the conference was motivational and informative! I'm glad that it wasn't just a big pep talk. Friends said that they're going to work on a budget when they each have a day off together. The evening w/ Anita Renfroe was a gift to my SIL, paid w/ MY money (DH and I each get an allowance to spend on whatever we want), so that's how THAT night fit into our budget. ![]() Oh, and our date night consisted of sitting in the hot tub discussing money to spend on Christmas. Glad you had a good time! And I have been having to get more "persistent" lately too. It's very difficult for me to do. If I don't watch it DH tends to get out of hand from time to time too and I don't realize it. But it's all good.

I was in a hurry this morning, and only had time for a short post. After I got offline, I realized that I had left out that info. ![]() I ate a ton of fat yesterday, and tried to remember to drink a lot of water, but I don't think that I drank more than 8 cups, if that. Not sure because I forgot to use my pitcher. (I fill an 8-cup carafe in the mornings, then fill my glass from that so that I can see how much I have or haven't drank that day.)What I ate yesterday: * 4 slices of thick bacon w/o blotting off the grease (I just remembered that some people actually do that! )* kale cooked in bacon grease w/ onions, garlic, salt, pepper * pork cutlets dipped in egg then ground pork rinds, then deep-fried, topped w/ about 1 tsp tonkatsu sauce (SUGARY, but I really, really wanted it because I only have tonkatsu every few years and it's one of my favorite foods) * coconut oil--2 TBSP, I think * cabbage and onions cooked in soy sauce, butter, sesame oil, hot chili oil * a square or 2 of a CHOCOperfection milk chocolate bar |

192.5 ![]() I haven't seen that number since 2007, I think. I got down to 178 then, but gained back the 30 lbs that I had lost--plus 5 more. ![]() I am SO excited to still be losing weight!! |

I made Chex Party Mix yesterday, and am staying away from it!
I ate a bunch of the nuts, and a couple of Cheerios and Chex, and I was OK with that, but THEN I picked a Chex from the bowl and I could feel it starting...the desire to stuff my face w/ Chex Party Mix! So, I didn't eat any more! I do NOT want to get derailed by cereal! It's not even creamy or chocolate! ![]() So, I'm retaining a good bit of water today--too many salty nuts before bed w/o a ton of water. Today's weight 192.5! ![]() |
